Several people sat around the long oval table in the palace meeting room. A noble-looking woman sat at the very end. A golden tiara perched on her black hair, solidifying her position as a queen in Zoeearth.

The gathering has been going on since earlier, an impromptu meeting because the leader of the Agrios Clan — savage beast clan suddenly came with a tantrum as well as the presence of representatives of the amagine race who wanted to make a complaint. The atmosphere was no longer as fierce as before, Kenan the dreamer of the Agrios Clan had been pacified.

"How long has it been since Aldwin's abduction?"

The darkest-skinned man squeezed his fingers. The full face of anger was clear, he unconsciously shook his head in silence before finally looking at the questioner to answer. "I originally thought there was only one person, Your Majesty. However, after checking again there were three houses that had been empty for a long time. It is difficult to determine when and how long they have been lost. No one realized before because the average kidnapped woman is no longer married and the children have no parents."

"All from the amagine race?" Queen serafina asked again.

"Right be Your Majesty." This time a man in armor answered, while Aldwin responded with a nod.

"No trace of what you found?" It was still Queen Serafina who asked the question, but her gaze could not be separated from the man in armor, Ramos.

"The knights on guard only reported a foul scent at the scene. Everything seems fine. The scent was no longer even smelled after a distance of two meters. We suspect that's the reason this case didn't come out quickly."

Somehow everyone suddenly looked in one direction, the atmosphere instantly changing as the table buzz sounded.

"You're accusing the Agrios Clan of being the culprit?!" Kenan's extinguished emotions re-ignited. The man wearing the bear fur hat was very unacceptable. The Agrios clan was known to be violent and ruthless. But it's just instinct. They are half human beings with a conscience.

Queen Serafina improved her sitting position. He looked carefully as he said, "Well, we are not here to corner your clan. With no one exposed, anyone could be a suspect. I don't expect the accusations to be true. However, you should still check that your clan is completely innocent."

"Tck! You know not only the Agrios Clan is suspect, but as if chaos only comes from us, you guys don't even consider the existence of the creature!"

"What do you mean Kenan?"

Not only did Queen Serafina react, everyone in the room was now staring questioningly at Kenan.

Unexpectedly Kenan smirked. "Who do you think is here that can come and disappear as fast as the wind? Thousands of years ago, everyone hated Death Valley and the rest of it. So when there's a problem like this, isn't he worth suspecting. Why is he not present? Shouldn't he also testify?"

Only Queen Serafina could understand that sentence well while the others were still fumbling. When the queen thought of a single name, the moment she was struck by a thin wind came swiftly caressing the nape of everyone. When they realized, a black-robed figure had already appeared in the corner of the room. The hood that covers the head he lowered. His hands are relaxed. His back was leaning against the wall while his feet were kicking in the air.

"Reg." Unknowingly Queen Serafina muttered softly.

The black-robed man suddenly made a sound. "Ah ... My earlobe keeps swaying since then apparently someone is thinking of me." His glance suddenly turned to one person. "You miss me, Mr Bear?"

The grin on Kenan's face grew. "Vampire blood is long life."

In one blink of an eye, Ragash had already moved to an empty seat. Highlight his eyes were sharp as his gaze nearer met Kenan. But a moment later he chuckled.

"For a long time did not meet Queen Serafina. What did I miss?" Ragash was still with his casual smile, ignoring the serious faces of all those there.

"Ragash, is there something you want to explain?" Queen Serafina's voice sounded calm but the look in her eyes showed that she was holding something back.

The one asked was yawning. "About what, sleeping on my bed? Animal meat carcasses? The bland fruit? Ah all that is really bad. Look at my skin almost wrinkled. I'm up to —"

A crack of the table suddenly sounded from the direction of the other chair, Ragash stopped his speech.

"A toddler can understand that question, are you evasive?!"

The emotions that rose in the minds of Queen Serafina and Kenan suddenly receded. The two were fixated on seeing Aldwin's furious face, unexpectedly the leader of the amagine race had just raised his voice.

