The Heart in the Morning

"Sin." Yohan calls Nana who is about to get out of the house to go to campus.

"Yes?" Nana turned her head, seeing her stepfather and her sister walking closer to her.

"Let's go with us to campus." Yohan said, making Nana silent for a moment, he stared at the phone he was holding for quite a while, Alex sent him a short message, as usual, Alex would pick him up and drive him to campus.

But when Yohan suddenly invites him to set out together, he is in a difficult position, let alone last night's events still make his heart burn.

Long Yohan looked at Nana who was just silent, the middle-aged man then walked up to her stepdaughter.

"Daisy, get your sister in the car." Rachel's orders.

"Yes." Yeah." Her speech.

"But bu—" Nana looked at her mother with a pleading gaze, I don't know what she wanted, but Rachel understood the contents of her child's mind. Nana wants to go with Alex.

"Get in the car with Daisy, hurry up Nana." Rachel said.

"Sorry." Nana said without a sound, she said it just by the movement of her lips, but Alex understood with the gesture.

Alex nodded towards Nana with a faint smile, as if saying it was okay.

"Go from here." Yohan said before she finally passed from Alex and walked to her car.

Nana stepped lethargicly following Daisy who was in front of her. The girl occasionally looked back, seeing her real father still standing in place, Nana's heart felt sorry for her biological father.

"You're a trouble maker." Daisy said as they got into the car.

Nana glances at her father's other sister, she has absolutely no intention to reply to the insinuations from Daisy, Nana is just silent, her mind is now only filled about her biological father. Nana felt this was unfair to her and her father. They were forced to be separated from each other.

"You should be grateful that my father took care of you when you were a child, but now you want to ignore my father just because a middle-aged man is not responsible for it." Daisy was still chattering in her satirical tone.

Nana looked at her sister, a sharp look she gave Daisy, making her sister look clumsy and taking her eyes off Nana.

"Who do you mean by that irresponsible middle-aged man? He is my father, not an irresponsible middle-aged man! Remember Daisy, you can insult me or insinuate me as you please, but never once have those bad words about my real father come out of your mouth! You understand what I say, right? I'm not kidding." Nana said, after saying that she turned her eyes out the window.

Before long, his stepfather and mother got into the car, increasingly making a thick silence between them.

"After you finish your class today, wait for mom in the lecturer room, we'll go home together." Rachel.

"Is mom holding me back?!" Nana asked, subconsciously she used a tone that sounded slightly elevated.

"Nana, take care of your behavior to your own mother." Yohan warned her stepson.

I don't understand what they're thinking, for sure, I hate this situation. — Inner Nana.

"I'm going home with my friend." Nana said after keeping quiet for a while.

"Friends? You mean Brother Yuan? Didn't she leave the house and haven't come back until now?" Ask Daisy.

Nana is silent and doesn't want to answer the questions that come out of Daisy's mouth. He was still upset that Daisy had indirectly offended his biological father.

"Don't make excuses, you go home with mom." Rachel said.

Forgive my dear mother, I didn't mean to behave like this. I just don't want our family to be ruined because of your attitude of putting too much affection on your real father. Sorry Nana, sorry. You can hate mom, but just so you know, this is all for your good and the good of our family. — Inner Rachel.

Yuan looked at Rose who had entered the bus between the cities, smiling and returning Rose's hand.

"Be careful." Yuan Mumbled.

The bus then goes on its way, heading to the destination city. After a night of failing to leave because he chose to listen to Yuan's advice, this morning Rose was finally able to go to the city where her mother now lives.
