The Debt Redeemer
23. Little Emotional

"You know, I really miss your father." Reveal George with great interest.

"When you know, he always says I'm a heartless man. But look now, his sudden disappearance has made half of me disappear."

There was not a single tear spilling over George's eyes.

"Uncle," Although unable to see, Milla could feel the man's pain.

"Ah, stupid me. I forgot to offer you a drink."

George got up from his seat and walked to the small kitchen not far from there. Sometimes he rubbed his eyes.

"Father proud of you" said Milla, stopping George's steps.

"He always told me about you being cunning and heartless." Connect Milla.

"Hahaha, I'm sure he'll say that." Reply George who started concocting a tea for Milla.

"But dad always said you were a good person at the end of every story about you."

George could only smile at Milla's story. He knew his best friend would tell someone like that.

George then brought the tea and gave it to Milla.

"I think your father was a good liar." Reveal George.

Both laughed afterwards.

"Ah, every time I see you I always feel like I'm seeing the shadow of your father and mother at the same time." It was George who observed Milla drinking her homemade tea.

"When you were a kid, you were always afraid to see me. You know what you're yelling at me?"

Milla shook her head.

"You run to your mother and say, "Mom there's a naughty om in there!." Then, your mama will just smile and pinch your cheeks and start advising you. But your father will be different. He'll come up from behind and pat me on the back, "What are you doing with my son, huh?"" George in his memory.

Milla could only smile because she did not remember the incident because she was a child.

"Everything quickly passes. Now you've never been afraid of me again. You've grown up and grown beautiful just like your mother,"

Milla smiled back. The past stories of Uncle George always make him happy. It felt like I was really in that moment. However, the sound of sobs could be heard in Milla's ear.

A hand catches Milla's hand.

"Sorry, Milla. I'm really sorry. Ak, me, your uncle, this," George's sobbing became more and more.

"Uncle why? Uncle's fine, right? Why apologize so suddenly." Milla who did not understand what happened instead panicked.

George simply dissolved in his tears while tightly grasping Milla's hand. Milla doesn't know what to do. Unconsciously he also got carried away. Her tears began to flow when she heard George crying.

George also nodded. He quickly wiped his tears.

"Ma, sorry-sorry. Because your uncle got carried away." George tried to stay strong. He didn't want Milla to be sad with him.

George wiped Milla's tears with his handkerchief.

"Thank you, uncle." replied Milla.

George loosened his tie a little.

"So, that guy didn't do anything to you, did he?" Ask George seriously.

"Who? The deca?" Tanya Milla made sure.

"Yes. He didn't do anything to you, did he? You don't have to be afraid. If he dares to report it to me. I'm gonna make him sleepless for weeks."

From the pressure of her voice, Milla realized that her uncle was being serious.

"I don't think that's necessary. In accordance with uncle's advice, he followed the rules that I made well."

"Ah, thank goodness then. I'm sure he won't dare."

George's words seemed to be stuck.

"Why else uncle?" Tanya Milla is aware that George seems to be holding something back.

George took a long breath.

"I'm sorry I couldn't marry you to my son." Bright George.
