"Railene, are you really not learning? Tomorrow is the test," Ben picked up when he saw Railene casually reading a storybook. Instead of reading a textbook or reviewing material, the little girl instead read a translation book with a henchman. He is not bothered by Ben's grunts and does nothing to start learning.
"You should relax before the exam comes. It helps you answer the exam smoothly" Railene said to at least silence Ben for some time.
Ben hung back for a while before sighing constantly. Twice, he felt Railene's laziness slowly increasing by the day. The first is the aspect of teaching, the second is the aspect of learning. Railene never even had a nervous look at any situation. This always makes him wonder.
"Are you an alien?"
The question just came from Ben. Railene on the other hand did not think it was important, but she thought for a moment. He looked at Ben seriously.
"You're bener. I'm an alien from the planet Mars" he said with a frown.
Ben broke down a moment ago pouting. He knew Railene was teasing him and couldn't say much. The little girl in front of him had metamorphosed very well. Even his annoying level went up a few levels. Makes Ben restless because even though he was upset, he could not or rather did not have the heart to reply Railene.
"Rai, teach me one piece of material, will you? Please..," he continued.
Railene is indifferent. Back to her porcelain doll-like appearance. Read the book quietly. No matter the surrounding including Ben.
He already knew the competence of Ben and the boy was already quite capable of digesting himself. It's just that, sometimes his paranoia regarding the exam made him lose confidence. He often asks Ben to understand what he is reading. It was evident that the man understood enough. The problem is anxiety without its basis. Ben was too nervous about taking the test.
Although younger than Ben, Railene is a once-adult person. However, he has better mental stability than his normal mental age. That means he has more control over things related to emotions, thoughts, and mind. Unlike Ben who has the goal of following it properly. Ben would be anxious if he didn't do something well. And his current nervousness was due to his own chaotic thinking. He felt he was not quite capable and chased after Railene in such a way as to understand him properly.
Railene actually understood Ben's concept and school of thought. However, sometimes he needed to ignore it in order to form a momentum for himself. Ben needs to realize that, without Railene, he can and can afford as long as he can resolve his own anxiety. Pressing it down to what remains is the awareness to pursue it with confidence.
Words are not enough for Ben. The man needs his own proof and learning. He can stand firm when mentally strong and can be stable in a precarious state.
So, today Railene let Ben. In the end the boy stopped whining and sat down next to him. Stole his own textbook. His forehead was often wrinkled, then his eyes would sparkle once he understood one thing. Railene silently watched with satisfaction.
...
Exam day.
Railene was ushered in by Diza early in the morning. The little girl only carried writing supplies in her bag. He was walking leisurely in the lobby when getting out of the car. Replying to the greetings of some who greeted him. They were all sixth grade children and there were also top fifth grade disciples that were equivalent to sixth grade. The school is closed due to the National Examination. Only interested students and supervising teachers came.
Unfortunately that doesn't apply to Railene. The little girl walked towards the elevator and pressed the button towards the floor of her exam class. It was still the same floor as his class, it was just that he occupied the second grade.
The exam room is arranged by filling the bench from first to second grade. The rest were left blank as other students were comforted. The test is carried out in writing by shading answer sheets that are able to be read by a computer.
He sees Ben among the students sitting in first grade. Because their initials were different, Ben and Railene separated the room. However, when Railene passes first class, Ben sees Railene's silhouette and rushes out of class. He will consult Railene for their first exam.
"Railen!"
Railene stopped walking and looked calmly. His face exuded an infinite calmness. Anyone who saw the look in his eyes, they would automatically relax and lose tension. The same goes for Ben.
"Where's your seat?" Ask Ben then. He walked next to Railene and headed for the second grade.
"Line to third, by the window." Railene pointed at one of the empty seats near the window. The light intensity is just right and it seems very comfortable to sit there.
Ben nodded. He picked up Railene's bag and was surprised to find it so light. He turned his head and understood that Railene had brought nothing but his pencil case. Railene is seen smiling cheerfully and ignoring Ben's helplessness.
"Do you learn enough?" Ask Ben curiously.
"Yes. I learned enough." Railene answered immediately.
He answers the truth. But, his impingement was different to what Ben meant. Ben also realized that and could not help but sigh. He didn't struggle to nag anymore because he knew how capable Railene was of facing this test. He's just worried that he won't be as good as Railene. So he went to meet her to chat for the sake of gaining calm.
"I studied all night. But, quite nervous. I'm afraid I can't answer the question. Something could be hard, right?" Ben started to confide. He sat next to Railene and did not make a loud noise. Some friends who are learning are focusing on memorizing some material or strengthening the memory. So, Ben wouldn't talk hard to bother them.
"Don't worry. We've learned everything that might come out. Stay calm and focused the same. Don't think about the time that goes by and answer the easy questions first. Hmm, don't forget to be thorough. If you've done all that, your test means good." Railene gave advice in a whisper. Her eyes sparkled brightly giving confidence to Ben.
The boy remembered Railene's words. He also noticed the twinkle in Railene's eyes and relaxed. Smiled wide despite being a little nervous. However, he knew his mind had been organized and far from anxious. He only understood Railene's sentence and wisely applied it.
