The Holy Promise of Marriage

The Holy Promise of Marriage
Chapters. 9. Ruby Defense.

Ruby who had just arrived home screamed in shock upon hearing what Laura said, making both Mona and Laura shocked when she heard her voice.

"Ru-Ruby's? You're home yet?"

Ruby looked at Laura sharply. He then stepped quickly to enter the house and stood right in front of the woman.

"What's up, Ruby? Why are you staring at you like this?" laura asked gently with a smile that made Ruby want to vomit.

"What did you say, huh? Try to repeat once again," said Ruby with emphasis to make Mona glare and immediately pull the hand of her daughter.

"Ruby, what are you doing?" Mona continues to pull Ruby's hand away from the place, she does not want her child to disturb Laura and later causes a fight.

"Let go of my hand, Mom!" Ruby threw Mona's hand violently and turned around to talk to Laura again, but her hand was blocked by her mother.

"Don't interfere, Ruby. Or you'll see Mom's anger!"

Ruby was astonished by what her mother said. He understood now, it turned out that there was something that was currently being planned by his mother and the woman.

Mona tries to control her anger. "Go to your room, Ruby. You're not-"

"Didn't Mom feel like it was really too much?"

Ruby looked at her mother in disbelief. She knew that the mother did not like her sister-in-law, aka Hyuna, because she did not have children. But that doesn't mean his mother can do something like this. What was the mistake Hyuna had done until they had hurt her?

"I told you not to interfere, Ruby. You're still a kid and don't understand all this, now get into your room!" mona's snapping made Ruby immediately turn around and leave the place.

Mona stared sharply at the departure of her youngest daughter, she then approached Laura who was still watching from the living room.

Brakes.

Ruby slammed the door of her room in annoyance. From the beginning he had been suspicious of the closeness between his mother and the woman named Laura, and it turned out that there was a veiled intent behind it all.

"Fuck what they want to do. I'm sure Aksa loves Hyuna very much, and won't be tempted by her."

Ruby then decided to take a bath so that the emotions that were controlling her heart were gone, she was really furious to see the mother and also the woman.

After escorting Hyuna to the room and seeing the woman sleeping, Aksa immediately came out of the room and passed away to meet someone.

Just as Aksa was leaving, Hyuna opened her eyes again as soon as she heard the sound of the door opening. He felt astonished because the man immediately left while he was sleeping, and what would Aksa do to not tell him?

"Is Mas Aksa any important work? But today he's on leave."

Hyuna felt confused herself, she then took her phone and immediately called Aksa's number. However, the man's number is inactive.

"Has the phone broken, because of that?"

Hyuna recalled that Aksa's phone had fallen while she was preying on her, then suddenly she also remembered about the man's words that she had accidentally heard while going to the kitchen.

"Did she want to see Laura?"

Somehow Hyuna's heart became uncomfortable, but she didn't know who to ask.

"Here you go, maybe soon Mas Aksa will come home. I better rest to recover quickly."

Hyuna then decided to take a break because her head really felt dizzy, and it didn't take long for her to enter the dreamland.

The sound of a faint adhan heard in Hyuna's ears made both her eyes blink. He stretched his body and sat on the bed.

"Huh, my body feels lighter."

Hyuna was already feeling better after the break, she then glanced towards the clock on the wall and thought that it was maghrib now.

"Astaghfirullah, it's 8 and a half?"

Hyuna jumped in shock when she saw that day had changed with night, and it turned out that the Adhan was for isya' instead of maghrib.

"Oh my God, I slept for a long time."

He got out of bed and went into the bathroom. After finishing cleaning up, Hyuna immediately did her duty as a Muslim.

After she finished, Hyuna rushed out of the room and looked for the whereabouts of the husband. She had shouted to her husband but had not heard or seen the man.

"Hasn't he gone home yet?"

It has been almost 6 hours, but there are no signs of Aksa's whereabouts which means he has not returned home. He called the man again, but his number was still inactive.

Not wanting to be too thoughtful, Hyuna then went to the kitchen to prepare dinner. It could be that her husband is coming home soon, but there is no food to eat in the house.

A little while later, Hyuna had finished making omlete and also chicken soup that had been served on the table. She then walked to the television room to wait for her husband's return.

At exactly 10 p.m., Aksa had just returned home. He walked slowly towards the room unconsciously if Hyuna was sitting on the sofa that was in front of the television.

"Just come home, Mom?"

Aksa gasped in shock when she heard Hyuna's voice, she suddenly turned to look back where the woman was.

"D-God? You, you haven't slept?" ask him with a stammer.

Hyuna shook her head. "I'm waiting for you, Mas. Where have you been, why is your phone number off?"

Aksa swallowed her saliva upon hearing the question from Hyuna. "M-Mas, I just met a workmate. After that stop by mom's house, that's why I'm home until this hour."

Hyuna fell silent while looking at Aksa sharply making the man smile thinly. She let out a rough sigh and tried to believe what her husband said.

"Yes already. Let's eat, Mum! I'll warm the soup."
