The Holy Promise of Marriage

The Holy Promise of Marriage
Chapters. 2. Quit From Work.

"Mother!"

Aksa rubbed her face violently. I don't know what else he's going to have to talk to his mother to understand the current situation. Of course, the child is God's business. While they, can only try.

Hyuna who heard the noise of the commotion naturally woke up from her sleep. He went out of the room to see what was happening, and he heard all the words that the in-laws were saying.

Aksa who was going back into the room was shocked when she saw Hyuna's presence at the end of the stairs. "D-God? Are you awake?"

Hyuna smiled towards Aksa who was walking towards her, while Mona who saw her immediately turned her face away.

"Why are you awake? Just sleep again" said Aksa while leaning her body against the wall.

"Whisper that, who can sleep, Mas." Hyuna went down the stairs, making Aksa follow her again.

Hyuna was not indifferent or unapologetic about what her in-laws said. It's just that he's immune to such speech, because every time the mertunya always discuss about children and children is endless. Who the hell is a woman who doesn't want to have children?

Mona glanced at Hyuna cynically. "Wake up too, you?"

Hyuna smiled sweetly and sat down before the in-laws. "Yes, Mother. Can I help you?" He crossed one of his legs over the other like a boss.

"What kind of wife are you, who just woke up at this hour?" said Mona with a ketus and also spicy.

"Mom!" Aksa again admonished his mother not to look for a commotion. It was eager for him to chase away the middle-aged woman right now, but it would be considered as a sham and cursed to stone.

"Wife tired of working all day, Mother."

"Whoa. That's always what you make excuses for your laziness, you don't know yourself!"

Hyuna clenched her hands tightly. She was not a weak woman who could always be oppressed, but if her opponent was the in-law. He also could not fight it hard.

"I don't want to know, Hyuna. Quit your job or divorce from Aksa."

"What?"

Both Aksa and Hyuna were surprised by what Mona said. "What did you say, anyway?" Aksa looked at her mother sharply.

"Mother, what did you say? I speak for your own good, Aksa. What do you want to be if you don't have any offspring, huh?"

"It's still 4 years, ma'am. Not 10 years or 20 years. We still have plenty of time to"

"Shut up!" Mona pointed towards Hyuna making her speech forced to stop. "Just quit your job and stay at home, just focus on the pregnancy program. Do you understand?"

Hyuna gave a rough sigh with full annoyance. It has been years that he became a chef, time should just stop?

"According to Mas what mom said was true, Deck."

Hyuna immediately looked at Aksa sharply. "What do you mean, Mom? You told me to quit my job too, huh?" He really doesn't believe.

"It's not so, honey. I'm just sorry to see you're too tired, your body needs rest. So, you better stay home."

"But I'm okay, Mom. I can-"

"Look, this stubborn woman does not want to hear anyone. Don't listen to me, listen to you, she won't, Aksa. What else would a woman like her have you defend."

"Hyuna, wait-"

"Where are you, Aksa. I'm not done talking."

Aksa who had turned around and was about to follow Hyuna was forced to hold back her steps, she then turned her head back towards her mother. "Enough, Mom. Mother has gone too far. Better get home right now, before the commotion gets bigger."

"You're expelling mom?" Mona looked at her son with a glare. He did not expect that his own son would throw him out.

"It's not like that, Mom."

Aksa grabbed her hair in frustration. He felt so wrong. She knew that otherwise her mother should have said that to Hyuna, but the woman was also too stubborn.

"Mother didn't think that her only mother's son would throw out his own mother." Mona begins the drama and sobs.

Aksa approached her mother and hugged her. "I'm sorry, Mom. I didn't mean to kick Mom out, I just got carried away with my emotions."

Mona nodded her head. "Mom knows that mother's child is not like that. But, can you just obey what Mom said?" He looked at Aksa with teary eyes.

Aksa fell silent again with an upset breath. "alright. I'll talk to Hyuna."

Mona nodded happily with her crescent moon-like curved lips. Then he went back to his house after doing what he wanted.

After seeing her mother leave, Aksa moved to go back to meet Hyuna who was in the room.

"Dad!" call Aksa while stepping inside the room.

Hyuna who was on the bed shook her head and ignored the arrival of her husband.

"Sir, understand our worries. I'm also very worried about you, so he's like that. There's no harm in that, right, if you quit your job?"

Hyuna remained silent while drowning her head in the pillow, of course her heart ached with what they said.

"Dec, speak." Aksa shook Hyuna's body until she finally sat down.

"I want to have children too, Mom. Is this my fault, if I have no children? Why do you always say I'm barren?" Hyuna's tears came out as well, whereas since then she tried to survive.

Aksa hugged Hyuna's body tightly. "That's why just follow what mom says, Dek. Maybe with rest will be good for your health, so the chances of having children are getting bigger. Didn't the doctor tell you to get plenty of rest?"

Hyuna fell silent. What Aksa said is true, but not willing to feel if you have to get out of a job that has been many years in life.

"I beg you, hem?"

Hyuna gave a rough breath. "Alright, Mas. I'll resign."
