The Prisoner of the Devils'
Candle

After feeling enough, the man pulled away then stepped out without a word.

"Why do you hate me so much?"

The soft and raspy voice managed to stop his steps that almost reached the door. He then turned around after a few seconds of silence and again threw his glare at Starla.

"I think you know it" Skylar said as he approached the foot of the bed in a calm manner.

The woman returned to voice without looking at him. "Can't you forgive me?"

"Your apologies are not worth what you guys did to her." Skylar said in a high tone that made Starla look up to return her gaze.

"You never even heard my explanation. I .." Starla's words stopped for a moment when she saw Skylar approaching her with a darkened look on her face. The woman slightly shuffled back before continuing. "I can explain everything to you as long as you want to hear it."

"I don't need any explanation from you, ******! Shut the fuck up!" sergeant Skylar hard.

However, it doesn't work out Starla's stubbornness. The woman continued to still try to make her voice even though her mind was screaming that she was scared to death.

"A—I never meant to help Arlan to hide, Skylar. Really, I really don't know. Back then—"

Again his speech came to a halt as Skylar firmly gripped his arm. So strong that Starla could no longer continue her sentence.

"Don't I tell you that I don't need any explanation? Don't ever force me to hurt you worse."

Skylar pounced roughly on the small arm after finishing his sentence. He was about to turn around when Starla's cry came back.

"So .. will you still kill me?"

For a moment Skylar fell silent at the question. Staring at the dark beads filled with puddles of tears, Skylar could clearly see that there was a feeling of resignation mixed with fear in there.

"Of course!" say then. "Because your life means nothing to me. Wherever you die, I don't care!"

The man resumed after letting his breathing be a little calmer. "But, I can't possibly let you die that easily. Your pretty body is too beautiful to be a corpse that fast. I'll throw you away when my satisfaction with torturing you is achieved."

That cruel sentence managed to make Starla's body shaken. The tears escaped again with howls and sobs that sounded like the groans of wounded beings.

The figure of the tall man he had been staring at was increasingly blurry due to his tears that were incessantly pushing out.

"S—until when do you have to be like that, Skylar?" He let out his voice with great difficulty. Trying not to sound more depressing. "So deep in your hate? If so, help me dig into your heart and find that hateful feeling, then throw it away as far as possible. I'm sure .. I'm sure we can do it together."

The woman wiped her tears. His dark gaze still continued to point at Skylar's face.

"When are you going to take me down the hole of your dark life? You've been playing around too long in that place, Skylar. We can solve everything in a better way, just that you don't want to try it. You let that grudge burn your conscience."

For a moment, Starla paused her sentence. He no longer cared what the man would do after he said that. His heart was urgent, wanting to bring out all sorts of his baldness during this—although he knew that it would in no way affect Skylar's determination. The woman is tired. Really am! Tired of fighting against the hatred that the man often throws at him. Tired of living a bitter life that is always filled with endless pain and tears.

Can it?

Skylar's speechless. For a moment he felt his entire body paralyzed for a moment. He blinked softly with a look that did not at all turn away from Starla's puffy face and flood with tears of sadness. There was no meaningful expression on his tensed face line. I don't know what she felt like this time, no one really could explain her heart.

Is that man angry at all the words this woman is saying? Or do you feel calm and start accepting it? Or maybe there are other feelings? Really, he didn't know which answer was more appropriate.

His breath feels heavy. It felt like he could not linger looking at that grim face. Calmly, Skylar galloped out of the room without a sound, leaving a loud bang behind him along with sobs that sounded increasingly bitter inside there.

He rubbed his face for a moment, then chose to lean his body against the back wall right next to the door of the room he had just left. Letting her sense of hearing continue to receive and digest the woman's poignant sobs.

The shareholders stand. Mutually nod and throw a smile among the fellow members present at the important meeting. Skylar nodded lightly while smiling faintly as the investors took turns shaking hands with him. The smile of victory was clearly visible on his thin lips as he looked at Gavino who was standing there.

Skylar walked around the meeting table in his company after the large room was empty. The cynical smile never faded until he stood right in front of Gavino.

This is the plan, which is to humiliate the man who had dared to disturb his life even almost Starla was killed by the psychopath rent it. Skylar did choose not to kill him outright, as he had to take the man to today, the day the man saw his destruction.

"Mr Gavin, how is it? Are you happy?"

The sound was like a big rock hitting Gavino's back. He snorted violently, restraining emotions with his hands clenched tightly.

"Suck!"

Gavino really could not hold back the anger anymore, his hand raised about to hit Skylar's face when the man suddenly just stopped his movement. Skylar couldn't have let that happen. He chuckled cynically at Gavino who growled furiously.

"I warned you repeatedly." Skylar pressed his fingers on Gavino's arm. He looked at the man full of emotion. "Stop messing with my life. You're too ambitious. You've disturbed my peace too much, Gavin!"

"And what you did this last time made me really angry. How could you hire a killer to kill me and my wife" Skylar continued.

Gavino snorted violently while stomping his hand. He threw a glance at another object before looking back at Skylar's stern face.

"You'll regret it, Skylar!" For a moment, the man tried to resist the emotional turmoil before finally one corner of his lips lifted thinly. "Your wife is not my target, but the stupid killer himself. But I don't know why the woman suddenly crossed my head. What if this time I decided to tease her? Starla ... your beautiful wife."

Skylar pushed the body against the back wall. His hands clenched tightly clasped the collar of Gavino's shirt.

"I won't let it." Skylar growled furiously. "You'll really die on my hands if even the slightest bit of your skin touches it. Your death will make me worse than that stupid killer. It's not hard to clean up dirty garbage like you, Gavin."

He finished his sentence while pressing down on the body once more before leaving. Shortly after, two bodyguards entered shortly after Skylar exited the room. They looked at Gavino with threatening gazes.

"I'm going to go. You don't have to drag me out of here!" said Gavino then stepped limped to leave the empty room with a myriad of threats jokes for him.
