THE ENTERTAINER

THE ENTERTAINER
CHAPTER 36

Giant Elmer Corporation, which is engaged in the automotive field, is becoming a news headline on all news platforms, ranging from print magazines to online articles, Noah's face is displayed there, The President Director is now the Chief Executive Officer. Noah officially holds the throne of the highest leadership in the big company.

Tonight is the night where the leadership transfer event was held. In a large hall, Hotel Lingham is a historic venue for the Elmer Corporation, which is attended by all of its executive boards, shareholders and business relations.

The room was decorated with luxurious decorations. Fresh flowers, red carpets, candles, and ornaments depicting luxury. Guests in attendance wore formal attire, evening dresses for women and suits for men. The event was really only for those who were classy and had a strong influence in the field of business.

After a formal event that lasted for an hour, now the atmosphere turned into a more relaxed, soft jazz music. All the guests who were no more than 50 people were enjoying light to heavy dishes while occasionally glancing towards Noah who was still putting on an unfathomable flat face.

Supposedly at that time, Noah approached the guests while thanking them for fulfilling the invitation. However, now he was sitting lazily beside his father who had been talking to his business partner. Talking about anything Noah was so uninterested in hearing.

“Goodnight, Mr. Noah.”

Noah looked up, a long-haired beautiful woman and her evening dress showing off her slender and tall curves, was smiling shyly, she said, while beside her stood a middle-aged woman with a face without the distinctive wrinkles of Botox liquid.

“Include, this is my only daughter. His name is Anastasya, just graduated S2 from the University of Cambrige.”

Noah did not smile or respond. While the Botox woman pulled the beautiful woman to come closer and greet Noah.

“Greetings, Mr.” The pretty lady's hand was stretched out.

Noah stood haughty, putting his hand in his pants pocket.

“I'm not interested.”

A very short and clear rejection. The beautiful woman bowed sadly, while the mother had snorted annoyedly at Noah's insolent behavior. But, what can he do? That night, it wasn't just him and his son who were rejected. Some of the voices of gossip that Noah had a sexual disorder became a more domineering talk for the embittered mothers back there.

Noah doesn't care. Very uncaring. He also ignored the angry look of his father who saw his attitude. He chose to walk to a table in the corner of the room that served various types of expensive champagne, then loosened the black tie that strangled his neck. His eyes were full of fatigue, his breathing was always heavy. It had been a year, even though he was not looking for the woman who had made him messy and messy, however, his heart still felt very uncomfortable.

For Noah, if Naya did choose to leave him, then Noah would do the same. Because that night, too, was his last night in the homeland. Tomorrow, with the earliest flight, he will head to Paris. Officially lead the main company and bring his mother.

---

Meanwhile, in a faraway place, in a different City, a woman with a smile on her face was trying to repeat the sentence of a plain blue-robed guy while tightly holding onto his backpack strap.

“Vanilla Latte hot one, and Chocolate Cake one. Okay, a total of one hundred and fifty thousand, Kak.”

The backpacker paid for it then walked towards the empty seat.

“Nay, order number 10 is ready yes.”

Naya turned around still with a smile, while the man who spoke to her was still busy pacing back and forth making orders.

“Okay, thank you, Vin.”

“This is because of Sickness barrel, so you have to double job today.”

“It's okay, Alvin. Coincidentally today's customers are also not too crowded.” Naya then raised a tray that already contained one medium-sized glass of Frappuccino ice.

Alvin, a tall, white man, becomes one of Naya's shift mates at a small cafe called Arium in the suburbs. Fortunately, the cafe is close to a Private University. So, even though it is on the outskirts, the cafe can fairly have customers every day.

The man who is the same age as Naya has two different jobs in one day. Another job is to keep at one of the minimarkets. His hardworking and painstaking figure, makes Naya amazed by Alvin. Although, Alvin never told me why he forced himself to work in two places at once for a full week.

