Honest commandments have listed the nature of the Quran and the hadith. One of them is in Al Ahzab verse 70,

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَقُولُوا۟ قَوْلًا سَدِيدًا

Arabic-Latin: Ayyyuhallaishi amanuttaqullaha wa qinawak qaulan sadida

It means: "O you who believe, fear Allah and speak the truth."

The importance of honest hadith is narrated by Abdullah, following his hadith,

إِنَّ الصِّدْقَ يَهْدِي إِلَى الْبِرِّ، وَإِنَّ الْبِرَّ يَهْدِي إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ، وَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَصْدُقُ حَتَّى يَكُونَ صِدِّيقًا، وَإِنَّ الْكَذِبَ يَهْدِي إِلَى الْفُجُورِ، وَإِنَّ الْفُجُورَ يَهْدِي إِلَى النَّارِ، وَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَكْذِبُ، حَتَّى يُكْتَبَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ كَذَّابًا

It means: "You must always be honest, for honesty leads to goodness, and kindness leads one to Heaven. And if a man is always honest and chooses to be honest, he will be recorded with God as an honest man." (Sukhari).
