The car stopped in the courtyard of a burger restaurant that looked rather quiet, only a few benches filled with people who were dine in.
With the current situation, most people enjoy fast food at home with online delivery systems, take away, or drive thru.
Entering the restaurant, Frans headed straight for the food ordering section, while Wenie chose a seat for them.
Wenie took the sofa by the side of the window so that she could look out freely as was the favorite position of almost everyone.
Frans came with a tray of two servings of food and two glasses of cold drinks that looked refreshing.
Their dinner menu is currently just a snack according to Wenie who feels unsteady if not eating rice. But still he did not refuse to eat it, especially if he was with Frans as he is now.
"Let's eat, Wen. I've been hungry since .." get Frans excited.
"Yes, eat, Mas. Sorry yes, if it was late in the road because of my acne first," jelly Wenie rather feel guilty.
"It's easy, it's nothing" Frans replied. "But the next time if someone is sick it is quickly treated, do not wait badly," advised Frans softly.
"Yes, Mas. It was just a nimbul, I guess. You see, I don't think there is yet" Wenie murmured while remembering.
Frans listened while sucking his ice cola, while Wenie grabbed her fries.
"Means you should always be ready for anti-ministerial cream if at any time spotty again" said Frans.
"No need, Mom. I'm rarely spotty, just now," elak Wenie was timid.
Frans chuckled, both of them enjoying the meal in a pleasant casual chat.
The opportunity to just eat together like this cannot always be done Frans who is always busy with his work, so he does not want to quickly end it.
"Oh yeah, I just got home from the hospital, huh?" wenie asked to shift the issue of her embarrassing acne.
"Yes. Intentionally I want to go through your workplace, so you can invite you to eat," replied Frans honestly.
"But it's a long time, right? This is the new dinner clock, " Wenie said quickly, she glanced at the digital clock on the wall that showed the number 20.15
"Luckily, I no longer participate in the diet program, because I might not want to be invited to dinner," continued Wenie while chewing potatoes.
"What is the diet doing? You are ideal, really. Do not like to look for disease, just keep your health well by eating enough," Frans advises while chewing his food.
Wenie chuckled softly, "But now we are eating junk food you know, Mas ..."
"Lho, didn't I say healthy food? I said eat enough," rattled Frans with a funny mimic.
"Oalaah, the doctor likes to ngeles as well huha," Wenie patted her own eel.
He laughed and heard the answer until he had to shut his mouth to prevent the chewing of his fries from jumping out. Frans was happy to see the scene before him, the girl could not help but be amused by his trivial jokes.
Wenie grabbed the drink glass to ease the laughter, she sucked slowly while holding back a smile.
Wenie did not expect that the doctor's humorous nature brought a happy mood in her heart.
"Ehm, um ..." Wenie cleared a small puff to clear her throat from the rest of the laughter, Frans stumped a smile.
"Different, doc, eat enough with a healthy meal?" asked Wenie jahil.
"Yes different, dong. If healthy food qualifies four healthy five perfect," Frans replied in a smile.
"Then what is this?" asked Wenie enthusiastically.
"Food like gini is just enough to fill the stomach in a narrow time."
"uh? What kind of answer was it .." Wenie chuckled, Frans stared unblinkingly as he continued to chew his burger.
Frans and Wenie finished the meal in an instant until a waiter delivered a dessert of chocolate pudding and strawberry ice cream, two small portions each.
Wenie seemed intrigued to see the closing menu that looked tempting. Frans had set aside a tray filled with their food marks before the waiter exchanged them for a tray filled with food.
"Thank you very much, Mom."
"Together, Wen. I'm the one who should thank you for accompanying me to eat."
Wenie blushed. "Yes, Mum."
"Oh yeah, where are you going? Shall we watch first or what?" ask Frans.
"No, ah. Next time if you want to watch. Later tonight I go home, Mas," said Wenie.
Frans seemed to think. "Hmm, that's right. Where do we go, when we go home?"
"Where do you want to go, man? Just so that I'm okay last night" Wenie replied.
"If you watch it, it can be up to two hours," Wenie added as she scooped her pudding.
"Yes, anyway. Yes already, we spent the dessert first, we went for a walk," Frans scooped his pudding as well while staring at Wenie silently.
Finally the dessert session finished the next ten minutes. The day was getting night, Frans drove the car at medium speed, planning to invite Wenie just around the city to just waste time.
A chat from Iin went into Wenie's phone, reminding her of her order dimsum and softdrink.
'Wen, don't forget the dimsum huh?'
"Geez, almost forgot!" peekik Wenie quietly.
"Why?" ask Frans.