Ragash was also quite jolted, but a moment later the look on his face had changed. The pensive expression looked very contrived as he said,

"My consciousness isn't really good yet but you've been asking weird questions. Don't blame me if my answer bounces."

"You really don't know this?" Queen Serafina has confirmed.

Ragash had heard of the abduction in Saman Village as he headed to the kingdom. Even so, he did not know the real problem. So he was just indifferent to all those accusations.

"How can a sleeping person know outside?"

Kenan. "It's very good at tongue-licking! So that's what makes you proud to live so long?"

Ragash just smiled. "Then what are you? You want me to compliment your bear's fur? Very funny!"

Kenan's handbooks sticking out, before his emotions exploded, Queen Serafina had already broken up.

"There is no need to blame each other. Ramos, send some extra knights. We can't find an answer if the culprit hasn't been caught."

Ramos who had been holding his breath tried to neutralize his expression. Seeing the change in emotions from the people in front of him, it took quite a bit of effort to pull his clear mind to the surface. He almost spoke wrong. "Although Your Majesty, the existence of knights only makes the perpetrator even more cautious."

Aldwin, who had calmed down, said, "Right Your Majesty. The guard knights scattered all over Troas should have handled this matter enough."

"In other words .... " Kenan quickly interjected. "He was very good at reading the situation, he was not very careful until it was not detected by the guards. He can't be underestimated."

The words made Aldwin nod. Everyone has the same thoughts. Just Ragash, the black-robed man was like he wasn't really listening to the conversation. His head just moved to follow who was talking.

"Does this town need a garrison?" Aldwin looked cautious as he said but the remark had already made the expressions of some people change. Even Ragash was sculpting for a moment, the man suddenly focused his mind. He's innate, Oh so really this serious?

"I have a candidate from the Agrios Clan if necessary."

Queen Serafina did not shake her head or nod towards Kenan's offer. He's still thinking.

"The royal garrison hasn't moved in a long time." Queen Serafina finally made a sound after a few seconds. "I hope we don't have to deploy a large garrison to solve this problem." He paused his speech, his gaze glared while the look in the eyes showed uneasiness. "I don't know how big the matter is, since we have to move in silence, I think someone would be a good fit to deal with this matter. He was not an experienced garrison, nor was he the strongest. However, he has a strong determination to complete all his tasks. I don't think he's a bad choice."

Ramos as a guard knight commander who can also double as a garrison at any time, trying to guess who the queen means from the umpteenth of its members. Long enough he thought until he finally stopped at one name. Ramos then turned to look at the queen, the smile on the face of the noble figure inexplicably added to Ramos' confidence.

That girl?

...🪄🪄🪄...

"A little more, a little more."

A two-year-old woman was perched on a tree branch. Next to his hand was hugging the trunk while the other free hand was grabbing into the air. This tree has small twigs, it should be easy if pulled from the bottom. However, the figure who is eyeing this small-red fruit should give a little effort because the tree only provides fruit at the top shoots.

"Can!" I don't know what this brunette-haired woman of my neighbor thinks, as if reaching for the fruit is the noblest of ideals, after getting it he even forgot that the handle was off the branch and of course without having to wait for the approval of the body it will immediately slump down.

Resignedly. The last thing he did was just close his eyes. There was no cry of fear nor of worry. The hand even put some fruit in the mouth. Then when he felt his body slow down and even floated, his legs were relaxed.

"I still wonder why an amagine likes self-harm? Are they too desperate to end their lives?"

"To be amagine is lucky Aron. Especially surrounded by magical creatures like you."

The man named Aron walked over. He raised his eyebrows but did not speak.

"View ... I didn't have to bother worrying myself when I fell from the tree, not only did I scream, help was coming."

"Stupid." That calm intonation was followed by a finger tapping slowly on the other party's head. The hand also had time to shift the position of a leaf that perched there. "Don't underestimate your safety, I'm not necessarily going to continue to have every time you're in trouble."

Instead of thanking, the woman being lectured giggled. His elbow even presumptuously landed on the man's stomach. The unprepared Aron could only glare in protest.

"Camel!" reflexes surprised.

