Wenie was still unconscious in the emergency room, she appeared to be lying weakly with an infusion tube that drained clear fluid through a vein in the back of her left hand.
Eri entered after being invited by a male nurse who helped take care of him, while Frans also just finished taking care of the administration and was talking to the doctor who was handling it.
"How did it go, Ram ... Is there anything dangerous?" frans asked as soon as Dr. Ramdan walked out from behind the curtain.
"Just tired and lacking in nutrition, Frans. Soon enough, I gave him an infusion" replied Dr. Ramdan calmly.
"Yes God! Less nutrition what do you mean? Huh, really that kid ..." Frans grumbled a little annoyed.
"It looks like he is lacking rest and has not eaten, so it can drop like that" analysis doctor Ramdan. "His blood pressure and blood sugar are also very low" he added.
Frans nodded in understanding with the explanation of his professional friend, Ramdan only two years younger than him. The tall man looked dignified in his clean white medical coat.
"Then have you prescribed him some medicine or some vitamins?" ask Frans.
"Of course, I wrote the recipe. Later you can take it in the pharmacy," said Dr. Ramdan while handing over a paper containing a prescription drug.
"Alright .. thanks, Ram. Now let me see him go inside" Frans said.
"Wait a minute, Frans," Ramdan's doctor restrained his arm. "Do you know that girl? She's ready, hm?" tanyanya.
Frans smiled wryly. "You want to know ..."
"Is she the girl you told me about the other day?" doctor Ramdan's eyes sparkled. "Beautiful, too, how about a smile, huh?"
Frans laughed in response. "You'll find out later," and then he stopped once more and left Ramdan's doctor still in place.
The doctor smiled in surprise at Frans' attitude which was somewhat other than usual.
In his work environment, in any hospital where the man had served, Frans was known as a person who maintained good manners but was always serious so as to cause a cold impression. But this time Ramdan found a new side to Frans.
Inside the room, Eri was sitting on a chair at the side of the gurney, waiting for Wenie to grow patiently. He clasped his right arm with worry emanating clearly from the look on his face. He was unaware of Frans' arrival until the man stood opposite him.
"Not conscious yet, are you?" ask Frans slowly.
"No, doc. Why so long, huh? It's been almost half an hour since he fainted ..." Eri asked back.
"Doctor Ramdan said he lacked rest and fatigue, so let him rest now" Frans replied in a soft voice. "Oh yeah, Rahma's mom, what time did she come?"
Eri saw the clock on his phone, "It should be coming soon, Doc."
Frans nodded in understanding, "Alright, please take care of Wenie for a moment, huh. I'm going to take the medicine to the pharmacy on the other end."
Eri just assented and then turned around again while stroking Wenie's arm, while Frans who had almost exited the door rushed back to her again.
"Sorry, I almost forgot. What do you want to order, miss? You guys haven't had dinner yet, have you? Let me buy it later," Frans said.
"Ehm, don't bother, Doc. I will eat at home. The doctor cleared the medicine for Wenie just yet," Eri refused subtly.
"Don't hesitate, you must be hungry. Just say it, so you don't have to go anywhere until Rahma's mom comes," Frans said a little forcefully.
Eri seemed to think for a moment. "Don't really take this, Doc?"
Frans shook his head for sure.
"Then I order fried rice, the eggs are separated, yes .." he said shyly.
"Okay, wait a minute. If there's anything, let me know quickly. You're holding Wenie's phone, right?" ask Frans.
"Good, Doc. Her phone was in the bag, really," Eri replied as she patted Wenie's bag in her lap.
Without many more words Frans left the two at a quick pace. He wanted to immediately go take the medicine as well as buy food for the three of them and return as soon as possible. Tucked into such a pressing worry in his heart, yet he had to remain calm at this moment.
His steps came to a halt as he just walked out of the pharmacy room, someone called him from the car park. Apparently Rahma's mother had just arrived, she had come with two of Wenie's boarding friends. They approached in haste.
"Doctor Frans!" call Ms Rahma, her face a little panicked. "How's Wenie doing, Doc?"
"Bu Rahma," Frans greeted him and nodded at the other two. "She's fine and is still in the ER room"
"No, Ma. If in the next few hours his health has not recovered then he will be transferred to the inpatient room" explained Frans.
