THE ENTERTAINER
CHAPTER 39

“Noah?”

“You know?” Alvin turned his head towards Naya who was still frozen in place. Alvin could feel there was a gaffe from Naya's wet gaze and how the gaze of the foreign man in front of her who was also staring at Lama Naya with a flat expression.

“What's up?” Alvin came forward and stood his back to Naya, deciding his second gaze.

Instead of answering, Noah snorted angrily, his clenched hand was ready to punch the man in front of him in the face.

Naya who poulted Noah's angry face immediately took Alvin's arm to flip to face him. “Alvin, he's an old friend of mine, you come back first, yes, I'll clean the cafe.” Naya tried to persuade.

“Friends? … is he the man you mean?”

“Later ... later I tell you, I beg you. You go back first, yes.”

Alvin who could see Naya's face pleading sincerely finally gave up. “Oke, I'm waiting for you in apart.” Alvin's hands were raised to gently rub Naya's hair.

Noah stiffened his jaw. He was resisting the urge to twist that hand.

Alvin walked to the back area to pick up his bag, then returned by passing Naya and Noah who were observing his movements, until Alvin came out and closed the door.

No one talks between the two of them. Only Noah's steps echoed while observing the little cafe. His hands were ready in front of his chest.

Naya steals the view, Noah is hundreds of times more handsome than a year and a half ago since they last met. His plain black t-shirt combined with a long coat and shiny shoes are typical of luxury brands. There was never a gap from Noah's appearance, except for one. His tired face was clearly imprinted there.

Noah now sat on one of the wooden chairs while folding his legs arrogantly. He misses Naya, he can't deny that. However, seeing Naya who was fine after leaving her in a mess, it felt very unfair.

“A-what are you doing in-here?”

Damnit. Tongue's stiff. Naya squeezes her nervous finger.

“Why? You don't like me showing up and interrupting your romance?”

Deg.

Noah's tone changed greatly. There were no sweet words or warm words he used to say to her. What did he expect? Noah would hug her while saying how much he missed her? Idiotically. Himself is the cause. Leaving Noah alone without explaining anything. Naya lowered her head in while smiling wryly. It seems true, there is no love for him.

“Until when will you stand there?”

Finally, Naya took her place in front of Noah, they were separated by a small square table.

“Do you not want to say something, huh?”

Naya who was still lowered in silence could not say anything. There is no point in explaining. It's all been going on for a long time.

“Ma-sorry.” Only that word can come out.

Noah exhaled his heavy breath. “Sorry? You think it's that easy?”

Naya looked down deeper, hiding her reminiscing tears.

“You asked for 150 million from my father, right? Did you enjoy the money?”

“Ke what?!” snapped Noah.

Naoh actually knew why Naya used the money. Riya had told him that Naya had come the night she disappeared with the money as a ransom for her friend, Clara. Only, Noah was still very disappointed with Naya's decision to leave him alone. The pain was like burning it from the inside.

“I'm asking you to trust me, Naya. I'm asking you to stay with me. But, you chose to just walk away, and have fun with another man now.”

Noah, who had lost control, pulled his black hair back.

“I seem too stupid and naive first,” he continued.

“Noah..

Noah's sharp gaze was piercing. “I'm not your friend.”

“oh .. ma-sorry, Mr.” Naya grimaced, she could feel her heart getting sicker. It felt like Naya immediately ran out instead of facing Noah with her cold demeanor like this.

“I'm sorry for making you like this. My explanation seems to be meaningless. I do not know what kind of kindness you have to pay to me first, sa—”

“You feel guilty and you want to pay for all my kindness, right?”

Naya's forehead wrinkled, indeed that was what she said, but seeing Noah's unpredictable little smile, made her nod in doubt.

Noah fixed his seat. Staring intensely at Naya, then took out something from her pocket. A small rectangular paper with his company logo.

“Take this. Tomorrow, at 7am, you should be there already. Meet me.” Noah threw his card on the table.

Naya took it and read the address. “Master, I can't. There are no inter-city buses operating this late. If there is, it takes more than 10 hours to get there.”

“I do not tolerate delays.”

Naya who was still staring at the business card was drifting with her own thoughts, while Noah was already standing and stepping towards the door.

Noah looked. “Why are you still sitting?”

Naya confused.

“You said there was no bus, right? Then you'll come with me tonight.”

“Hah?”

“Why? Didn't you say you wanted to repay all my kindness?”

“Ta-but. I can't leave the cafe tonight, I still have to work tomorrow.”

Noah's patience was completely exhausted now. “Close with me now, or I'll burn this cafe.”
