"Good afternoon! It seems you're healthier than you were this morning." Alex's doctor said hello again in the afternoon after checking Starla's condition. "And I see your lunch is still intact. Why don't you eat it?"

Starla frowned despite trying to smile weakly at Alex's doctor. "I'm still nauseous and vomiting, Doctor."

"Or you'd better stay treated here. Maybe I can ask Mr Skylar to let you stay in this hospital?" doctor Alex's advice is back.

Starla shakes. "No need, Doctor. I think I need to be treated at home."

"Then you have to eat. I'll order another menu for you, maybe hot soup and fruit juice can whet your appetite?"

Inevitably Starla smiles at how excited Alex's doctor is in taking care of her. "Thank you, Doctor Alex."

The young doctor nodded his head. "I just didn't expect a woman like you to be the wife of Mr. Skylar."

Starla was immediately stunned to hear Alex's words. "What?"

Doctor Alex's face flushed with embarrassment, he looked regretful of having said those words. "Ah, I'm sorry, Starla. Forget I said it, huh?

Starla shook her head. "It's okay, Doctor. Anyone who sees me will find it strange to see a woman who is far from standard to be Skylar's wife."

"But you're actually wrong, Starla. What else saw Mr. Skylar's behavior in the emergency room yesterday." Doctor Alex chuckles softly.

Starla frowned again, what did Skylar do in the emergency room yesterday?

Doctor Alex seems to know that Starla is curious about the sentence. He shrugged, then asked again, "But don't tell him that I'm talking about him behind his back, yeah. Starla turned her face away, not knowing what to say, all the new information was still unbelievable to her easily. Alex's words sounded absurd. Maybe he's the wrong guy, not Skylar.

"That night you ran out of blood, and Mr. Skylar who happened to be your blood type forced us to take his blood for you. Doctor Alex sighed seeing Starla pensive. "Ah I shouldn't talk too much, you should get some rest. Don't you have to go home tonight?"

When Alex's doctor leaves, Starla is stunned. Alex's story confused him. Is that really all? That Skylar was so worried about his safety? Wasn't that man too stupid to save his own enemy, to the point of having a blood transfusion for him.

Starla's mind was distracted by her realization that she was not currently being locked up in Skylar's tightly guarded home, she was in a public area. A hospital, and that meant his chance of escape was getting bigger. He had to break free from Skylar's clutches as he felt afraid to continue receiving that endless grudge. And Starla needs someone to help her get out of that place.

Doctor Alex? Can the doctor help her? If Starla asks him, will Alex's doctor understand? From his words earlier, it seems clear that the doctor Alex considers Starla is the beloved wife of Skylar. What if he tells the truth? Could it be that doctor Alex sympathized with him and helped him? Or maybe even report it to Skylar?

It scared Starla to death, she could not continue to be in the clutches of Skylar. He can no longer.

Skylar entered the room a few minutes later. The man seemed to have just returned from the office, seen from his tie that was no longer installed perfectly, and his sleeves were rolled up to the elbows.

Starla's feather bristles, that psychopath sounds so terrible.

"You'll only be safe if you're under my watch. And if you stay here, I can't always stand by taking care of you. Therefore, you must be in my house with strict guard."

Starla did not reply, she just let Skylar come out to take care of the hospital administration. While Starla thought hard to find a way to be free from Skylar and the crazy psychopath. Maybe the only way is for Alex. Yeah, that guy could help her.

Starla must figure out a way to talk privately with the young doctor. And he will expose all his problems. Before Skylar takes her away from this hospital, she needs to talk to him. Yeah, gotta!
