There is a difference of opinion among the scholars, regarding the law of muwalah in ablution:

If the separation between the washing of members of ablution, only briefly, then ablution remains valid, based on the agreement (ijmak) of all scholars. Imam Nawawi rahimahullah said,
التفريق اليسير بين أعضاء الوضوء لا يضر بإجماع الأمَّة

Understanding ablution is washing certain parts of the body with the aim to eliminate small hadas. Or the definition of ablution is one way to purify the limbs with water.