"OK, which way from here? You just show me the way."
"From the intersection of the red light ahead we turn left, Mas. The cafe's not far from there."
"Oh, that's next to the motorcycle repair shop, huh?" ask Frans.
"Rubber. Well that's you know, Mommy."
"Know, dong. I used to go there once for motor chain service, fitting a sudden error on the road."
"Chain motor? Since when do you like riding a bike?" asked Wenie astonished.
Frans smiled in response to Wenie's astonishment, not yet willing to answer. He stopped the car in the cafe dimsum parking lot.
"At hand. Want me to accompany or .." said Frans.
"Ah, wait a minute, Mas. Let me go in, it won't take long" Wenie replied.
"wait. You brought the money, Wen?" asked Frans to stop Wenie.
"Bring dong. Just relax, Mas," he patted his sling bag, then got out of the car.
Frans waited for ten minutes, and Wenie immediately returned with three boxes of dimsum in two separate plastics.
"Eh, has Wen?" frans asked as Wenie walked in.
"It has. Yuk, we go home ... Oh yeah, it's for you one, Mom. You know," Wenie held out a pack to him.
Frans shook his head slowly. "Thank you, you eat. I'm still full, Wen."
"Take it later if Mas has arrived home," persuaded Wenie to Frans to accept it.
"Hmm, okay. Where are you then?" ask Frans.
"There's," Wenie held up one plastic box containing two boxes, Frans gave a small nod while receiving her share.
The car left the cafe. Frans turned on the radio which broadcast Indonesian hits to warm the atmosphere.
And apparently Wenie also likes it, it feels clop and fun. Especially when listening to Frans singing one of the popular songs from young Afghan singers.
Wenie to the point of nodding her head enjoying Frans' voice that was a bit hoarse wet when kicking. When one song finished being sung spontaneously Wenie clapped in joy while praising her in admiration.
"Well, I didn't expect it! The doctor's voice is okay" cried Wenie.
Frans smiled wryly. "Ah, it's normal, Wen."
"Yes, seriously ... Your voice is so good. Don't-don't you used to be a band boy, did you?" investigate Wenie curious.
"I can only sing songs that I like" Frans replied with a smile.
Wenie who knew that felt good in her heart. Little by little he could recognize the figure of this handsome man, Wenie secretly felt her level of admiration rise many fold.
It did not feel the car had led to the housing complex where Wenie lived, the boarding house of Bu Rahma.
The clock has shown at 21:40 at this time, Frans drove Wenie to the house to meet the boarding mother who was still watching tv with Iin.
After chatting for a while to Ms. Rahma, Frans came home because it was night. He left the house accompanied by Wenie who drove up the fence.
In his heart Frans felt it was hard to leave the girl, but he had to beat his ego to maintain ethics.
There's still another time, I won't stop here, he thought, calming down.
Just before exiting the fence Frans twisted his body, surprising Wenie who was a step behind him until they almost collided.
Wenie suddenly clumsy. "Why stop all of a sudden?"
"Eh, sorry. Anyway why do you have to walk behind me so, Wen?" Frans asked back, he was shocked too.
"It's okay, anyway," Wenie grinned.
Without talking again Frans immediately grabbed the two arms of the little girl in front of him and squeezed his fingers slowly. Wenie was stunned by the making, she had no power to dodge.
Frans wants to take a minute. "You're fine at home. Actually I don't want to go home yet, but it's not good for Ms. Rahma. For your sake, too, let no one judge you that you are not."
Wenie gasped, Frans took a breath as she continued, "If something is bothering you or you need anything quickly contact me huh, Wen. Don't hesitate ..."
Wenie was confused as to what to answer, her mind as if it were a stupid child. "Yes, Mum ..."
Only one agreed sentence that he was able to say, he felt surprised and happy to hear sweet words from the lips of the handsome doctor.
Then without warning Frans kissed briefly his forehead with a little down. "I wish we could be closer than this" Frans whispered in Wenie's ear.
Wenie closed her eyes for a moment and immediately blushed in embarrassment upon awakening. He nodded slowly while biting his lips, Frans was a bit annoyed to see it.
Then he pinched Wenie's cheek anxiously, "It's yes, I went home first ..."
"Yes. Be careful on the road, Mas," Wenie replied as she waved her hand.
"Of course, sweet girl. Beautiful dream yes," said Frans before turning away.
Wenie was still waving at Frans's car that started speeding away leaving her pecking on the spot.
Unbeknownst to him Iin saw all of it from behind the curtains of the living room, feeling a little envious of his friend's luck. Ms. Rahma realized that but she had not reacted, only monitoring the development of her boarding children in silence.