"Ahahaha sorry, sorry. You're like Uncle Aldwin, seriously. I am a special amagine after all. You're forgot? I can take care of myself." This time it was Camelia's palm that greeted Aron's back. Not being teased. It was just a shoulder pat to reassure the listener.

"You're not coming back? A knight seems to be looking for you."

"I don't actually want to. Is the meeting over?"

Aron nodded. "You're the only female knight of the amagine race. Are you sure you still want to be a garrison?"

Guard knights have been around since Zoeearth's dark days. Although it has been left behind for a long time, the chaos that was created caused the security system that was implemented did not fade until now. The garrison was still formed. They were the chosen knights who would later get special assignments. Camelia had already lived half her life as a guard knight, so she wanted more experience than that.

"My mom didn't forbid me why are you worried?"

Aron breathed a fine breath.

"Your job hasn't been enough?"

After letting a squirrel up her arm, Camelia turned to answer. "Just be a knight?" It clucked. "You know my last assignment in Albama? We're just solving a robbery! What's so stressful about that?"

"Isn't that enough?" Aron looked at Camelia with furrowed brows. "You just want your life to be useful, don't you?"

The caress at the top of the squirrel's head was pressed a little harder, Camelia snorted. "Jeez Aron! You don't get it. Do you know who the robbers are? They were only children under twelve years old! What can we do? The punishment of whipping was not allowed for them. We just got an apology and it's all done."

"But Camelia...." Aron turns to hold the shoulder of the woman in front of him making the squirrel who was playing with the hems of Camelia clothes go away. "You're an amagine, "press Aron again. Next his gaze became heavy, the rest of his words stuck in the throat.

Hearing that the smile on Camelia's face faded away. "You're always like this." He dodged, breaking the handle also away from Aron's gaze. "I don't like to be underestimated."

"I don't mean—"

"I was born like this Aron. You think it's easy for me to accept all this?I'm obviously a descendant of witches and even my aunt is a wizard, but why am I any different? I'm Aron's cripple! I'm even inferior to an ordinary animal!"

"Camel—"

"Amagines are born without magic. They cannot control gold because blood binds them like that. I'm different Aron I just borrowed their race name, I'm not an amagine. I also do not deserve the title of witch. Then who am I?"

Camelia clenched her hands revealing her knuckles. This conversation somehow ignited emotions. However, he had not ventured any further, a voice from the side seized his attention.

There's a bone fracture.

Aron catches the change and immediately follows when he sees Camelia move. "What's wrong?" whispered.

Camelia did not reply just sticking an index finger to her lips. There was a thicket in front, so it was busy showing a black-robed figure crouching on the ground entering in his field of view.

Both Camelia and Aron could clearly see what activity the cloaked figure was doing there.

Camelia smirked, "Isn't vampire hearing very sensitive? They become very stupid while eating."

The intonation was full of emphasis. Aron remained silent as he watched Camelia take out her bow and arrow. Just as the arrow was about to be thrown, she heard Camelia yell, "how dare you eat my cup!"

The figure there heard clearly. However, he had not had time to react, the squirrel hanging in his hand disappeared along with the rapidly darting arrow. Seeing how his dessert ended up sticking to the tree, he wiped the corner of his lips and said in a low voice. "Who's interrupting my mealtime."

"Does a creature of the night like you still have a face hanging around here? "Camelia walked over, she sneered at the sight of some animal carcasses strewn across the ground. He even cursed when he saw there were fruits that were not eaten well. He cursed. "Disease!"

Ragash is the only creature of the night that survives today. It was created from the black sea, Death Valley. Like the blood-sucking black sea, Ragash also rises as a blood-consuming creature. Everyone called him a vampire. During this time he was under the supervision of Queen Serafina. Ragash is left wandering as long as it does not consume human blood. However, seeing how she ate, Camelia felt this deed was equally despicable.

"Old Brother, just go home to the black sea!"

Ragash was very angry, but seeing who these two people were he just closed his eyes and smiled. "Oh you're a Naughty Boy?" He grinned, "For a long time no see."
