18. Escape

Barra continued to run while he was being chased by bloodthirsty patients. From their appearance alone it had been seen if they were craving blood. His mouth full of red, as well as their rounded eyes made Barra sure that the patient had turned so strange that he was bleeding.

"Run fast!" banda shouted as she pulled Sindi to follow her.

"Barr, we split up. Let them not follow us continuously!" banda's yelling that turned first made Barra walk continuously with her sister.

"Abang, Princess's legs are sore. The Princess was not strong to run anymore." shouted the Princess in a weakened voice until her body fell to the ground. Barra turned back and pounded on her little sister's body so that the bloodthirsty men would not take her sister.

"Abang must be tired." said the Princess who felt bad, always troublesome brother.

"Forget that word and help me find a hiding place. I can't keep running either" said Barra, who remained focused on the road while Banda and Sindi were safe first because the bloodthirsty men had chosen to chase after Barra.

"How are Barra and the Princess at the moment?" ask Sindi who is scared.

"Barra's a great man, surely able to find the sense to stop the strange zombie." replied Banda while sitting on a rock, watching his surroundings.

"How can there be such a patient here. Aren't they already in jail and can't get out?" ask Sindi who is getting confused.

"They come in a crowd, maybe there are people who release them around here" said Banda who felt suspicious.

Banda then heard the sound of helicopter propellers make him and Sindi duck and hide behind the bushes. Apparently Banda's guess is right. Someone had deliberately sent those vampire humans to them.

"Damn. Maybe the chief son of a bitch did it." said Banda who was getting upset, really wanted to give Walvin a lesson as soon as possible.

From above, Walvin searches for his vampire humans he accidentally unleashed to kill the scientists and his friends who will hinder his plans in the future. "Are they dead?" walvin asked the pilot who kept turning his helicopter to check every road.

"I think they're dead, sir. It was impossible to avoid that strange human so quickly." replied the pilot.

"Then we have to get the freak back to the cage before the cops know" Walvin said.

"Well, sir" said the pilot, who returned to his place and coded his friend downstairs to immediately put the vampire man back in the car.

Not long after they put fresh meat into the car, as well as human blood, the humans immediately got into the car in a hurry. The car door was closed making Walvin breathe a sigh of relief. Looks like these strange humans he can control to fight the government. He immediately went with his friends. Banda saw it from a distance.

"That's right, chief? What exactly is he planning?" ask Sindi.

"From the beginning, I was suspicious. Is this the reason I continue to be placed as a novice scientist so that I do not make the chairman's plan fail." said Banda with burning eyes. Sindi was silent, she did not know Walvin because he had not worked long. He only entered last year and was put to work with Banda.

Barra's body was no longer strong, he immediately lay on the ground with an irregular breath. The princess, feeling guilty, continued to massage Barra's legs until Banda and Sindi came to them.

"Is Barra okay? He wasn't bitten, was he?" banda asked who was worried while examining Barra's helpless body.

"Not bitten, just tired of carrying me." replied the Princess.

"Thank God then. We'd better go back to the forest because there's a more serious problem than this" Banda explained as she pulled Barra up.

"We're in danger, Walvin secretly keeps lurking about our whereabouts. If we continue here, the freaks will come back and attack us." explains Sindi.

"Alright, we'll leave immediately" said the princess who agreed. Barra didn't say he had no more energy to talk. Banda was forced to carry Barra's body to the forest. Although Banda was upset, he had no choice. Seeing Putri and Sindi continue to beg him makes Banda have to do it.

Arriving in the forest, two people were standing in front of their tent. Banda, who saw him first, was surprised to drop Barra's body to the ground.

"Dragon!" the princess who ran to help her brother.

"What is this about you?" sindi asked Banda, who was standing with her mouth open.

"They're who?" ask Banda while pointing forward to make everyone look in the direction that Banda pointed. They were shocked and frightened to see two fully dressed people holding weapons standing in front of their tents.

Sindi retreated slowly making the wooden twig she stepped on make a sound. The two men looked back.

"Hey! Raise your hands!" they shouted with guns aimed at Banda, Barra, Putri, and Sindi.

"Also, sir." said the Princess who hid behind her brother's body.

Thirty minutes later...

A middleman came in who had a higher rank than the two men who captured Barra. He then crouched down looking at Barra's face seriously. "So it's true what this officer said?" he asked with a sharp look that almost pierced Barra.

"Yes, right." replied Barra in a stern voice.

"The two people you tied under the tree were infected patients with strange symptoms. You want to cure them until you give them medicine secretly?"

"Yes." replied Barra again in a stern voice.

"Are you a scientist? I heard that only two of you are scientists. So you?" asked the soldier while watching Barra's body.

"Me and the girl next to me are scientists. He was an ordinary person who was an expert at concocting herbal medicine. We entrusted everything to him. The proof, one person managed to recover because of it." replied Banda quickly.

"Then, where are the healed people? I want to see it if you're telling the truth." said the soldier who now turned to look at Banda.

"We have returned it." replied the Princess who dared to make a sound.

The soldier then smiled cynically, thinking he was being fooled. "Don't you know, the chief scientist told us to finish you off anyone who meets you. For that, I will." said the army lieutenant while codifying one of his men who stood behind him to shoot them all.
