The Heavenly Road: God Hunters
Chapter 021 Exam Results (revision)

Returning to the Valley of Hell, Asta stayed with his teacher to continue his training after Ace's departure. His teacher gave him an additional recipe to increase the effectiveness of Asta exercises.

"Akkhhhhh...!!!!" The loud cries of the young man in training spread out into the valley. The animals that heard the screams only occasionally looked towards the valley before resuming their usual activities.

"Teacher! If this is the way, it's the same way you intend to kill me! Akkhhhhh...!!!" Shouts Asta in pain.

Flares giggled as he continued to whip Asta violently. The Raga Forging Cream that Flares rubbed on Asta's back stimulated the surrounding heat energy absorbing into his body.

"Be quiet, don't you want to immediately break through the master realm as soon as possible" Flares said as he continued to whip.

Now move on to where Kenshin and his group are. They left the True Fire Flame Sect to gain life experience and help the small folk in the Huo Province of the Holy Land of Fire.

Kenshin accepts the test after handing Asta the Ocean Jade Ring. Together with the other group, he left the newly established True Fire Flame Sect. The sect party gave a dangerous task to track down the thieves of their allegedly lost Black God Heavenly Book and to gain experience of living in the outside world.

For weeks they've been going around from village to city looking for information and solving problems with unsettling enemies.

"Ken, what is the situation in the fort now? Did the Patriarch of the Sect and the others manage to push them back or vice versa?" tanya Kesha is provoking discussion.

"Either. Warfare on a large scale and a far different amount of power comparisons would be difficult to predict. We only have 7 Great Patriarch Sects and Senior Haru and Eni, while the enemy side has 7 Skull Mountain Generals and 8 high-ranking combined middle-tier sects of Gitou Land and Cursed Valley Country," kenshin was clear about the leader of the troops on both sides.

"It seems like we should be preparing for battle in the near future," Kesha nodded in understanding.

"If nothing like this happens, we should only face the test of a week of life experience. But now it has been almost a month without any definite information like this. If there is no problem, maybe we are training for the tournament preparation" Kesha complained about their current situation.

"Despite the absence of war, were you not informed of our true test?" shiro asked, his face frowning.

"Ehh...?!! Is that true, Moe...?" Kesha asked, a little confused at the thought of what the exam meant.

"Eum... My mom and dad told me about the test. But even if we finish all this, still we will go there to practice," replied Moegi, agreeing with what Shiro said.

"My mother and father said the same thing at that time about this test. After all we are still just common disciples, and our present achievements are all thanks to our parents. This exam will determine our qualities as cultivators" said Zaraki, who usually likes to joke around, but somehow this time his words sounded serious like a teenager.

It did not feel like time had gone by day, and the heat of the sun was stinging to make their spirits decline to continue the journey.

"We took a short break here, to eat and gather stamina" Kenshin said, seeing his colleagues exhausted, and he decided to stop.

Hearing that, Zaraki immediately threw himself on the grass, "Finally able to rest as well, haahh.." Zaraki breathed a sigh of relief.

Not only him, others also joined to relax and drink water to relieve thirst. After sitting for a moment, Kenshin stood back up to clean his clothes.

"Because we've run out of meat stock, we're going to split the task: who's hunting and who's collecting firewood. While the task of preparing the dishes and looking for vegetables, I entrust you both," Kenshin said, pointing at Moegi and Kesha, and both nodded in understanding.

"Let me go for firewood, and you two go hunting," Zaraki pointedly asked.

"alright. Then Shiro and I will go hunting" Kenshin agreed, and they began to do their respective duties.

After half an hour had passed, they regrouped at their original place. Kesha and Moegi were already waiting in front of the fire furnace that had not yet lit up. Zaraki then gave Kesha the firewood he had found, and Kenshin and Shiro began skinning their quarry, deer and rabbits, to cook immediately.

Rena Timber's ability to cook apparently also passed on to her daughter, Kesha. Zaraki is very satisfied when eating Kesha cuisine that tastes amazing even though it only relies on simple ingredients.

After being full and full of energy, they cleaned and stored the meat and waste materials in Kenshin's storage ring, because only he had the ring.

"Shiro, please take a look at the map and make sure our current location," Kenshin pinta on the way.

"We're not far from the city of Vorheis. If there are no obstacles on the way, it is expected to take about 3-4 hours to get there," Shiro said describing their location at the time.

Moegi suddenly turned his face towards Zaraki, and he looked a little confused as to why Moegi was looking at him with a sharp look.

"Our supplies are exhausted, there is little left of meat, vegetables, and cooking ingredients before. We better buy supplies and spend the night there. Before that, wear a mask to disguise our identity" Kenshin explained.

They also wore masks that previously hung on their waists skillfully. When Kenshin saw Zaraki still carrying his axe, he frowned.

"Zaraki, keep your ax in the ring. We don't want to attract people's attention" Kenshin said.

Embarrassedly, Zaraki left his axe back to be stored in the ring, just like the other weapons.

