The sun had not yet reached the top when Gerald walked around Malfoy's house. The house has been full of people since last night. The unexpected murder case happened while everyone was partying in the Savier Field. However, news like this always gets the interest of many people. Some of those from Troas even left the festival celebrations just to confirm the truth of the incident.
Some knights were there too. Gerald approached one of the crowd, eavesdropping on their conversation.
"Who killed Mr. Malfoy. He's a good man shouldn't have enemies." One woman said, her face full of pity, still distrustful of everything that happened.
"It was so horrible, I saw the body ..t-too much blood. His whole family was slaughtered." Another woman responded.
The colleague next door looked on in horror. "So there's nothing left?"
The woman who claimed to see firsthand how the bodies lay, nodded in agreement. "The killer didn't even pity the little ones, all of Old Malfoy's foster children were also killed."
One of the crowd showed a surprised look. "The poor nory. He was abandoned by both his parents. I think after being cared for by Mr. Malfoy, his life will be better. Turns out he was killed."
Another woman suddenly shook her head, she was Luca's mother, Nory's neighbor. He was the first to reveal the case. "No-no. Nory wasn't among the bodies. All that die are just boys."
"really?"
Gerald who was standing not far from there at first just listened. The identity of Mr. Malfoy mentioned is still rather blurry. Until one of the women mentions Nory's name, Gerald remembers a memory piece he almost forgot.
"I know a lot about Nory. Give me a coin."
"Luca, that little boy once mentioned something about Nory and this guy named Malfoy...." Gerald murmured. Luca's words that day filled his mind.
"He's dirty .. he seduced Mr. Malfoy!"
"He slept with Mr. Malfoy!"
With these thoughts in mind, Gerald drew closer to the crowd. The women looked at him in wonder. Gerald grabbed his headgear and began to ask. "Are you sure Mr Malfoy has no enemies?"
There was a pause for a moment before someone among them started to answer.
"No, I'm sure Mr. Malfoy is a good man. He often shared food with us. Mr. Malfoy even took care of some children who no longer had parents."
Everyone there showed a look of approval. However, Gerald still harbored many doubts.
"You suspect someone?"
Some of them only shook their heads in response, while the other two answered hesitantly. "Could they be robbers who want to steal Mr Malfoy's treasure?"
Gerald suddenly remembered about Alaric. Some time ago the man had followed Nory and Malfoy. I don't know what the goal is, but Gerald immediately had a bad thought about this.
Is Alaric involved?
The words around cut off Gerald's daydream.
"really. It must be more than one person. They killed Mr. Malfoy and his family and then stole his property."
"Yes, what else are they looking for. They're coming to steal."
Gerald was a bit hesitant about that remark. However just as he was about to return inquiring, a voice from someone defending the crowd immediately severed his intentions.
"We've been combing through the entire victim's house, there's nothing missing."
It was Aron, he stared at Gerald for quite a while before turning to the women.
"Who among you found the body?"
Luca's mother raised her hand. "I."
Aron's calm face looked at him. "What you saw back then, explain how you found out there was this incident at the victim's house."
Luca's mother's face changed rapidly. "I-i. That night I did not go to Savier Field because my son, Luca, had a fever. I went out to find a cure. But everyone is not home. I didn't know who to ask for help with, and then as I passed by Mr. Malfoy's house. I saw their lights on and the door wasn't shut. S-when I entered .. a-I saw body pieces strewn everywhere. The floor is full of blood. "
This story they had already heard, but the women grimaced in horror upon hearing once more. Aron did not show any meaningful reaction, it seemed like he had heard it before. Aron casually went back to saying, "As you said, this murder is too brutal. The victim not only lost his life but his body was cut to pieces."
Aron paused his words before finally continuing. "What I want to say is that if the perpetrators just want to steal the victim's treasure, they don't have to bother themselves with cutting off the bodies. Shouldn't they just need to take the precious items and leave? They had no intention of stealing the treasure, this murder seemed premeditated. Revenge directed at the victim."
"But who holds a grudge against Mr Malfoy?"
Whispers were heard from the women. Aron ignored and asked again. "I heard this Mr. Malfoy taking care of a daughter. From our search results, there was no child among the victims. You know where he went?"
At this moment Aron looked at Gerald's face.
"No, until recently no one had seen Nory."
