The pura AMNESIA

The pura AMNESIA
I'M ON YOUR SIDE

CALLISTA POV

Silence, all that was heard was the sound of a wall clock ticking. The TV sound suddenly disappeared, probably because it was turned off by Gani. Whether they both eavesdropped or not, I was no longer dizzy.

Me and Ken are busy with their own thoughts. Trying to guess the hell and understand the situation that is still ash. In the past, laughter jokes will color when we are together, but now, just want to talk the tongue feels funny.

"You know Cal, what I was like back then? What was it like when I was in the U. S. and was told you were dead? My world suddenly stopped spinning, my world collapsed instantly." Ken looked ahead.

"I remember two days before you told me you were coming back to Indonesia. Yeah, I think we'll meet soon to let go of the miss. But all I found was your headstone. I'm even so sorry I couldn't see you one last time." His voice began to tremble, I could feel if he was holding back a cry.

Even with me, my eyes are heating up, tears are hatching without me preventing them. I'll guess before he sees. I don't want to look weak. I should've put it on now, not cried.

Ever since Ken became CEO and I went to college in Japan, we've rarely met. But the communication was never interrupted, every day he always contacted me via phone or just chat. His attention did not diminish even if we were separated.

"Where do you know I'm here?" If Kania is here because of Safa, then why is Kak Ken here too? Although siblings, but they're not close. It was impossible for them to make a pact to go together. Or not, Rama?

"Know?" He laughed lightly. "I never know because all I know is that you're quiet up there."

"Then, how did you get here?"

"Mama."

Deg, man,

my heart is like jumping from its place. So Aunt Sofi knows I'm here?

"Mama told me to accompany Kania. There is no reason to refuse because this is the weekend. Ever since you died from drowning, mom's been paranoid. He would often come up screaming at night, having nightmares or hallucinating seeing you."

I was quite surprised to hear that. Is this what is called being pursued by sin. Was Aunt Sofi scared by herself after she felt she had killed me? Although he didn't directly kill me because I fell by myself, his actions by letting me drown included murder. He let me die.

"Mama is afraid something will happen to Kania. Jesus Kania!" Scream at Ken while standing up. He seemed to have realized something.

"Kania is on a boat at the moment. I should have accompanied him to take care of him as my mother ordered." Brother Ken stood up straight away, he looked anxious.

"He'll be fine."

"You mean?" Brother Ken looked at me.

"He's with my husband now. I'm sure my husband can protect her."

"His husband? So was that man really your husband? You married Cal?"

I nodded slowly.

Ken's brother nibbled his temple. He looks frustrated.

"I'm getting confused Cal, I'm confused about all this. Why did you leave your family and choose to live here with strangers and even get married?" Ken grabbed both my shoulders and looked at me questioningly.

I put away his hands violently and looked at him sharply. He seemed surprised at my treatment.

"family? Who's family? My mom and dad are dead, I don't have a family anymore." Press me.

"Stop talking nonsense Cal. We're your family, me, papa, mama, Kania."

"Family! What kind of family would kill his own family just for money." Shouted while standing. I don't care anymore if Santi and Gani listen. I can't hold back anymore. My chest is tight if I remember the harsh reality of being betrayed by my own family.

"Mem, kill?" Ken looks shocked. It seems that he does not know about this matter.

I finally told you all about today's events. Starting from me who was called home and forced to marry, until I drowned and was left alone.

Brother Ken was silent hearing all my stories. He looks so beaten. Perhaps he still could not believe if the old man he had respected had done this deed. No tears were shed, but her hand holding my chest made me sure she was very tight at the moment.

Why am I now the one who feels unbearable. I should have vented my anger at her for what her parents did, instead of reaching out to hug her like this.

After a while in my arms, I felt her tears melt.

"Sorry, sorry." It's the only thing that came out of his lips, I don't know how many times he's been until I can't count it.

"Sorry Cal, sorry." My tears are melting.

"I should have been there to protect you. Should, should." His words were interrupted by sobs.

"Time cannot be replayed. It's all happening."

Brother Ken raised his face while wiping away the tears. He took both of my hands and held them tightly.

"Come home with me. I'll make sure all your rights come back to you. And for my parents, I gave it all back to you. I won't prevent you from reporting them to the police."

I know how hard Ken said that. He loved his parents very much, especially his mother. I'm sure this is the hardest blow of his life.

While I was comfortable in Ken's arms, I saw someone standing at the door and watching us.

"Blue!"

I immediately let go of Brother Ken's embrace and rushed over to Blue.

"Don't get me wrong, I can explain everything." I said as I grabbed his hand and held it.

He smiled, my extraordinary man smiled at me as he touched my head. Behind that sincere looking smile, his eyes implied a wound. Will he be jealous?

"Not as you think, he's my brother."

Blue nodded, "i know."

Ken came to you and extended his hand towards Blue.

"Kenan, Cal's cousin's brother."

Blue welcomed the hand while saying his name.

"Blue."

They stared at each other for a long time, until I finally broke the awkwardness.

"Have you eaten?" I asked Blue who looked tired.

"Blue, don't mistake me." Gani's words made Blue who was about to open her mouth back to silence. "I've denied them both in the room, but Cal maksa. He even said you knew his brother."

Gani why be a gini stove anyway. Make me go ahead.

"Go home yuk." I wrapped my hands around Blue while looking at Gani and glaring at her. Instead of being scared, he chuckled at me. Damn it is people.

I was about to take Ken's brother home, but his phone suddenly rang.

"Kania nelfon, she seems to be looking for me."

"Please don't tell me anything about Kania."

Brother Ken nodded while touching the top of my head.

"Consider my advice. Don't linger long. This problem should be resolved immediately. I'm afraid mama or papa sold your assets without my knowledge. If so, I can't do anything. Tomorrow we'll talk about how good it is. I'm on your side."

"Thank you brother."

"Nitip Cal." His message was on Blue and instantly taken in.

After Ken came home, Blue and I went home. Actually Santi and Gani want to hold me for an explanation, but I promise tomorrow because Blue looks tired.

Arriving at home, I immediately hugged Blue from behind. Even if he doesn't say anything, I see he's not okay.

"Don't be jealous, he's my brother."

"Cousin's brother Cal, not the bladder. You are not mahram. Can't I be jealous when I see you two in the room hugging?"

So my guess is right, he's jealous.

"May, of course you can. But not as you think. We used to live at home, our relationship was like a sibling."

Blue let go of my embrace. Turn around and look at me.

"I kept your mind up during the sea. I can't even concentrate. I want to go home and make sure you're okay. But what I see, the person I'm worried about is actually good at hugging another man." He nodded while twisting both eyes.

"Sorry." I'm sorry I disappointed him for the umpteenth time. "You mad?" I asked while looking down.

Blue touched my chin and made me look at him. "I'm not angry." Answer with a smile. "Just jealous. I was wrong because I couldn't control my feelings and couldn't understand how close your relationship was. Don't feel guilty."

"Thank you." I held him back tightly.

"Take off Cal." Reject it while trying to escape from my embrace.

"So'an." I protested with a frown.

"I'm dirty, smelly, just got home from work."

"It smells good." I hugged him back while I kissed his face.
