Naya grimaced feeling her head throbbing in pain. His still-closed eyes fumbled over the nightstand. Usually, he always keeps water on his bedside.
A person who had seen Naya who had not opened his eyes, thrust mineral water towards Naya's hand who was looking for something. Very lazy, Naya sat on her body and drank the water in the glass. It's all because last night's bartenders were definitely lying about their alcohol levels. Right, bartender, last night, at the club.
Naya who felt awkwardness immediately opened her eyes quickly and turned to look at someone who was already standing with her arms crossed waiting for her to wake up.
“Until when are you going to sleep? This is not a hotel.”
Naya was surprised. “Ma-sorry Mr.” Naya checked her clothes. Still complete.
“You think I'll use you when you're unconscious?”
“Ah, not so Sir. I'm just afraid it doesn't serve you well.” Naya's lying.
“Build. I'll drop you off.”
“No need Sir, I can do it myself.”
“Good, I also do not need to bother explaining to Riya for kidnapping you during working hours.”
Naya jerks. Madam Riya will kill him for disappearing last night.
“Tu-sir, if you are not busy, can I ask for your help?” Naya tried her hardest to resist the feeling of not knowing herself.
“Rushing.” Noah only took a quick glance at Naya and exited the VVIP room.
Naya smiled thankfully, she immediately ran over to catch up with Noah.
Noah stopped in front of a large door with both doors shut. Noah also did not bother knocking on that door. He pushed her and entered casually. While the woman with the cigarette in her mouth smiled sinisterly looking at Noah with Naya who was behind him.
“You always just make me have to spend energy to find one prostitute who turns out not lost.” Madam Riya of course spoke to Noah.
“Don't blame him, it's my fault for not being able to see his body while at club.”
Naya just looked down and listened to the two humans there talking about her.
Madam Riya sounded an annoyed snort. “That's why I always forbid them from going upstairs. They can be used without being paid. I can lose.”
“You doubt me?” challenge Noah.
Madam Riya chuckled. “Of course I'm not talking about you, sir. There is no way a single heir of the largest company in the Country can not afford one prostitute.”
Now Noah laughed loudly. “Send your bill.” Noah then glanced slightly at Naya who was still standing not far beside him. “The body is very worth the money I spent.”
Naya raised her face when she heard Noah's words. Noah was grinning there.
...----------------...
Naya does not know what happened after she was told to leave the room, leaving Noah and Madam Riya in there. Naya now walks towards the dorm, she has to find Clara.
When he opened the door, he could see Rose and Clara were joking with each other. Clara who was surprised saw Naya immediately put on an expression of regret.
“You can kill me, Nay,” Clara resignedly.
“Where were you last night? Why did you disappear?” naya asked in annoyance, while closing the door behind her.
“I didn't disappear. I met up with my acquaintances, and he took me to his desk.”
“Are you not worried?” Disappointed, Clara does not look for him.
Clara smiled meaningfully. “Because I know who brought you.”
Naya even forgot to change the black dress she was wearing. Clara took out an abstract t-shirt and trousers from her closet and handed them to Naya.
“I almost killed the same Madam Riya,” Naya story while receiving Clara clothes.
“How can you be so sure?”
“Later ... later I tell you everything,” promise.
Naya simply nodded, not wanting to force Clara. He then glanced at Rose who had been listening to her chat with Clara. Thank goodness for Rose's ailing body, yesterday she was allowed to rest. It's just, tonight he again has to serve his guests.
“How do you feel?” Naya asked in a very gentle tone.
“I've been well, Brother,” Rose replied in a raucous voice. Maybe because he was yelling a lot a few days ago, his voice still did not return to normal.
“Thankful. If there's anything you need or tell me, me and Clara will listen to it, yeah,”
“Although we can't help, but we can also cuss the person who pisses you off.” Clara tried to put on her angry face.
Rose chuckles. While Clara and Naya smile to see Rose who has really improved.
“Nay, you want to go home today?”
Naya did not immediately reply, she weighed slightly. “Entahlah. Maybe my husband still needs time to accept this job.”
Clara doesn't want to ask any more questions, except for Naya herself who wants to tell her everything.
Naya took her breath as silence was created between them. Clara told me about herself, maybe Naya should start trusting Clara too.
“I'm from an orphanage.” Naya. Clara and Rose turned to look at Naya and prepared to listen to her.
“My husband Brian is the one who introduced me to the meaning of family. I love her, I don't blame her for what's happening to me now.”
Naya tried to avoid the gaze of the two of them and busied herself by folding the black dress she was wearing.
“The first year of our wedding is very beautiful. I know Brian loves me too. Until I was pregnant, a beautiful princess. That happiness feels many times over.” Naya smiled broadly recalling those memories.
“Brian and I always stroked my stomach that grew bigger every day, either since when, but we started calling him ‘love’. I want my son to be able to feel the great love of his two people.” Naya's eyes had started to get wet but her lips extended a smile. His heart was still recalling memories he would never feel again.
Clara thrust out a few strands of tissue for Naya without saying anything.
“But, I'm sloppy. I fell down the stairs and my son died. My heart was broken when I heard it, but when the doctor said that my uterus was also removed. My world collapsed instantly. My husband and my two in-laws also cried hearing it.” His voice began to wilt. The tears from her eyes alternately fell.
“The second year of my marriage, My two in-laws had an accident. My father-in-law died, and my mother-in-law was in a coma. My husband's depressed. He sold all the inheritance left by his father to pay his mother's hospital money.”
His eyes glared towards the window, outside it was cloudy. Like his life at the time.
“We think all disasters will stop coming. After the third year of our marriage, the start-up company my husband had built since we graduated school had to be declared bankrupt. Investors are asking for a refund worth billions. Not until there, in that year too, my mother-in-law died after being in a coma for almost a year,” he continued.
Clara and Rose were now also looking at Naya with teary eyes.
“Since then, my husband has rarely come home. He spent his time in the gambling house. He hopes to get a big jackpot and be able to pay off all his debts. But it just adds to our debt. Gambling and alcohol really ruin it. Every time he came home, he would scold me and blame me for all the bad luck he had. I try as hard as I can to help him. I survived by being by his side.”
“Why do you still survive, Nay?” ask Clara who can't stand it.
Naya smiled at the question. “Did you ever envy seeing a three-year-old kid being carried by his parents while eating ice cream on the side of the road? Or have you ever felt how to actually have a family that is truly your own family?”
Clara and Rose did not reply, they were stunned. Although they had the same fate, but at least they had both parents and families that adorned their small lives.
“Brian didn't leave me when I was honest about myself being an outcast without both parents, and still living in an orphanage until I finished high school because no family would adopt me.”
Naya raised her face looking at Clara and Rose alternately. “My husband didn't leave me then. Therefore, I will not leave him at his worst time either. Although he was often rude to me, but he was my only family. Family I never had.” Naya covered her face with both hands. He was suppressing his own crying.
Clara couldn't take it anymore, she took Naya's hug. Rose, who was crying, hugged Naya there. That afternoon for some reason, Naya wanted to scream and let out all the pain in her heart. The pain he had been in all this time. A pain she never told even her husband. Maybe God showed us the way to meet Clara and Rose. Who understands his wounds.
