The Prisoner of the Devils'
About

Skylar grabbed the car keys on the table. His gaze was then fixed on Andreas who had just entered his personal space. The man was about to open his mouth to ask the reason the master called out to him when the heavy and long voice first sounded.

"I'm going to visit him" Skylar said after putting on his leather jacket. "No need to accompany me. Today you just have to keep an eye on Starla. Don't get out of control. Don't let him get out of your sight."

Andreas nodded in understanding. Skylar does give time off for the bodyguards and other workers if the holiday arrives. There is only one special host of food providers who keep working. And for today, he asked Andreas to keep an eye on the situation of his residence. Of course Skylar couldn't possibly let himself leave his whore wife alone with a female homesteader, even more so Gavino was still eyeing his wife. He certainly did not want the incident to reoccur again, not helped in his own home.

Care about? Oh no, it's not a form of caring at all. He just doesn't want his personal toys to be disturbed. Nothing could destroy the toy but his own hands. It won't. Starla is hers, her stuff, her toys.

Yep. I'm sure that reason is more appropriate.

Skylar's steps that were about to reach the door suddenly stopped. He turned around and looked back at Andreas after recalling something almost forgotten.

"And one more," he said emphasizing the voice. "Don't touch it!"

Andreas was stunned by the order that had just been thrown from the lips of the superior before finally answering calmly.

"Good, Mr. Skylars."

A thin smile was etched. Although barely visible, it had already given a sweet impression on Starla's graceful yet lifeless face. And he swore that it was very rare to do so. Not even since the last five months, precisely after his meeting with the lifemaker.

The woman slowly sighed herself sitting on the garden— chair which triggered the presence of the thin smile. Somehow Skylar allowed himself to climb the park after venturing out to ask him for permission. At least, he still had time to set foot in this place before his life actually floated in Skylar's hands.

Her silent eyes without expression were unceasingly moving. Sweeping up all the beauty of a place that to him was heaven. It was truly beautiful after being seen directly rather than watching from a distance. The fresh air that hit his skin made him involuntarily close his eyes with a face that pointed at the clear sky. And at that very moment his mind seemed to whisper, telling himself to really enjoy the air, pampering his lungs before he would never feel it again.

His heart was broken when he remembered that. Oh my God, he's gonna be over soon. His life and his life are in the hands of Skylar. And he waited for when that day came. The day in which, Skylar actually managed to kill him with his own hands.

Long time the woman maintained her position until she did not realize if someone had been watching her with the view of the nelangsa.

Andreas stepped closer to Starla who chose to sit next to him which made the woman immediately turn her head quickly.

Andreas raised his pure smile. "You like it?"

After being silent for quite a while with a look of astonishment, Starla finally nodded slowly after wiping away her tears that had unintentionally trickled back down her cheeks.

"I'm Andreas, Mr. Skylar's personal assistant. We've been through this a few times."

The dark brown-skinned, stern-faced man reopened his voice, trying to introduce himself to Starla. The two indeed passed each other several times and met with eyes, only they had never had a conversation like this. And arguably, this was the first time they had started a conversation.

"I know," Starla said with her soft, hoarse voice. "Thank you for accompanying me here, Andreas."

"It's my duty, Mrs Wolves."

Momentary silence. They were again imprisoned in silence. Starla's gaze continued to be directed towards the front, where the flower garden was beautifully spread, as well as Andreas who drowned himself in silence.

Starla then asked a question again. "Your age is thirty?"

"Just like my brother."

Andreas turned his head quickly and looked at that expressionless face. "really?"

Starla nodded back. "Yes. Her name's Arlando."

Actually without being told, Andreas had known that for a long time, since Skylar first sent him to keep an eye on the whereabouts of the man.

"He's a good guy. The man in charge. The man who loves his sister. A man who values women because he values his own sister. A man who never let his sister down."

But that was before. And now, he doubted the truth after what happened.

Andreas observed the face of the woman who was trying to hold back the sobbing. He could actually see the pain buried in Starla's shady eyes. There is pain and suffering in there. Andreas can feel it.

"Want to hear something?"

Starla nodded slowly next to him.

"Mr Skylar was a very kind and friendly man. He had never done this cruel before. We workers don't even think that he's treating you like this." The man sighed, giving time for Starla to protest if she spoke wrongly, but there was no response from the woman. Make him continue his sentence.

"We've never seen him bring another woman into this penthouse either. He was busy with all the office work. And do you know? Everything he did was for Miss Gabriella, his sister. However, shortly after that incident, everything changed. He chose you to be his companion. Although in a different sense.

"I know," said Starla briefly.

"Even because of that, Mr. Skylar never thought of a life partner for himself." The man continued.

"Yes. I know."

"Trust me, he was a really good and responsible man before the incident happened. Do you remember the time of the kidnapping? He was so worried about you and chose to kill that man just for you.”

"I know."

"Mr Skylar never had a partner. Never been dating. What else is seeking pleasure with the night world. And I have no doubt, that you are the first and last woman who may be the spouse of Mr. Skylar."

"I know."

Andreas fell silent. He no longer continued his sentence. His eyes were fixed on that fragile face. Both corners of his lips lifted faintly. Well, Starla did not know and did not realize that she had just been fishing and found something hidden in her heart through the statement.

Andreas, however, swore an oath, all the words he uttered were the words of a Skylar. Not a mere nonsense.

"You know everything? How come?"

Starla looked up and looked at Andreas as the question thrust into her ear. The woman was worried. Should he give a nod as a gesture that he justifies, and say how can he know it all?

Probably not ....
