CHAPTER 42
The company, Lunar Elite, is a subsidiary of Elmer Corporation. If at the head office, Noah served as Chift Executive Officer, then at Lunar Elite, Noah served as Board of Commissioners. His job is only to supervise and give advice to the Board of Directors. He ensures that every subsidiary under his leadership can operate to the maximum. It takes extra energy to control everything. However, this is an activity that his father, even his grandfather had lived. Noah just needs to keep going.
Naya could only nod while imagining how difficult it was to become Noah. Even from Kylie's information, there are two other subsidiaries located in different countries.
“What you should note is that Mr. Noah is trying to enter the Chinese market. You know, right if the largest automotive manufacturer is still held by the country? Imagine being able to compete there, with sales of 26.8 million units annually, will make the Elmer Corp company the most influential automotive company in the world.”
Naya once again just patted on with a clumsy smile. His head was throbbing, his brain was hard to digest.
“OK, maybe I need the names of anyone I need to prioritize to meet Mr Noah.”
“This is the list. I've summarized it for you, complete with a description of how important they are. What I see red is people who are on the blacklist, never pick up the phone or agree to an appointment with them.” He handed him two pieces of paper that he had already clipped at the end.
“Wah, thank you, Kylie.”
“No need, I thank you, because thanks to you, my work reduced.”
Naya smiled. “Then, excuse me, I need to learn this.”
“Oh yes, Naya, where did you graduate? The oxford? The stanfort? Or ... don't tell me, you're from Harvard?”
Naya certainly could not answer that sudden question.
“Oh, I'm sorry, I asked, because Mr. Noah is so picky, I'm surprised he brought you today after yesterday he rejected someone from graduate—”
“A-I ... not that great. I'm just an acquaintance of Mr. Noah who was given a job.”
How can Naya be honest if she's just a high school graduate? Even as he closed the door of Noah's room, he could still feel the gaze of Kylie questioning his words.

Later that night, Naya accompanies Noah to a foreign company. This is an important meeting. Naya dresses up in a knee-length evening gown and Noah is getting handsome with his formal attire. Naya herself still did not understand what she should do. What they will meet is an owner of a large company that has been successful in China. With this dinner, Noah wanted to get information about who he would use to get into the Chinese market.
“Tenace. It's just a regular dinner. You don't need that lump of.”
“I still don't understand why you invited me,” protest.
“You are now my secretary, of course you should know who my relationship is.”
A man who was not very tall and probably about the same age as Noah walked into the vip room with his cigarette smoke.
“A long time ago, I didn't see you, Noah.” The man exhaled his smoke-filled breath.
“Calvin, how was your trip? Pleasant?” ask Noah about the stale.
“Yeah, I'm a little disappointed, there are no comfort women to my liking.”
“I will introduce you to a person who has a large collection of beautiful women.”
Naya was a little uncomfortable with the conversation. He also knew who Noah meant. He was only able to stand behind Noah with a slight bow.
Noah, who noticed it, immediately approached Naya. “Include me, this is my personal secretary. Naya.”
Naya who was trying to politely shake the man's hand which suddenly pulled Naya's hand closer to her lips. The man wanted to kiss Naya's hand.
Noah immediately pulls Naya's rough hand back in dislike. “She's mine. You can't just kiss her.”
“Hahaha, alright, alright.pardon me.”.
Afterwards, Calvin took a seat across the street. Noah and Naya sat next to each other. The dinner takes a very serious turn, as Noah and Calvin continue to share information about something that Naya does not understand, while Naya chooses to enjoy the food in front of her. Suddenly Noah's hand reached out to take the folding napkin then Noah widened and put it on Naya's thigh that was open.
Naya glanced at Noah who was still watching Calvin speak seriously, then Noah begged him as well casually.
“What do you think, Naya?”
Naya was surprised to hear her name on the call. “Sorry?”
“We ask about the annual event in Singapore next week, can you come?” Calvin asked.
“She will come ... because I won't risk her until she disappears again.”
Naya gasped with Noah's words.
“Hah? He ever disappeared? What do you mean?” Calvin moved his body out of curiosity.
“I'm just kidding. You know, it's hard to find a diamond like you said.” Noah looked towards Naya. A bit of a meaningful smile she spread to Naya and made sure Naya saw it.
“I don't think he's just your secretary, do you?” Calvin guessed because he saw the interaction.
“Entahlah. This woman is too complicated.”
“Master, Noah.” Naya was uncomfortable.
Calvin could feel the awkwardness immediately standing up from his seat. “OK, it looks like I have to leave soon. I have to catch a plane to Hong Kong tonight. Thank you for your banquet, Noah”
Noah and Naya stood up. “Cable me. if you visit again.” Noah shook Calvin's hand.
“Oh yes, don't forget my message Noah, Mr. Tony loves comfort women. You better prepare a woman who really suits her taste. You understand, don't you mean?”
“Of course, thank you for all your information, Calvin.”
“Naya, I don't know what happened to you two, but I hope you guys invite me if you get married.”
“Master, I'm only secretary to Mr. Noah.”
“Wah, you were rejected right in front of me.” Calvin patted Noah on the shoulder with a pitiful face.
“Hahaha, take it easy, I'll make sure this is his last rejection.”