Aron had heard it, but no longer cared. His gaze was still on Gerald, he said, "You look foreign, but you seem to care about the case."
Gerald raised his head and looked back at Aron.
"This is an unusual case. Victims were brutally murdered. Anyone would be interested in coming to see. You just continue with your work. Don't have to care about passers-by like me."
Aron's face changed smoothly. However, he only let in when Gerald passed him.
...••••••...
At his residence, Tirian stood looking out the window, staring at the top of a tree that was already white. The snow finally came down.
"Sir..."
Only when someone came to face him did Tirian turn his eyes away.
"Hows it? is he conscious?"
The figure wearing white clothes looked down full of regret. "Although Mister. He's better, but he's not conscious yet."
Tirian closed his eyes for a moment. "You can go."
...••••••...
Tirian looked at the figure of the woman who was closed in bed. His mind wandered on the eve of the autumn festival.
Her index finger shifted the hairdresser blocking Camelia's face. He said,
"That night he looked so strong he even dared to challenge me. Gerald didn't give any exaggerated attacks, but why did he suddenly faint?"
Tirian then turned to Camelia's hand, grasping it carefully.
"It's cold."
When Tirian had just raised the blanket that covered the body, someone entered and knelt not far from him. Understand who came, Tirian had already spoken. "Have you sent Gerald a message? Has he come?"
The subordinate nodded, but then shook his head.
"Already Sir. But Young Master hasn't arrived yet."
Tirian took off his grip. "So who's coming?"
Before the subordinate replied, a woman had already walked through the door. Seeing that Tirian immediately got up and put on a smile.
"Queen Serafina .. sorry I didn't know you were coming. I didn't get to welcome."
Queen Serafina's steps seemed hasty, but her face was forced to calm down. He directly visited the bed where Camelia lay.
Tirian shifted as Queen Serafina wanted to grab Camelia's body.
This is not a fever, the queen is in love.
After confirming Camellia's body temperature, Queen Serafina turned to greet the host. The smile that formed on his flat face seemed to be slightly forced. "I should be the one to thank you for letting me know. You even want to take care of my niece."
Tirian returned that smile. "No need to be confused. I'm just being sincere."
Hearing this Queen Serafina was slightly stunned. He grasped another meaning of the speech, but was immediately pushed aside. There's still more important things.
"Why is it like this? Tirian, what happened to him?"
"He's following the fight..." Tirian began to explain. Given how Camelia ended the duel, Tirian had a question she immediately asked. "Queen, are you saying that your nephew can't use magic?"
The look on Queen Serafina's face turned agitated. "Has she been exposed to magic?"
No, instead he who attacks with magic, Tirian satin.
Seeing the reaction of Queen Serafina, Tirian inexplicably refused to explain what Camelia was going through.
Instead, he tried to calm the woman down. "In addition to her low body temperature, she's fine. The queen doesn't have to worry."
Queen Serafina did not answer just keep looking at her niece.
That long pause made Tirian take the initiative to ask. "Did he have a history of previous illness?"
Hearing this question Queen Serafina's expression changed rapidly. "Nothing." The Queen picked up her dress, she continued, "Tirian, thank you for treating her. I'll take him home now."
Just as Queen Serafina was about to step up, someone had already restrained her arm.
The Queen turned her head and looked at Tirian in confusion.
"What's wrong?"
Tirian took off his grip. "Let him stay here. My personal physician has prescribed the medicine. His body temperature was low, outside it was snowing. If the Queen insists on taking him home, with Elwood's trip to Troas, fearing that his condition will get worse."
Queen Serafina was suspicious of Tirian's actions. Since when did he care so much about others to this extent? However, no matter what the man said was true.
"All right." The queen reluctantly allowed it. "I have to keep going. There's another problem in Troas. I'll leave it to you."
Tirian pulled the corner of her lips. "Sure, I'll take care of him."
Queen Serafina was obviously very reluctant. It was evident from how he looked for a long time towards Camelia before finally deciding to leave.
Only when Queen Serafina left the place did Tirian's countenance change smoothly.
"Symptoms are the same as they used to be?" Tirian looked at Camelia. He had read the mind of Queen Serafina, but he was only confused by the vague thought.
"Who does Queen Serafina mean and what kind of symptoms?"
