CHAPTER 4 - With You (1)

Leah immediately went to the parking lot, she walked quickly because she was worried that Roy had been waiting for her for too long.

Arriving at the parking lot, Leah's eyes search for where Roy is. "Where is he actually next?"

Apparently Roy was up to ten minutes ago. He sat on a chair under a large tree. He seemed to be enjoying the atmosphere while listening to something from his earphones. Many girls passed by in front of him, as if they wanted to see the dazzling looking male face.

Roy opened his eyes, as if he were aware of Leah's presence that he couldn't even find.

He smiled, seeing the little girl bewildered looking for him.

And so, when their eyes met, Roy opened his mask and waved his hand.

Leah ran towards Roy, seeing him carrying a small pocket bobbing with him. Right, that's kebab.

Roy gets up from his seat and approaches Leah and catches her.

"You shouldn't have run. Look, your appearance is a mess" Roy said, confirming Leah's hair.

Leah smiled broadly. He held up the bag he was carrying.

"Let's eat first" Leah said impatiently.

Roy opened the bag, "This is my reward for waiting" asked Roy, raising one eyebrow.

"The smell is delicious, everyone? For me?" ask Roy.

"No!" cut Leah. "I want it too, we eat together. That's a big size, even if I give it all. At least Kak Roy should take the initiative to share it with me a little bit" Leah said with a clear face.

"Haha. All right, let's sit there" said Roy pointing to the chair he was sitting in and holding Leah's hand with him.

After they sat down Roy opened the bag containing the kebab and gave one to Leah. Now each of them brought a kebab that was still warm.

Leah is ready to devour her share but.hap! Roy's hand landed on his mouth.

Leah thinks Roy is working on it. So he immediately put away Roy's hand and prepared to devour it again. But Roy stopped him again.

"Wait a minute" Roy said. "You want to eat it without reciting the prayer first?" ask Roy.

"Oh my God, forgive my greed for making me forget you" Leah said not only earnestly mixed with shame.

Leah began to bite into the big kebab whose sauce was even smeared everywhere.

"Um.. Uh.." Leah intends to ask Roy to take a tissue in his bag and Leah thrust her face so that Roy wiped the sauce on his face.

Seeing the behavior of his lover Roy felt amused, like something tickled inside him. Only Leah can make it like this. Feeling happy. Something he had never felt.

His days were always spent with official trips, meeting clients and meetings at the office. Only the files and laptops are always accompanying her and her two secretaries, Ben and Helena.

But now he felt relaxed and free. All his fatigue was lost just by meeting Leah. Girl pujaannya.

"Then, where's Gaby?" ask Roy.

" With John" Leah replied.

"So soon he's got a girlfriend" Roy said.

"Very weird. An athlete at school will usually attract attention so people will be aware of their whereabouts" Roy said.

"Eitherway. I feel that way too. I know the faces of the kids at school. Yes, even though I don't know their names. But if for 3 years in the same school I should have known. Or maybe he's a transfer student, no wonder I don't know" Leah said.

Roy quickly finished his meal. The surprised Leah saw the jumbo kebab vanish quickly by the man next to her. Leah stopped her eating and gave her her remaining portion.

"You again?" ask Leah.

Roy picks it up without hesitation and holds Leah to walk her to her car. While devouring the kebab.

"I wish I could eat this again next time" Roy told Leah.

"It's so good as you say"

They got into the car and immediately made their way home. Not until the house, the car glass is wet with raindrops. The air inside the car is getting colder. Roy pressed the car's AC button and raised the temperature.

The streets are very quiet. It seems like everyone prefers to spend their time at home when it is raining. It's like being with family.

Roy focused on driving with one hand, while the other held his head.

Leah felt there was something important to say, but Roy had not explained anything.

Arriving at the Abimana family home, Roy takes Leah to the side yard.

At the fish pond. The place that makes Roy feel calm. The sound of the shower water gurgling and the sound of water splashing from the pond because the fish swim to and fro. And the sounds of bamboo blowing in the wind.

"Why keep quiet, was in the car not talking?" Leah asked what really happened. "Something happened or what?" leah asked as she hugged and patted Roy's arm sitting next to her.

"I'll go to Japan for a month maybe more. As usual I want to say goodbye to you, by spending time together. But this time it's a bit long" Roy said, clasping Leah's hand. "The company is unstable because there is a case of corruption from insiders. Actually, this case has been handed over to the authorities. But I have to take action immediately, otherwise we will suffer a lot of losses if the project fails. It's a giant project, a lot of money being spent. If successful, of course, success and profits will be greater. But if it fails the company can go bankrupt" explained Roy.

"That long? So you came back for my graduation announcement?" leah said hoping.

"I'll try to come for you. But this time I dare not promise. I'm sorry" replied Roy.

"Yes, I understand. Surely the situation of your extended family is also anxious" said Leah, who was also concerned.

"Yes, even my sister who is still at university should come back and help" Roy sighed.

Hugging Leah, "Get me strong, I'm a little tired" Roy whispered.

Leah replies to Roy's embrace, and says things that a student thinks are good at times like failing a school exam, or getting bullied from friends.

Leah let go of his embrace and looked at Roy's face and said that everything would be able to get him done well, because everyone was with him.

Including himself, even though they were far apart for a while but Leah will always support him.
