The Holy Promise of Marriage

Chapters. 8. First Lie.

Time passed very quickly, it did not feel like several months had passed since Hyuna and Aksa's anniversary.

Every day Hyuna is busy with many orders, and restaurant visitors are increasing.

His busyness makes Hyuna often feel tired and sick, until Aksa is angry and asks her to leave the restaurant.

"I'm fine, Mas. I don't need to worry" said Hyuna, who is currently lying on the bed.

Aksa was silent with a sharp look. "alright. It's up to you to do what, Hyuna. I'm tired of talking to you repeatedly." He got out of bed and walked out of the room.

Hyuna sighed harshly when she saw Aksa's departure. For some reason lately his body feels weak and easily tired, not as usual who remain strong despite work from morning to night.

"Maybe because I'm old, that's why I'm tired."

Hyuna laughed to herself with what she said. Then he tried to get out of bed because he wanted to prepare dinner for Aksa.

Hyuna slowly walked down the stairs to the kitchen. His hands hold on to the iron barrier, so that it can support his body that still feels weak and not powered.

"I have to take care of Hyuna, Ra. He's sick."

Hyuna's steps stopped when she heard Aksa's voice, the man was standing in front of the refrigerator while calling someone.

Hyuna then stepped back on her feet to enter the kitchen while still hearing what Aksa said. The man's curse is on his back, which is why Aksa does not know of his coming.

"Tomorrow I'll pick you up, Laura. You just wait at home."

Deg.

Hyuna instantly fell silent when she heard Aksa mention someone's name. Yeah, it's been a while since Aksa said she worked with the company where the man worked.

Every time Hyuna asked, Aksa would not answer her and said that she rarely met Laura. But what is he hearing this? Why did Aksa say she wanted to pick up Laura?

"Yes, that's it"

"Mas!"

Aksa gasped in surprise when she heard Hyuna's voice. Suddenly his cellphone immediately fell to the floor because of his surprise.

"D-God? Wh-why did you go downstairs?"

Aksa immediately crouched down to grab her already broken phone, and put it in her pants pocket.

"Who's the phone with you?" hyuna asked with a probing gaze, making Aksa's face pias straight away.

"That's it, Mas, Mas's on the phone with Mr. Tomi. Mas Boss."

Hyuna immediately frowned when she heard what Aksa said. Obviously she heard that her husband mentioned Laura's name, but why did Aksa lie? Or did he hear wrong?

"But why are you down, Dek?"

Hyuna's daydream came to a halt as Aksa suddenly embraced her body, and carried her sitting on the dining chair.

"I-I want to cook for you, Mas," Hyuna replied softly and tried to smile.

Aksa went to the closet to pick up the food he had bought, and then served it on the table.

"Purchase your favorite chicken porridge, let's take a bribe, yeah,"

"No need, Mom. I can-" Hyuna could not continue her words when Aksa had already thrust food in front of her mouth, and inevitably she was forced to eat that food.

Aksa smiled warmly and continued to feed Hyuna, making the woman smile in knots.

"Have I been wrong?"

A moment later, the porridge was gone without making Hyuna's stomach feel very full.

"Wait here for a second, Mas'll take the medicine to the room,"

"Mas!"

Aksa who was about to get up was forced to undo his intentions when Hyuna's hand held her arm. He looked at the woman with a confused look.

"Did I still communicate with Laura?"

Deg.

Aksa instantly kept silent upon hearing Hyuna's question, while Hyuna herself looked at the man with a glare. She thought if she had to ask Laura's matter directly with Aksa, and what was the suspicion for.

"Y-yes, sometimes we still communicate with each other."

Aksa commented a thin smile. He then placed Hyuna's hand holding her arm onto the table, and passed away going towards the room.

Hyuna continued to look towards Aksa who had already climbed the stairs, for some reason there was a hint of suspicion from the man's answer. However, he tried to believe it and brushed it all off.

Moments later, Aksa returns with the medicine for Hyuna. He helps his wife drink it, then leads Hyuna back to the room to rest.

Meanwhile, in another place, a woman was seen pacing back and forth in the living room of her home. There was another woman sitting on the sofa, staring at her.

"Sit, Laura. Why are you pacing around like that?"

Laura glanced at the middle-aged woman in annoyance. "Of course I'm pacing around worried, Auntie. Suddenly Aksa's call was interrupted when I heard a loud bang, lest something happen to her? I have to get there." He snatched the keys of the car on the table and was about to come to meet Aksa.

"Wait, Laura. You have to hold back." Mona blocks Laura's hand making the woman's steps stop. "You can't see Aksa now."

"Why, Auntie? Can't I see my own future husband?"

"What?"
