CHAPTER 24 - Announcement

Roy looked back at his watch. His eyes search for the whereabouts of Aditya and Leah, but he does not find.

"I'm sorry, I went somewhere. Enjoy dinner!" roy said he left Sherry.

"Sure," Sherry replied as she sipped a glass of non-alcoholic wine as she stared at Roy's back which slowly disappeared from her sight.

When Sherry wakes up from her seat she intends to tidy up her appearance but Hatori is already behind her.

"Everything goes like you want?" ask the man.

"Hh, you're surprising me!" sherry said as she held onto her chest in surprise.

"Lumayan. Not too bad, but I have a bad feeling," rich Sherry.

"really?" Hatori approached Sherry and whispered, "Then prepare yourself. I'll stay here and see you from a place you don't see" said Hatori, who walked away from her.

"Hey, don't bother," Sherry refused.

Somewhere else. Roy approaches his mother and conveys her uneasiness.

"Do you know where Leah and her sister are? Have they come?" ask Roy.

Keiko smiled, apparently from earlier the son was looking for a figure he did not find.

"They've arrived, you take it easy. Your future wife and brother-in-law are fine," Keiko replied while holding her son over to Riezel as the core event was about to begin.

Secretary Shin went up to the pulpit and directed all the attention of the invited guests towards him and announced that the event would begin.

The arrangement of events runs one by one smoothly. Especially the welcome from Riezel Mannof as President Director of AOne.

Helena's presentation of the mega project Fourth Heaven went smoothly with Joseph.

"My family and I set our wedding date the day after I proposed to you in front of Om and Auntie. I'm sorry I surprised you. I think he must have told you this before we left for Japan" Roy said.

Leah shook her head, "No. They haven't told me this" Leah said.

"alright. It's okay, after coming home I'll be mad at them" Leah said.

"Hey, why is that?" ask Roy.

"Why what? Specially? Who wants to get married is Roy with them, or with me?" said Leah somewhat pouting.

Roy pressed his temple, "Okay. We're all guilty of you. Now let's go back inside, okay?" persuade Roy.

"Give me your hand!" said Leah.

"Darling! Are you a tiger boy now?" roy is still in pain.

"Wild! I'm upset. Roy doesn't know what I'm feeling, I'm still immature, but I also need to know what my life is all about" Leah continued to nag incessantly.

Roy who saw it became anxious to his future wife and immediately hugged her and showered Leah's cheeks with a kiss.

"Aahhhh! Uhh! Uhh! What is Roy doing?! Off!" the Leah protest that banged Roy's arm and tried to get away from him.

Satisfied Roy has vented his anxiety laughs amusedly, "Remember, if you're like this again I'll do this to you" Roy laughed.

"This is unfair! Lookie! My appearance is a mess. What do people say later?" said Leah.

"Can stay tidied up. Haha. Here, my dear. Help me tidy up," Roy.

Leah who pouted certainly so no longer, even so embarrassed blushed, "Right neat, Mas. It's gonna be assumed our guy's done something."

"Hm? It's true, we just had a little chat, hahaha. Aww!" Roy felt amused because Leah again pinched his waist.

"Tsk!" leah Process.

"Oh my goodness, my future wife seems to be very fierce hahaha," seduced Roy while hugging Leah like a child.

They re-entered the room after tidying up Leah's appearance and mingling with the guests.

Somewhere else. Sherry who was shocked half-dead at the announcement could not hide her anger and disappointment, especially when he saw the figure of Leah who of course people must know that the girl was far under Roy.

Sherry who rushed to leave the hall was quickly followed by Hatori.

Arriving outside Hatori was unable to find where his boss' daughter was. But his gaze stopped in the garden beside the hall where the light was not too bright.

Hatori saw it, then approached Sherry who was sitting on a park bench with her hands squeezing lilies there until they were shapeless.

Sherry wanted to cry but she was also angry. He felt his chest hot to the point of going up to the crown.

"Drink," said Hatori giving her a glass of water but Sherry's hand was too shaky to hold it herself.

Hatori put the glass down. And kneel before Sherry.

"Do you like it so much that it needs to be this angry? You've even seen for yourself there's not the slightest love in his eyes for you. There will be nothing you can find from her" Hatori said calmly.

"Maybe the day I'll talk more than usual. So listen. I'll stop working as the President's secretary next week. And my resignation letter has also been received" Hatori said.

Sherry was surprised to hear the words of the man who had been her backrest.

"Why? You even want to get away from me. Huh! Maybe I was destined to live like this" said Sherry, who began to cry.

"No. Instead I want to continue with you so I must stop being a subordinate to the President," said Hatori.

Sherry's cry stopped, she looked at Hatori's face not understanding.

"I didn't expect it, but (Hatori grabbed Sherry's hand and put it on her chest) now I hope you can see me" Hatori said.

Sherry still can't believe what Hatori told her. He knew all along he was after Roy in order to decide his own life. And ignore the feelings of the man who has always been there for her, all those years.

"I'll go back inside to get permission to take you home, wait here" said Hatori, who left Sherry alone in the park.

Soon Hatori comes out and takes Sherry home.

During the trip Sherry just fell silent. Hatori also respects whatever decision Sherry will give for their relationship in the future.

Watanabe Residence.

Sherry's still not out of the car. And they were both still locked in silence.

"I will always be there for you, come at any time" said Hatori who then got out of the car and opened the door for Sherry. Sherry who had been reluctant to go down began to calm her heart out of the car. With shaky steps he left Hatori.

Just two steps he walked but Sherry stopped, "Thank you," that's all Sherry said before she stepped back.