Naya returns after dropping off her order, then takes her place behind the cashier as the bell hanging above the door rattles, a tall man in his formal attire walks in and stands in front of Naya's counter.

“Good afternoon, please order.”

“What time is home today?”

Naya smiled and whispered. “I'm overtime today.”

Disappointed look on the man's face, while Alvin who stole the view always do not like the presence of the man who works as a young lecturer.

“Ice Caramel Latte one, and. Ice Matcha Latte one.”.

Naya typed the order into the touchscreen in front of her. “Drink here or Take Away?”

“I'd like a drink here if you're temenin.”

Naya chuckles. “Still working hours, Sir.”

“Nay... I told you, call Alga only.”

Naya's smile disappeared. The same words as someone once told her.

Naya smiled awkwardly. “Ah, sorry, this suddenly screen freeze.”

“Caramel Latte is wrapped only.”

“Matcha His Latte?”

“For you.”

Naya will refuse, but Alvin has already cut the sentence. “Nay, please drop orders for number eleven, yes. I changed at the cashier.”

Algae's sweet smile disappeared, staring at Alvin with hatred.

“Order is in. Total one hundred and seventy thousand,” said Alvin with ketus.

Algae pay without saying anything, then move to take place while waiting for the order to be made. Alga prayed that the man not spit on his drink.

Naya permits to Alvin for a short break in the back room, mumpung after Alga, still no more customers who enter.

Naya sits between piles of coffee sacks, which gives off a calming scent for her. Soon, he'll need that scent.

He picked up his phone, then typed something in the search browser. During this year, Naya became one of the article hunters or channels that preach economics and business. Not because Naya is interested in all the numbers or charts about the capital market or money in circulation. Naya was looking for news about one big company that always made her chest rumble great. Looking for a name that still screams in his heart.

Sure enough, the news of one business article last night, informs that the son of the owner of a large company Elmer Corp. based in La Defense, the largest business district in Paris, is, he became the new leader for the company. Noah William Elmer's.

Naya's bead doesn't feel wet. Noah's latest photo was clearly drawn there, as he was delivering his speech. As usual, that handsome face always looks beautiful in his eyes, let alone the hazel Noah bead that he misses so much.

Naya lowered her head to hide her suddenly dripping tears. He breathed in the aroma of the coffee. Neutralizing her judgmental feelings her decision a year ago. Maybe Naya would have pulled her hair hard if not the ringing from her phone disperse that desire. Clara's name is there.

“Nay, have read the article about—”

“Iya, already, Ra.”

Clara took her breath. “She's also been to Paris today, right?”

Naya quiet. He read it too.

“Already, Ra, don't discuss him again.” Naya's voice was very clearly restraining her own emotions.

“OK, I will stop, if all the business magazines with their face covers have disappeared from our room.”

Naya smiled slightly. “I'll burn it tomorrow.”

“Yes, it's like the same sentence I heard a month ago.”

Naya smiled but could not argue.

“I'm done at 9pm, go home together, yes.”

The sound of shouting was heard calling for Clara at the end there. “OK, Na. Bye.”

Closed call. Compared to him, Clara is more busy, because she works at one of the most crowded restaurants there. Perhaps because of Clara's very friendly and cheerful nature, thanks to her years of experience serving customers, although the term customer is very different from the actual understanding, making the restaurant owner's mother rely heavily on Clara. Even recently appointed Clara as a supervisor for restaurant staff that numbered more than 20 people.

“Nay,”

Naya flinched, she immediately stood up and patted her dirty back body.

“Eh sorry, Vin. I rest later.” Naya wants to go past Alvin, but her steps stop when Alvin holds her wrist.

“Your cheeks are still wet.” Alvin pointed towards the outer corner of Naya's cheek which still left a water mark of her tears.

Naya hastily takes off Alvin's grasp, but as natural as possible.

“This was me washing my face, like the lap was less dry.”

Alvin smiled a little. “Iya, I trust.” Then walked out, leaving Naya who was still in her place.
