Steven's face froze.

The directors also froze in place. One of the directors who sat closest to the receipt decided to take a peek at the receipt, to find that they all had Ethan's name clearly on them!

How did this happen?

She has married into a family and has to rely on them for food and shelter. It was already not bad if he had food to eat, so how could he have so much money?

"Diane must have transferred the money to you and used your name to buy all this!" shouted one of the directors.

Ethan slapped his face. "Are you an idiot? Or do you think everyone is one?"

It's easy to check something like that. Which idiot would do this?

"You…"

The director held her cheek, angry that Ethan actually slapped her.

"CEO Palmer, I said earlier that I've recorded all the things you said earlier. So we'll hire a lawyer and sue you for slander. See you in court."

Steven's face turned unpleasant. He didn't expect things to be like that.

He has no proof of anything he says. He only heard about these things from Archie.

He knows Diane and her family very well. They couldn't possibly have had that kind of money, so the only explanation was that he was in cahoots with Tom Foster, or that he must have embezzled him from the company.

Who needs proof to prove this?

But now Ethan has proof that this money belongs to him. But how did this happen?

He finds it hard to believe that a homeless kid like Ethan would have so much money.

Suddenly his face paled. Ethan had given Tom Foster half the bread back then and saved Tom Foster's life. Can Tom Foster give Ethan this money as a token of gratitude?

His face looks worse now. He doesn't manage to humiliate Diane, and now Ethan will bring them to justice.

"Diane, does all this money really belong to Ethan?" Steven inevitably asked with gritted teeth.

"Yes." Yeah."

Dian smiled coldly.

All of this was bought with Ethan's money. "CEO Palmer, are you very disappointed that all this money is not from me embezzling the company's funds?"

Stevan's face flushed.

"Hmph! I don't care if it's your money or this bum's money, it doesn't matter!"

He kept shouting, "You've leaked company secrets so the Palmer Group can't trust you anymore. The Chairman has sent out instructions to fire you, so from today onwards, all projects under the Palmer Group will have nothing to do with you!"

This is to force the project back from Diane's hands.

"CEO Palmer, you're wrong again."

Ethan did not wait for Diane to say anything before continuing, "Today, Diane is here to resign."

"It's not that your company fired Diane, your small company isn't worthy of us."

Ethan glanced at the directors and continued calmly, "I mean, really, my wife is an amazing woman, but she has to work with a bunch of idiots here, a complete waste of her talent."

Ethan is no longer polite. "About Diane-led project. What does this have to do with the Palmer Group?"

Steven was so angry that he laughed out loud. "It belongs to the Palmer family!"

"Oh really?"

Ethan smiled cunningly. "Is that what the contract says?"

Steven's heart suddenly fell and he asked the legal department to complete the contract. The contract states clearly that one party is Tom Foster's company, but the other is Diane. There are many clauses that state clearly that the only person involved in this whole project is Diane, and has nothing to do with the Palmer Group.

The land and partners in the project are all declared to have an agreement only with Diane. Each step was managed and handled by Diane herself. All traces of the project only have connections to Diane alone.

"What ... what happened?"

Steven's gone crazy. How did the contract become like this?

Director of the legal department as pale as Steven. He firmly believed that the contract he agreed to did not look like this.
