THE FORGOTTEN SINS
This morning the weather was very cool and sunny. Everyone did not want to miss this pleasure so, almost a third of the residents of Medianpolis City chose to leave their residence.
The city is the center of shopping, fashion, technological innovation, and modern culture in this century. Even its modernity has been recognized to other continents.
It is clearly visible from all public facilities that are automated. Even the house is rarely using basic materials in the form of wood. Traffic signs, waste treatment and waste have also achieved very high success rates. All activities in the city are organized in a sophisticated system. Educational facilities, treatment, and others are very sufficient. So even though in a state of prosperity, the community has the awareness not to laze and let technology dominate all daily work.
But between those perfections, there was something very strange. The inhabitants of Medianpolis did not know their own traditional culture. Even children do not know the soft tone of traditional musical instruments, or the elegance of color patterns and beauty of dances.
There's only an abandoned market, the rest of the buildings of the past. It is thought to be filled with statues, reliefs and valuables related to high civilization. But that fact doesn't change its bad look, more like a place to eat than a market. Even the stench of rotten smell rippled from inside so the residents wanted the building to be leveled with the ground.
But apparently the city government now has other plans. By renovating the market, the government hopes that residents and cities alike will participate to try to recognize the remnants of their culture which for decades was treated like garbage.
However, until now there was not the slightest visible response from the community. Even in spite of being in such an awkwardness, the townspeople did not care at all. The cultural disappearance of an area is impossible, but it happens in this perfect city. Without looking back at the things that happened in the past, they continued to walk forward. Make the latest technological innovations and let the mysteries be buried in the loop of time.
Duk, Duk, Duking…
The sound of footsteps on a ladder.
“Kak, let's go!”
“Hah..., this you, I thought it was an earthquake !”Canda another child who was sitting eating his breakfast the next morning.
“He,he,he.sorry...” reply the child grinned.
They are two brothers who live in the middle of Medianpolis. Previously, they had planned on walking origin, just to enjoy the morning atmosphere.
“Well, so go or not?” connect her brother while putting the empty magkuk on the table.
“Come...!”excited answer.
The two boys walked out of the house excitedly. When their feet touched the pavement, the younger brother immediately shot away like an arrow leaving a bow. In this case, the brother is the one who acts as the bow.
“Arna, wait..don't be fast...!”He said while speeding up.
“Come quickly Brother Rabka!”Goda Arna his sister without looking again.
Their destination was a city park not far from home. But the density of people passing by makes the journey feel long.
Arna stopped just below the lush old banyan tree and a few seconds later, Rabka emerged from the crowd and immediately approached Arna.
“Huh..,capek also yes?” rabka said while shaking off the newspaper prepared on the side of the road.
“Ha,ha,ha..Cute sister ! Time is just that tired?” Arna laughed.
“Finally, I chased you! Therefore.., do not run away like a demon chased! Because of you, I almost got hit by a jogger!” answer Rabka Pout.
“Hahaha..Jogging people are slow when you almost got hit? I who run away like being chased by demons is fine. You who run like being chased by slugs are bored!”Arna's laughter exploded.
“Already, already!! Look, someone is selling ice cream, want to not?” sela Rabka while pointing to the middle of the field.
“Mau dong.., want you hit!” The temptation of Arna cannot be stopped.
“Hmh.!” Grunts Rabka upset but still took his sister to the ice cream seller.
Not only did they arrive, Arna stopped looking at the mountain paintings where ornamental plant pots were hung. Automatic, Rabka stopped.
“Hmm...mau to the hill?” ask Rabka.
“Sure!!!”Replied Arna excitedly.
Without waiting for a word from her brother, Arna immediately ran with Rabka towards the west without caring about the ice cream that had become their destination.
The intended hill is a small hill within the central area of Medianpolis City. Medianpolis is surrounded by forest. But in the city center there are not many trees, but rather the technological means that dominate there.
