“How is the condition, Doc?”
“Nona Naya is just exhausted, for her bruises only take a few more days before they completely disappear,” replied the Doctor who Noah deliberately called to check on Naya's condition which is still unconscious since last night's incident.
“Thank you, Doctor.”
“Oh yes, the bandage on your back do not forget to replace, this is the box I will leave to treat your wound. Then, I'm sorry.”
Noah sat down next to Naya, who had not yet opened his eyes. I don't know what her favorite woman was dreaming of, when the corner of her closed eyes drained a piece of water. Noah clasped Naya's hand gently and whispered, “I'm here, Honey.”
——
Naya wakes up from her sleep. The last thing he remembered was the sudden arrival of Noah's father. Mr. Elmers. If not wrong, Noah called it that way. Due to his condition that was still so weak, his head ached as he forced himself to sit up from the bed feeling unfamiliar. Not only the bed, but also the atmosphere and the smell of the room that is spacious feel different.
There was no Noah around. With small steps while continuing to hold her throbbing head, Naya headed towards the door and turned the handle. Noah was there, standing and facing a large window that showed off the glittering beauty of the city at night. The thing that caught his attention was that the man was not wearing any tops and there was a bandage adorning his back.
“You injured?”
Noah turned around, finding Naya who had already walked up to him with a faint clattering of steps. He immediately walked up to the original black shirt hanging from the sofa, then approached the woman with a smiling face, seeing the woman was awake.
“I'm fine. How's condition? Is anyone still sick?” asked Noah while taking over Naya's grasp.
“It's been a little light.”
Noah rests Naya onto letter L's couch in the middle of the room. Naya spread her gaze.
“Where are we?”
“Hotels. Back to the apartment too far. Hold on, I'll get you a drink, yeah.”
Naya nodded. Noah stood up and walked away. Right in front of Naya there was a large table made of colored marble in line with the sofa he was sitting on. There was Noah's phone on it, a message coming in, Naya couldn't read it, but Naya could see who the sender was. Alex.
Noah returns with a glass of water, after handing the glass to Naya, he grabs her phone and opens the message. His smile expands to see a picture of a passport sheet that displays Naya's true identity. Everything is ready.
“What's up? You look happy.”
Noah saves his phone and sits down next to Naya. Thinking of a way to persuade the woman to come with him.
“Naya... what do you think about living abroad?”
“Outside? I have never been out of the country. Where are you going?” ask him weakly.
Noah smiled, then took Naya's hand. “Not me, but we. Me, you and my mom.”
Naya gasped, her forehead wrinkled. “But, why? Is this because of your father?”
Noah nodded small. “My father will not stop Naya. He will find a thousand ways to separate us. And my mom is not safe here either.”
Naya. His net suddenly started to get wet, many things in his mind. To be honest, his heart had already given a slight gap to Noah's presence in his life. But, the fact that he was the cause of all the chaos in Noah's life made him feel very guilty. His head is throbbing pain.
“Naya, talk to me.”
“Noah, I can't come with you,” she explained.
“Why? You don't trust me?”
Naya shakes. “Not that, Noah. We're just running away from your father. All our lives we will move from one country to another. Hope your father gives up. I know, you're the sole heir. Your father also has no other brothers. Your father will not let you go, until .. you release me.” Naya lowered her head back, she bit her lips deep, hoping that her cries would not make a sound.
There's no sound. Then a slow slack becomes the answer.
Noah grunts. “Naya, look at me. Answer my question again.” Noah cupped Naya's messy face. “Do you love me?”
“I don't know. But, my heart hurts, Noah. Very sick.”
With a rough pull, Noah brings Naya into his arms. “I'm sorry, Naya. Please continue with me.”
Naya's defense collapsed. Her crying broke out in the chest of that field.
“Noah ... untie me, yes.”
Noah tightened his embrace. “ Never will be.”
“Noah..”.
“Naya, stop telling me!” Noah began to feel angry.
The sound of breathing becomes a substitute for their voice. Naya and Noah are both drifting in their own minds. Naya thinks of a way to persuade Noah to let go, while Noah thinks of a way for his father to stop all his crazy plans.
Noah's cell phone rang taking their attention. This time, Rio's name was there. Noah grabbed his phone, walked away, and answered the call.
“Master, your mother's name is headline news at this time.” Rio's voice was full of panic there.
Noah's frozen. “What's the news about?” Noah's voice changed. Angrily. Hands clenched. Naya could see that expression.
Rio paused before continuing. “Your father revealed the incident 20 years ago.”
“Articles!” Noah yells. His mother will be the media.
Naya was surprised, she stiffened up.
“Remove all that news. I don't care how much they ask. Tighten the care on my mom.”
“Good, Young Master.”
Closed call. Noah's breath is hunting. His emotions are unstable. Right now, he wanted to kill his father. Will it all end with killing the man? Noah nibbled his temple.
“What happened?” Naya's worried.
Noah shook his head. “It's okay, don't worry.” Noah's voice was clearly lying.
“I don't know what happened, but I can take care of myself. You go, meet your mother.”
Noah fondles. Then turn to face Naya. “I'll be back soon. I promise.”
Naya smiled. “Iya, I will wait for you.”
Noah kissed Naya's forehead and called someone back. “Hotel Arriott. Now!”
Noah disappeared along with the door shut. Naya's tears fell as she was enveloped in silence. His heart rejected the crazy plan his brain was thinking about. But, this was the only way ... to repay Noah's good deeds all along.