"In that way, we won't get too interested in the people around us. Come on, quicken our steps. We have to get to the city before it gets dark" Kenshin said.

It had been an hour since they had put on the mask, and under the mask, Zaraki had actually started to get sleepy, even though the day was still bright.

"Hoam... Is it possible that we will meet Asta in Vorheis City later?" he said as long as he spoke after yawning. Kenshin coughed at his words.

Although Moegi realized that Zaraki's intention was to mock him, he seemed indifferent and remained calm. On the other hand, Kesha and Shiro looked at him sharply behind his mask.

"Oh, come. What's wrong with me talking like that? Don't you want to meet him too? Well, that's even if he was there. But it depends whether he wants to see us again or not, let alone there. ah, that's it," Zaraki continued his chat.

Without saying much, Moegi then made a fireball with a spirit in his palm. Without a second thought, he turned towards Zaraki and aimed the fireball at him.

"Dumbkk!!" Umpatnya.

Kenshin then paused for a moment and patted his mask-covered eel, "I've guessed he must be provoking Moegi's emotions," he murmured complaining of Zaraki's behavior that often delayed the trip.

Zaraki laughed in satisfaction after successfully angering Moegi, and he rushed away from Moegi's rampage. But Moegi did not give up and chased after him.

"Once in a while it seems like Zaraki needs a lesson. Shiro, you go after Zaraki! Kesha and I will stop him!" tell Kenshin to run after them.

"certain. After all, it has been a long time since I wanted to teach him a lesson so that he would not repeat it again" Shiro replied agreeing to pursue Zaraki.

---

"Take me off! Hurry along! Are you guys conspiring with that jerk now?! Kesha, let go of me..!!!" Shouted Moegi furiously as Kenshin and Kesha suddenly came and stopped his movements.

Kesha simply raised her index finger in front of her mouth, gesturing for Moegi not to be noisy.

On the other hand, Zaraki surrenders himself to Shiro after Moegi is captured by Kenshin and Kesha. He even laughed satisfied to see Moegi who could not escape. At that time, he only thought that they were separating between Moegi and himself so as not to fight anymore, without realizing that they were actually planning to teach him a lesson on his words.

"Stay that way, otherwise the lion will surely run amok and I will be eaten later. Ahahaha...!!!" Shouts excitement.

Hearing the taunts, Moegi got up and down. His face was instantly flushed red, and his neck veins were clearer.

"Shiro! You hold him tight, don't let him get away!" kenshin. Moegi, who was initially emotional for Zaraki, immediately smiled triumphantly.

Zaraki's eyes immediately rounded perfectly, he panicked to hear it. But before he could rebel, Shiro had already bent him firmly.

"Hey, Shiro. We are friends, right? If so, let me go. Anyway, I promise I'm not going anywhere. I just didn't fight back when you were about to arrest me" asked Zaraki.

"Having come." Shiro muttered looking at Moegi who was walking while lashing out his hand.

Zaraki broke out in cold sweat and swallowed his own saliva, as Moegi was getting closer to him now.

"No, Shiro! Please let me go right now, or else I'll never admit you as a friend. Hurry along! Let go of me now, Shiro! You're my friend!" zaraki shouted frantically thrashing, and now replaced Moegi who kept laughing satisfied.

---

The three of them laughed in satisfaction throughout the journey after successfully teaching him a lesson on his words. Every time they saw it, they immediately remembered the incident some time before and they laughed.

"Basic cruel! Aren't you guys thinking about this handsome boy's feelings?" said annoyed.

The three of them laughed again at this. Finally, Zaraki was silent, because what he said would definitely make them laugh with satisfaction, and it was annoying to him.

Finally they arrived before the city gates just as it was getting to dusk. There were already many merchants and others were preparing to wait their turn to enter the city. Their Jade Markers were inspected one by one, and they paid a certain amount of tax to be able to enter the city. The five, they then marched and queued to enter the city.

"Oi, Kenshin. It seems that the battle at the temporary fortress had little effect on their survival, huh?" kesha said, asking.

Just as Kenshin was about to speak, a middle-aged man turned around and replied to his words, "You guys seem to be very young, so it's only natural that you have questions like this. However, son, actually we as traders feel fear, but we have no choice but to keep trading to make a living and move on. After all, the war only happened at the border of Huo Province, not here," he explained.

Kesha nodded in understanding now, her question was answered, but she was a little embarrassed to ask in a public place.

"And if you still have a question why don't we help on the battlefield, you young people who are looking for experience should understand that not all humans are born well and have the opportunity to become cultivators" he continued.

"Yes, indeed. For those who are not cultivators, it will only increase the burden on the battlefield" Zaraki exclaimed, as he spoke.

"Zaraki!" tegur Kenshin's.

"It's okay, it's okay. That's the truth anyway. You do not need to be too polite, it is precisely we who must be very grateful to you who have taken great pains to protect us who are weak. It seems that now it's uncle's turn, uncle first yes," he said with a friendly smile.

"Basic has no brain. Think about what you want to talk about, you idiot!" tegur Kesha was furious to hear it. Zaraki chuckled and then ran to apologize to the uncle.