They climbed the ground filled with shady trees and little birds jumped. They continued to run through the clear river where the water only reached the ankle or at the highest knee.
Rabka took water with both hands and washed his face. Arna intends ignorant, he splashed water into his brother's body spontaneously, Rabka's hand moved to remove the water droplets. But before he could reply, Arna had pushed him into the water.
“Ha, ha, ha.., try to reply if you're fast!” Challenge Arna.
“Hah.., just look later” replied Rabka while pulling Arna's hand until they fell together.
The sound of laughter continued to be heard between them.Takiraknya, the sun has been at the top of the sky. But they continue to play without caring. Now, the sun has shifted west. His light hit the face of Rabka who was splashing water on his sister's face. He closed his eyes, unexpectedly Arna even replied with a strong impulse.
“Fall, fall again!!!” Grieved Rabka.
“Solah herself..” taunted Arna.
He ran, just in case his brother chased. But, unfortunately he stumbled over a stone time. Seeing that Rabka's intention to retaliate was lost, changing with a satisfied laugh.
“Ha, ha, ha...quality!” Ejek Rabka while holding his stomach because of amused.
Not only did Arna reply, a huge fish jumped up and landed on his head. Rabka's laughter exploded. It was even harder so Arna's face was red. Rabka set his breath and walked towards his sister. So not careful, his feet kicked a stone until his shoes were swept away by the current. He immediately turned around to chase his shoes.
“hey..., shoes…!!! Wait…!!! Stop...STOP....!!!”
Arna got up from the river and walked to the top leaving Rabka confused. Rabka had regained his shoes, and he found no brother anywhere. Rabka widened the view to the top of the hill, then followed Arna.
He found Arna sitting looking at the sunset. I don't know how long they spent playing on the river. It felt like they had just left home. The sun was gone, some kind of beast came out of hiding to welcome the coming of night. The night wind blew making the atmosphere change drastically, hinting at a secret. But none of them were aware of the change in mood.
“Come Home! It's late, soon this hill will be dark.“ Rabka.
“Alright, let's go!” Reply Arna remained in his original position.
“Come!” Rabka said as he walked ahead of Arna.
He knows, Arna does not want to be left alone there right away, Arna followed slowly behind
Arriving at Home, Arna immediately lay in her room.
“Ah...,capek..!” Arna complained to herself.
“If tired break.” Answer Rabka without being asked.
But it seems that Arna has not responded anymore he has tried to sleep. But when Rabka came to the bed, his closed eyes opened again. Rabka was lying behind him.
“Kak..” call him.
“Hmm...” Rabka replied with eyes closed.
“If it's big you want to be what?” continued Arna.
Rabka was silent thinking about the answer to her sister's question, and turned to look Arna in the eye.
“Now, perhaps.I will become an expert in all kinds of martial arts. Then, I will win tournaments and championships in the city, then..to the whole world!” He replied while imagining tournaments that he had not even lived.
Arna laughed a little at the thought of her brother who crossed the line.
“Hey.., you are this!!! Don't laugh, it's just an ideal!” he exclaimed with a sour face. “the important thing must try, do not just dream,” he continued.
“Iya,Iya..” replied Arna.
“Hmm..., How about you?” ask Rabka back.
“if I was...,”Arna was silent for a moment to think.
After a long moment of racking his brain, finally came the words out of his mouth
“Huh..., I don't know..” at a glance, He looks sorry for not having ideals as high as his brother.
“Ah..already, think next time!” Habur Rabka's.
The night was getting late, the conversation between the two of them had stopped. Instantly, the atmosphere became quiet. Rabka turned around several times, staring at the clock of the wall that kept ticking. Now, Arna was no longer speaking.
“Arna..” call it.
There was no answer, Arna was asleep. He's silent. But suddenly He remembered that they had not cleaned their bodies and had not even eaten dinner. But he let it go, though,
“Stupid time.” Mumbled.