"Please show me the room, Doc," said Ms. Rahma.
"Let's follow me ..."
After passing through the ER door the middle-aged woman immediately rushed at Wenie, she was so anxious when she heard that the girl had fainted on the street.
Frans placed the newly redeemed medicine on the nightstand and accompanied Rahma Mom briefly before leaving to continue her original goal.
Whispers between Wenie's two boarding friends begin to sound as Frans leaves them. Both of them were amazed at the figure of the young doctor who they thought was very handsome and charismatic.
Ms. Rahma was busy talking to Eri, so she ignored the excitement of the two girls.
The next few minutes Wenie's eyes began to blink, slowly she gathered her consciousness. He adjusted his eyes to the bright light of the room lamp while breathing tired.
"You're conscious, baby," said Ms. Rahma happily, squeezing Wenie's palm gently.
His friends immediately focused their attention and were grateful with Wenie's regained consciousness. Alternately they greeted Wenie who was still staring weakly, tried to recognize them one by one then started to smile small.
"Where am I? It feels really weak .." lamented Wenie lirih, he squinted at glare.
"You're in the hospital, baby. Doctors Frans and Eri brought you here" replied Rahma softly. "Rest, don't get up first" he held Wenie's shoulder who wanted to get up.
Now Wenie felt her throat slightly dry. "Ri, please give me a drink, thirsty ..."
"Oh, this .. drink slowly, Wen," replied Eri sprightly. He pulled out a glass of mineral water and guided Wenie patiently.
"What time is it, Ri?" wenie asked as she finished her drink.
"It's only eight o'clock at night, Wen. Why?" sahut Eri while asking back.
Wenie shook her head slowly, she still felt her head twisting slightly. "Mom's been here?" ask her to Rahma's mother.
"Just now, baby. Fortunately Anastasia and Iin were at home when Eri called, so I was there to accompany her here" explained Rahma's mother. Wenie nodded in gratitude to all of them.
Fifteen minutes later Frans returned with two medium-sized plastics, one containing snacks and soft drinks for Rahma's mother and Wenie's boarding friends. Then the other one contains a complete chicken porridge box, a packet of Padang rice for himself, and a packet of fried rice ordered by Eri.
Frans was relieved to find Wenie had regained her senses and quickened her steps closer. He handed over a plastic containing their dinner to Eri and placed the other one on the bed so that it could be reached by the incoming buskers.
"How are you feeling now? Is it better?" ask Frans softly.
Wenie nodded weakly. "It's been quiet, Mas. Just a little dizzy."
"Then you eat first, huh? I just bought chicken porridge," Frans said taking the porridge box from the bag.
"Later on, Mas. I have no taste yet," Wenie refused hoarsely.
"But you haven't eaten anything all day, Wen," Frans argued. "You have to eat now, your body needs nutrients. After that take vitamins and medicine to quickly recover," Frans cerocos, he did not try to cover his worries.
But basic Wenie, she still refused for the same reason. Wenie's boarding friends just looked at each other watching the conversation of the two that sounded a little friendly in their ears.
Ms. Rahma and Eri were calm as if not shocked anymore, they also coaxed Wenie into wanting to eat even a little.
Wenie finally succumbed to Frans' half-threatening persuasion that she would be admitted to this hospital and not allowed to go home until she was completely healed.
Wenie did not like to stay in the hospital for long, especially as a patient. So he was forced to eat his porridge by being fed by the mother.
But Wenie wanted to stop eating when the chicken porridge had just been used up by half a portion. Without forcing again, Rahma agreed and Frans prepared to drink the medicine within the next ten minutes.
He served the girl patiently and painstakingly, making the patrons feel good to see her. Wenie was with the right person, as they thought.
After Wenie finished taking the medicine and vitamins, Ramdan's doctor came to control her condition. Assessing the health of his patients who have not been completely stable he suggested that Wenie immediately move to the inpatient room.
Hearing that, Rahma gave up completely to the doctor to give the best for Wenie. Then Rahma and her friends came home. Grateful the cost mother was willing to give a ride for Eri to go home.
Only Frans and Wenie live there. He is waiting to be transferred to the available treatment room. Unbeknownst to her, Frans tells Ramdan's doctor that Wenie will be put in a VIP room so she can rest comfortably.
