Ray sat on one of the sofas in his room. The man who had entered middle age looked patiently waiting for the wife who was still standing in front of the mirror of their room.

"Is it not finished yet?" Ray asked as he glanced at the wall clock displayed in the room.

"A little while." Answer Ana.

Heard that answer again. Ray took his breath back. In his heart were many endless rants that he addressed to his wife.

"Don't tease me. Already, come on quick, I'm done." Ana. After that he passed by Ray and walked out of the room.

"Alright, up to here our lecture material today. If you have anything to ask, please send your questions by email. I'll answer your questions as long as they're logical and relate to my course material."

"Good professor."

"Then I'll see you at the lecture next week." Said professor Prim who then left his class.

After seeing the professor leave. Rose stood up straight from her chair. He looked at his cell phone. There was no sign of anyone contacting him. In fact, Yana has not been seen since this morning.

"That's the guy. She's the girl that was with Yuan this morning." The whispers from some of the people outside the classroom were clearly heard in Rose's ears.

And again, when Rose stepped out of the classroom. There were a lot of people gathered around the class. They seemed to notice every step of Rose's foot.

Rose was silent, her hand holding her cheek that was hit by the woman's slap. He stared at everyone in sight looking at him with many expressions. There were pity, but there were also those who were happy to see him being bullied like that.

"What's wrong if me and Yuan are close? Why are you getting angry?" Ask Rose.

But unfortunately, his intention was stopped by a man who was at the root of the problem at the moment.

"Yes." Rose muttered as Yuan's figure seemed to prevent Rema's hand from nearly slapping her face again.

"If you dare to slap her again. Then, I won't hesitate to break your hand right now." Yuan.

"No Yuan, you misunderstood. I didn't mean to slap her for no reason. I— I'm just teaching him a lesson for his disrespectful behavior." Resist Rema.

At a glance, Yuan turned his head back, looking at the still faithful Rose looking at him in silence. But then, the girl seemed to lower her head as Yuan turned towards her.

"Then tell me, what's wrong?" Ask Yuan.

"So?" Asked Yuan, again.

"So— I can't let a guy like him keep teasing you. Therefore, I had to get my hands dirty by slapping him in the face." Said Rema.

"So, what's the deal with you?! Who told you to slap him?!"

"Eh? Yuan— you didn't mean to defend him, did you?" Ask Rema.

Yuan released Rema's hand from his grasp. The man then turned around and walked up to Rose who was still silent in her place earlier.

Then, a further action from Yuan made everyone there seem to be struggling. They all looked surprised by Yuan's attitude towards Rose. The thing was, the man suddenly hugged Rose's waist from the side.

"Hear everything. From this moment, this minute, this hour and today! You guys should remember, no one can bother Rose, except my—. If anyone dares to bother him, no matter which family he is from or which, I make sure his life will not be peaceful after that." Yuan is making his official announcement.

"Yuan, what are you saying? You must be just kidding, right? Why do you care so much about that girl?" Ask Rema.

After putting that sentence. Yuan instantly pulled Rose's hand away from the crowd.

On the other hand, the three good friends of Yuan and Nana who had come into the fray were visibly distrustful of Yuan's current self. The man was like Yuan in another version. He became a different Yuan than before.

"Did he eat wrong?" Julian asked who it was aimed at.

"I think his brain's a little shortened because it's raining this morning." Sahut Kin's.

"What are you saying? He's in love." Said Kai who made both his friends and Nana immediately turned to him.

"What did you say?" Julian and Kin asked simultaneously.

"You didn't hear what I said? Are you deaf?" Kai said deliberately following Yuan style. After that, he turned towards Nana.

"Let's go home." Said Kai who was replied with a nod by Nana.

"Fucking kai." Umpat Kin's.

"Yuan, stop pulling my hand. Where do you want to take me? Isn't this the way to the parking lot?" Said Rose.

"If you know, why ask. Just shut up and don't waste my time."

"Then from that, let me go. I— "

"Can't you just shut up and obey?! Besides, I saved you. But until now I haven't heard that word of thanks come out of your mouth." Yuan said as he stopped his steps.

"Thank you. Haven't you? Then let go of my hand. It's late in the afternoon, I can miss the last bus." Pinta Rose's.

"This is how you thank me? Can't you be more sincere?! I won't let you go until you thank me properly." Yuan Saying.

Rose breathed her breath. The girl momentarily looked at Yuan. Anxiety towards that man would never last long. Just how much he was annoyed at Yuan, everything would fade away when he saw the cold face of the man.

"Thank you, Yuan." Rose said as she flashed a genuine smile.

"Is that enough? Can I go now?" Ask Rose.

Yuan silent. The man looked like he was analyzing something.

"Actually— is not enough. Because, today there's been so much good that you got from me. Because I am a generous person. So, I guess that's enough. It's just, I'm not gonna let you go." Yuan.

"Why are you so sneaky? You said if I thanked you properly, you'd let me go. But now, you still want to hold me back. Please Yuan, I have to leave right now. Otherwise, I could be late for work."

"I'll drive you." Yuan said as he pulled Rose's hand back.

"Yuan, please stop messing around. I'm being serious."

"I'm serious too. You think I'm the kind of guy who likes to play around? Come on quickly in! I'll take you to my mom's restaurant." Yuan opened the car door for Rose.

Rose seemed silent for a moment. He silently watched Yuan who was also staring at him.

"Let's go in. Don't waste time." Yuan Saying.

Rose took her breath. He returned and obeyed the man's words. Rose finally got into Yuan's car.
