12. A Long Journey

"Do you know why they burned this labotarium? There are still people living in this lab. Sindi and Banda should be quarantined here and all the scientists know that. Did they not confirm that there were two scientists in this place?" ask the princess who feels strange. Suddenly the labotarium was deliberately burned for no apparent reason.

"Important first to you. You just kept worrying about Banda and Sindi. Remember, we don't know them for sure. Do not let us be deceived." said Barra who was in front of the parking lot while looking at the labotarium that had been burned out.

Police sirens, ambulances, and firefighters were heard. They quickly tried to put out the fire. Several rescue teams were dispatched. The police began to secure the highway. Barra then approached one of the police officers who was standing not far from him.

"Excuse me, sir. Why are the rescue teams also deployed?" ask Barra.

"Whatchu mean? Isn't this the labotarium that scientists use? They should be working inside, right? I hope all the scientists are fine inside." said the police officer with a sad eye while looking at the growing fire.

"Enter fast! The rescue team must go inside to save everyone." shouted one of the leading ones.

Barra was confused. Sindi tells herself that scientists are moving into a new lab. Not working here again starting today. Supposedly, the police officer knew if no one was in there.

"Daughter, stay here and don't go anywhere." said Barra, who ran through the fire to get in and check on something strange inside the labotarium.

Barra kept running and looking for the room where the drug aberration was. After finding her, Barra tried to break down the entrance to check the inside.

Barra took some medicine that she would research further. The fire heats up, making it harder for Barra to get out. "What should I do?" asked Barra who kept rolling her eyeballs looking for a fire extinguisher she could use to get out.

The water gushing towards Barra made Barra's body drenched. Two people who knew Barra brought a hose to help him.

"I thought you guys were on fire?" said Barra who got up while helping Banda.

"It's not that easy, man. I have to fix this world first." explains Banda who pulled Barra out with her.

"Are you also suspicious of something?" ask Barra who is curious.

"Of course, that's why we check the labotarium they often use to test drugs. As we both suspected, they were the culprits" Sindi said unequivocally.

"I don't understand why they all do it. What reason?" asked Barra who continued to be covered in deep curiosity. He felt this was impossible, but his mind kept spinning with this strange thing.

"We get out of here first and we can figure out a way to find a cure. This world will be destroyed if we just stay silent." explained Banda who remained focused on extinguishing the fire for them to pass.

Banda, Sindi and Barra then went out through the back door. They took off the clothes that scientists often used and deliberately threw them into the fire.

"May you burn out. I don't need you anymore!" banda said with an annoyed face.

"I'm really disappointed. My goal from the beginning was to make medicine and heal many people. Instead I was involved in making everyone sick." said Sindi with a sad eye. Sindi's face was so sad that she wanted to shed her tears.

"Hey, are you crazy? Don't be like that. I didn't do it on purpose. You need help earlier." defended Banda while avoiding Barra.

"Aishh, you fucking cunt. I can't survive if I've been infected" said Barra, who threw her bag in a fit of annoyance.

"Don't be like that." said the Princess who looked at Barra with a difficult view.

"Drink this. Sindi and I made a cure to prevent the first stage. We can survive the next two weeks. Give it to your sister too." said Banda who pulled out a yellow potion from her bag.

"It's a drug we've been secretly making to prevent our cells from developing. Banda and I just drank it. So you two don't have to worry if we deviate the poison inside the potion." Sindi assures.

"That's right. You, Barra can't die before he makes a cure for everyone. Understood!" Banda pointed at Barra with a faint smile.

"Thank you" said Barra who immediately took a sip, then gave the rest to the Princess.

The princess looked hesitant, her hands to the point of shaking holding this potion. How many times did his eyes turn towards Barra who had drunk it. "Am I gonna be okay?" the Princess asked instantly made everyone look at her.

"You'll be fine if you drink it." replied Banda who walked first.

"Once, just drink. We don't have much time. We should go find out this matter more deeply. We also have to look for plants that can be used as medicine. For a while, trust the two of them." pat Barra on the Princess' anxious shoulders.

"Let's go!" peech Sindi who was embracing her little bag while smiling towards the Princess.

"Have you drunk it?" asked Barra who saw her sister walking beside her.

The four of them had already walked as far as possible within an hour or so. The legs of Princess and Sindi started to look tired. Their steps seemed very thin.
