CALLISTA POV
After buying the quota immediately I contacted Rama. No answer on the first call. Unyielding, I kept contacting her until at last, I could see her face on the mobile screen.
"Ca, Ca, Calista!"
He was so surprised to see me. Don't let him think he's vidio calling the same ghost.
"Ka, ka, are you right Calista?"
I stifled a laugh at the look of disbelief on his face. But pity as well, he was deathly pale like seeing a ghost.
"Ca, Calista."
"No, but a kuntilanak that resembles a Calista." I answered with a laugh. Where is a ghost as beautiful as me?
The image of Rama is suddenly gone. Shit, he turned off the phone. Don't let him be scared right now.
I contacted him again until his face appeared on the phone screen.
"What the hell is a goat, when it's killed?" My grave's furious.
"Are you really Calista?"
Oh, my God, he doesn't believe it either. What should I convince him.
"Did anyone call you a goat besides me?" My atonement.
Rama was silent, it seemed like he was thinking hard right now. Since long ago, I did often call him a goat because he had run away terbirit chased by sacrificial goats while playing at my house.
"Fuck....." Rama's expression suddenly changed. What was once frightened, suddenly became clouded. "You're still alive, Cal?" Rama wiped the corner of his eye. She cried. I never thought my best friend from childhood would be so moved to know I was alive.
"Ram...." Call me lirih. I got carried away. No one talks between me and Rama. We just stared at each other and I saw him wipe away tears many times.
"I can't believe I can see you again Cal. Me, me." Rama ran out of words.
"You're alive, Cal. You're still alive." Rama turned his gaze to wipe away the tears and shrunk his nose. This was the first time I saw Rama like this.
"I think I've lost you for the rest of Cal. I thought I wouldn't see you again." Rama continued to cry.
"Apaan the Ram. Dong was crying. I'm following the cry." My tears began to seep from the corner of my eye. Touched to see Rama who turned out so lost when I was declared dead. We have been friends since childhood, until I considered him as my brother.
"What really happened Cal. How can you still be alive?"
I told the chronology of the incident so I could be stranded in a fishing village. Rama seemed emotional, he did not expect that Aunt Sofi and Kamal could do this to me. Which makes him inexhaustible. They could have made a funeral play for me. Even according to Rama, they cried bitterly as if they had lost a nephew whom they loved very much. Anyone who saw, would definitely be touched by their so-so-wrenching cries. They are very smart at acting. So the more I can't wait to see their destruction.
"Then whose body is in the tomb?" Rama asked.
"It certainly wasn't me. Because I'm alive" I replied.
"Sweetly they are. Because of them, I come to the graves of unknown people every day and cry there."
"You cry for me every day Ram?" I don't believe it. Up to her side. Came to my fake grave and cried every day there.
I saw him arrive misbehaved. He seemed to have slipped.
"Love me your full address Cal, I'll pick you up."
I immediately shook my head. "I still want to stay here, Ram. I'll be back when I'm 21. At that time, I will seize all my rights and take revenge on them." I said with one hand firmly clenched.
"But I can't let you be in a foreign place alone, Cal. I'm worried about you."
"I'm fine. Look." Look." I showed him my whole body and some parts of the house. "I'm fine here Ram. But..." I paused my sentence.
"I don't have any money Ram. Where the rice runs out, soap, odol, oil gor_" I stopped my sentence when I saw Rama's mouth gaping wide.
"Ka, do you think of Cal's rice, the odol, the soap?" Ask me not to believe. I was like a dream, too. All this time, I never thought about spending money or the exorbitant cost of education, let alone thinking about rice and soap.
I nodded slowly while putting on a face of melas for him to sympathize and send me money.
"Haha"
Unexpectedly, instead of sympathizing with me, he laughed at me. As if all this was a joke. All I thought about was between life and death. Thinking of the rice I'd eat to save lives. Yeah, not so many times either.
"Since when did Callista think of rice, soap, shampoo, hahaha."
"Teroosss, teroooosss, laugh a teros. I don't need to be laughed at, I need money." My heart sullen with annoyance at him..
"Quick tranferin I'm 100 million."
"Don't be crazy." His mouth while glaring. "I'm not a CALS owner whose money is not eaten by seven derivatives. I'm just the manager over there, Cal. Do not compare me with you whose debit balance is unlimited. My salary's still tight because it's only been a year's work."
Jaelah, even vent. Why the hell, if it's a matter of money, not Santi, not Rama, all at once vent. The feeling I never get if there are people who borrow money. Maybe that's why they like to be friends with me. Either sincere or just just use.
"I cut 50 percent, 50 million. I'll go back three times." My speech.
"Do you have an account?"
"Can use my friend's account." Reply quickly. Of course, it's Santi I'm counting on.
"50 million is not a little Cal. What if your friend cheated you and took the money away."
"Can't be. I'm sure my friend isn't like that."
I know Santi's a good woman. He's also innocent, there's no way he'll fool me.
"Don't trust someone new to Cal. I'm not gonna send you any money. I'm going there. But I can't tomorrow. I have to get out of town because there's urgent business. Once my business is done, I'll be there."
I had to agree. Hopefully the business is done quickly and can come here to give me some money. I told Rama not to tell anyone about my whereabouts. I also warned her not to call me on this number.
...****************...
Early in the morning, I again messed with the rice problem. The rice at home ran out and I had no money to buy it. No choice, again I knocked the bank house walk me aka Santi.
"Home here just to owe." She said sadistically as she just stared at this sharp trunk of my nose.
"You want me to starve to death? It's life and death. Lend me money, please.." I nodded while holding both of his hands. Bodo is considered shameless. Better to be embarrassed than scolded Blue.
I saw Santi breathing. I'm sure he wasn't that cruel to let me starve. He's the unbearable type.
"Later in the afternoon we sell souvenirs. If it's a lot of profit, I immediately return your money." I promise.
He's still flinching. It made me have to persuade him even harder.
"Your team let me starve San. I promise I'll pay you all my debt. Now lend me again 'cause I need money to buy rice." My whine is like a little boy asking his mother for money.
"You don't have the money to buy rice?" Asked Bu De who arrived appeared from inside.
"Blue don't give you Cal's money?" Ask wonder.
"I, i, it's Miss De." I scratched my head in confusion as to what to answer.
"BLUE!" Shouted Bu De while glaring in the other direction. Soon I followed his point of view. Damn, it turns out Blue came at an inopportune time. Shouldn't he be home in a few hours? Why does the morning blind appear. Don't don't let him really not make up the big job I kissed last night.
Blue and Mr. De walked towards us with tired faces. I looked at Santi, but he put his shoulder around as if he didn't want to interfere. My heart is pounding. What if Blue finds out I borrowed money to buy rice.
