The Billionaire God of War

The Billionaire God of War
Chapter 1 An Unexpected Marriage

Chapter 1

Greencliff City, International Airport.

"Speed up!"

"Faster!"

Several dozen men in black suits rushed out from the exit, each with a serious face, as if they were going to fight a formidable enemy.

All the passengers at the airport quickly made way for them, not knowing who caused such a commotion.

The leader of the man in the suit frowned deeply, then suddenly turned around and left as if he had suddenly thought of something.

Soon they reached the sidewalk outside the airport.

Ethan Hunt was sitting on a long bench, slowly exhaling cigarette smoke from his mouth.

"Master wishes you could come back, he misses you so much," the leader respectfully spoke to Ethan as he stood about five steps behind him.

In front of others, this leader had a high standing, and no one dared to go against him.

But in front of this young man, he felt extremely low!

"He misses me?"

Ethan turned around a little and there was a grin on his face. "Did he miss my influence? Or my money?"

If someone else said something like that, this leader would hate him. How could the rich and powerful Hunt family of Makrin City ever covet the power and money of others?

But the man in front of him was different.

He is the sole heir to the Hunt family!

What made this leader even more shocked was that he was known as the God of Eastern War, with incredible abilities and incredible wealth!

"When he kicked me out of the family and married that vixen fifteen years ago, Ethan was dead."

Ethan breathes his last smoke, "Ethan Hunt now has nothing to do with the Hunt family in Makrin City."

He got up to leave.

"Don't send anyone after me again. Otherwise, I will kill every person you send!"

His terrifying murderous aura immediately enveloped the leader.

The leader could only loosen his clenched fists after he saw Ethan disappear into the distance.

His back was already soaked with sweat.

He's actually nervous in front of Ethan.

There's a car ready in the airport parking lot.

Ethan jumps in and calls right away.

"Winston, have you arranged everything?"

A voice came from the other side.

"Give me the address."

Ethan hangs up. He held a crinkled sweet wrap in his hand and his mind floated back to fifteen years ago.

He was fifteen years old, banished from the hunting house and roaming the streets.

She is cold and hungry when a modestly dressed little girl gives her only sweetness to Ethan.

After that he was taken away by a mysterious person.

When he first appeared, the entire world shook!

Three years later, he was given the name, God of War of the East. He was only eighteen at the time!

Twelve years have passed. He has the power of a god and can shock the world, but Ethan chooses to return secretly.

He will never forget that little girl.

He could not forget those pure eyes.

He could not forget that kind face.

Ethan kept the candy wrapper carefully and took a deep breath.

If someone he knew saw this, they would be shocked. A great God of War can feel nervous as well?

"I'm back."

The car came out of the parking lot.

Meanwhile, at the Fairmont Hotel in Greencliff!

It really lives here.

The famous Palmer family in Greencliff received a proposal from a man to find the best man to marry their granddaughter, DianePalmer, and this attracted a lot of attention.

Her mother, April, stood to one side, her face redder with anger.

"William, they're definitely no good! If you're still a boy, go and reject your father!"

She screamed, "You mean you're gonna see them destroy your daughter's happiness?"

What nonsense is this about finding a good husband? It's bullshit!

April doesn't believe they're so good.

The Palmers started out as a small shop, and within fifteen years, they had grown and become a third-rate wealthy family in Greencliff. The Palmer family head, Gerald, is an example of a successful entrepreneur who started from scratch.

Gerald had three sons: Steven, Nicolas and William.

Steven had taken over most of the Palmer family business, Nicolas was responsible for expanding the business in a different city. But William had lost the use of both his legs in an accident, so he could only rest at home and be looked down upon.

Steven and Nicolas have conspired to persuade Gerald to agree to find a husband for William's daughter, and they even guarantee that they will find a very nice man for Diane.

And in the end?

It doesn't matter that all candidates are nobody. One of them was even older than ten-year-old Diane, and had a history of mental illness!

It's not at all finding a good husband for Diane. It's destroying!

William's face was all red. He was as angry as his wife, but he did not dare to go against his father's wishes.

He knows Gerald's temperament – he always makes the final decision. No one in the Palmer family could oppose what he wanted to do.

"He's Diane's grandfather, so he won't do anything bad to her."

After thinking for so long, William shyly took these words out of his mouth.

April will soon faint from anger. He pointed his finger at William, crying as he shouted, "How do I marry a weakling like you!"

He knew that William was a filial son and had always been very obedient to Gerald. After becoming disfigured, he became weaker and did not dare to fight Gerald at all.

But regardless of which man she chose for Diane as the husband to marry into the family, this matter would still destroy Diane!

Their families will become Greencliff's laughingstock!

April sobbed miserably as she shouted at William, Diane cried softly, while William could only grip her numb thigh, which she had lost, shows how much he blames himself and how helpless he is in this situation.

"Mom, don't yell at me anymore."

Diane managed to smile, but there were tears on her pretty face.

"Perhaps, Grandpa might consider me a very good man?"

Of course he knew this was his uncle's second tactic.

After graduating from university, he started working for the Palmer Group and got outstanding results within two years, overtaking their children easily.

They were worried that she might struggle to control the business, so they instigated her grandfather to find a man willing to marry off with family for her. This way, he would lose his eligibility to take over the business.

He knew this, his parents knew too, but none of them could fight back.

In the Palmer family, no one could oppose what Grandfather had decided. It's nobody.

The clock bell rang and Diane got up.

"Let's go. If we keep Grandpa waiting, he'll scold us again."

William felt a sense of bitterness and helplessness when he saw Diane trembling slightly. He did not dare to look at his wife's pouting face.

He knew that it was difficult for them to stay in the family, but at least they did not have to worry about their living expenses. If they were expelled, what would they do?

In the main hall of the hotel, the place was brightly lit and all the guests had arrived.

Gerald sat right in front, wearing a very beautiful tang suit, holding a cane and his face shining.

"Congratulations, Mr Palmer!"

"Congratulations, Mr Palmer! You've got a great son-in-law!"

All the guests took turns congratulating Gerald.

"Dad, it's time to make an announcement."

Steven stood beside her, his large and stocky figure looking imposing.

He looked towards Diane who was not sitting too far away, and announced in a loud voice, "We have the results here, and we have chosen the most promising young man among the suitors."

The most promising young man?

Pfft, he knew in his heart that the outstanding daughter-in-law they had chosen was the worst among all the suitors. This one seems to have some hidden diseases!

But as long as Diane marries him, then she will have nothing to do with the family business.

Gerald would definitely never let anything belonging to the Palmer family land in the hands of someone with a different surname.

"Everyone!"

Gerald stood. Everyone looked up as he spoke. "Today I would like to officially announce the man we have chosen for my granddaughter, Diane!"