"What's wrong. But, can uncle know what your name is?" asked the uncle, curious. Zaraki then introduced himself and the others.

"After this, do you have time to just visit my shop for a minute?" bring the uncle.

"For that, I should discuss it with our group leader first. If he agreed, we would definitely pay a visit to the uncle's shop. We are running out of supplies anyway and intend to spend the night here" Zaraki said.

"What a coincidence. My store also sells a variety of needs and supplies, including information and more. Uncle will give a discount price of half the price for anything you need later. Just ask people my name, they'll definitely show me the way to the store I'm in" the uncle said.

"What's your name, uncle?" ask Zaraki.

"My name is Row Riqu, remember that. Now that uncle left first, it didn't feel good to make the others wait a long time" he said with an awkward smile.

"Ah, if it were you, waiting no matter how long there would be no protesting" said one of the other traders with a friendly smile at him, it was as if Row Riqu was a figure that was so respected by them.

After that, it was their turn to be checked for his identity first.

"She seems to like you. What a lucky young man," said one of the guards, who smiled at them, though because of the masks they wore, the guards could not see the smiles of the five.

"Who is that uncle?" ask Kenshin who happens to not know because Zaraki has not had time to talk about it.

"Haha... Young people today really like to joke," said the guard then they laughed.

"Then, can you show each of you a Jade Marker?" her door.

After Kenshin gave his five Jade Markers and his friend, the guards were slightly jolted in surprise.

"Ahh, so yes. Although you have a good identity, but you have a good nature. He likes all five of you. Now you may enter," said one of the guards, then return their Jade Marker.

---

After entering the city, Zaraki also informed the invitation from Row Riqu earlier. Kenshin allowed it and let him go to the uncle's shop and buy supplies.

"I didn't think he was going to be so curious about someone he just met" Shiro said, looking at Zaraki who was asking one of the people on the street. At first glance, he looked back at his friends standing up, but because of his mask, they did not know there was a smile on his lips.

"In that case, I entrust the lodging matter to both of you" Kenshin said to Kesha and Shiro.

"Ehh..?!! Are you serious..?!!" Kesha asked in disbelief. But Kenshin just nodded his head.

"What are you thinking of telling the two of us to book an inn?!" Kesha asked again, but Kenshin simply raised his hand as he sauntered away.

"Just say that you want to book a room for 5 people" he said and then went to pull Moegi in the other direction.

Kesha just puffed her cheeks and invited Shiro to find the inn where they stayed for the night.

Kenshin takes Moegi to the streets of a quiet city hallway, then he tells them about their true test.

"Moegi, to be honest we are not gathering information regarding the traces of the Heavenly Book thief, but rather..."

"What do you mean we were just told to walk around all this time aimlessly?! That's right!" Cut surprised.

"I'm not done talking, listen to me first. Our true mission is to track down the existence of the Heavenly Art thief," Kenshin explained.

Moegi furrowed his forehead in wonder, if indeed their real task was to trace the whereabouts of a single Heavenly Art thief of the sect should be just as dangerous, then why should they lie to him.

"What level is the stolen Heavenly Art?" Ask Moegi curiously. He was no longer emotional because at first he thought the purpose of this mission was only to walk without a definite purpose.

"Gold Legend Level, only 3 ranks below it," said someone surprising the two of them, none other than the Elder of the Heavenly Road Training Hall Hall, Taki Garaki.

"Senior?! Why are you here?!" They both said surprised.

Taki's small laugh managed to make the two of them surprised. At first, he thought of what Kenshin wanted to do by taking Moegi to a deserted place, but apparently to tell him that.

"The war ended this afternoon. Then after that Senior Helio told me to look for you guys, lucky I met you guys here" he explained.

"the results?" Ask them enthusiastically.

Taki sighed for a moment, making them a little afraid of the answer, "the result, we won," he said, then smiled, they shouted in excitement at the news.

Taki then took out a map, "Your mission is to track down this Heavenly Art thief, I took it. The matter of the loss of the Heavenly Book was already resolved. Tomorrow you go home first, you have been declared to pass this test. Of course, you'll still be doing one more test, but that's later" he said.

Moegi gawks at hearing that and gets angry, but Taki Garaki manages to win it again.

"This thief problem is actually an additional task outside of your test that destroys troubling groups" Taki explained.

"This matter is not something the five of you can deal with. Rather than you ushering yourself into life-threatening danger, it is better to go home and practice. Did you forget, the Martial Arts Tournament will be held in less than 2 years. If you don't enter the Tournament this time, then you won't get another chance" he continued.

Soon Moegi remembered the tournament. He smiled awkwardly and apologized to her. After that, Moegi left them, intending to tell the others about this.

"It's time I left. Kenshin, I'll leave the four of them to you," finished saying, Taki said goodbye to him. After that, he went to replace the mission.

Kenshin turned around to look for Kesha and the others.

"Hey, Son. Can we talk for a second?" Said someone with a heavy tone calling out to him from behind.
