Naya squirmed as she was interrupted by the voice of a man who was speaking a foreign language. When his brain was still not working properly, it was his vision that awakened his reality. Still with a surprised face, Naya sat down from her bed while pulling the blanket. His body was still wrapped in full clothes last night, only, how could he end up on the bed, while the well-dressed Noah was casually talking on the phone while looking straight at him. Like waiting for him to wake up.
After keeping the phone away from his ear, Noah approached while looking at his watch. “Jam eight through fifteen. You're even late for your first day.”
First day? Naya was like a dazed person trying to digest what Noah actually meant.
“OK, now past sixteen minutes.”
“Tu-lord. I'm late for what?”
Noah was still looking at his watch. “Seventeen minutes.”
Gosh darn. Naya's head was about to break. Whatisthis? Naya who did not understand what she was late for, immediately got out of bed, with her instinct, she passed towards the bathroom. I don't know, he'll just take a shower first.
Turns right. Noah flicked his count while looking at the hurried Naya.
After coming out of the bathroom, on top of her bed was already a large box, as Naya took out the contents, there was a pair of dark blue formal attire and another small box that contained not-so-high heel shoes. The still confused Naya is startled by the ringing of her phone, the phone coming in from Clara.
“Naya. You still alive? I've been waiting all night for you.”
“I'm still breathing, Ra.”
“Thank God. I thought Noah would kill you somewhere and leave your body just like that.”
Naya laughed a little. “I also think like that.”
“I don't know whether to worry or not. Anyway keep me informed, yes.”
“Iya, Ra.”
“OK, I have to get back to work, Bye, Na.”
After turning off her connection, Naya put on her clothes, and styled her hair. Luckily, she also brought her makeup kit with her last night. Thanks to Clara, Naya was able to prune well.
When she finished, Naya stood up and walked towards the tall mirror that could display her entire body. When he saw himself, Naya was glued. “Wah,” murmured. A white shirt wrapped in a blaster and a knee-length skirt of the same color, fits perfectly on her body.
In his entire life he had never seen such a version of himself. You can really fool anyone. Like a good woman with a high level of education. Suddenly his eyes were hot. If only, that next life really existed. Naya will never again give up on her ideals and will become a career woman like the woman before her.
Naya came out after she was completely ready. On the sofa there was Noah waiting for him while reading a newspaper that must be foreign language as well.
“For days per—”
Noah's sentence was cut off when he saw Naya's appearance. So pretty.
“Ehm.” Noah cleared his throat. “Cute me.”
***
“Include, this is Naya. From today, all my schedules and appointments, forward to Naya.”
Noah's sentence echoed. A woman standing before him nodded in understanding then turned around. But, before coming out, Noah spoke again.
“Bring me breakfast. Two servings.”
“Good, Master,” replied the beautiful woman then slightly lowered her head in respect and actually stepped out. Until the door closes again.
“You don't need experience just for writing, do you?”
“Stay only, I'm worried about making an error.” Naya honest. This is very different from the previous two jobs.
Noah grunts. “Do not be noisy, I have to read this report.”
Naya who was standing not far from Noah could only sigh in resignation, her eyes looking at the atmosphere of Noah's large office space. The look behind Noah caught his eye. Rows of other tall buildings, and little clouds adorned the blue sky that morning. So what is it like to work for a company? In the depths of her heart, Naya wanted to thank her for being able to feel the role of being a career woman.
The figure of Noah who was struggling with a sheet of paper on his desk, with his serious face and without the sweet smile that Noah usually gave for him. But that doesn't matter. A slight faint smile rose on Naya's face. Like a dream, he could see Noah again as close as he is now.
A knock on the door was heard twice, before the door was opened and the same woman came in carrying a tray of two plates and two bottles of mineral water.
“Master, in an hour, you will meet with the Marketing Team,” he said after putting the contents of the tray onto the glass table.
Noah nodded. “Kylie, when I meet, teach Naya what she needs to know.”
“Good, Sir. I excuse.”
After closing the door again, Noah stood up and approached the oval table surrounded by six chairs.
“Company me breakfast.”
With hesitation, Naya approached, her stomach was indeed empty from the morning. He had not even drunk a mouthful of water. Two sandwitches with fresh vegetable filling and omelette in front of him. Naya took one of the loaves and ate it.
“Take your food, I have to go to the meeting room now. Kylie was at her desk. By the time I get back, you'll have to finish my next schedule. You got it?”
Naya nodded obediently, while chewing her food. He glanced at Noah's plate, which was still a lot left.
“You didn't spend your breakfast?”
“I'm not feeling well.”
Naya's face turned sad. “What's there because I'm here?”
“Maybe.”
Noah's short answer that increasingly made Naya's feelings mixed. He was confused by Noah's cold and determined attitude, but forced him to work with him. Naya really doesn't know what to behave like.
“Wear this for your lunch.” Noah placed a black card next to his plate.
Naya is further confused by Noah's attitude.
“Master, Noah. I can use my money sen—”
“Why is it so hard, Naya? You just have to say thank you, right?”
Naya lost her words. He sighed deeply before saying, “Thank you, Mr. Noah.”
Noah only glanced at him a glance then walked towards the door and closed it. Naya was still staring straight at the door with her mind floating. His days may be filled by Noah again, but not Noah who he knew first.
