Chapter 12
Tom Foster is famous for having a fiery temper. He naturally did not rely on mercy to get to where he was in five years!
He snorted and said nothing more. Then he turned and left.
The director mentioned above froze where he was, his face red and he did not know what to do.
He only said a few words of sarcasm to Diane. CEO Foster doesn't have to be this angry, right?
"Pailer CEO..."
He looked at Steven sadly.
"Put down your resignation letter on my desk tomorrow."
Steven is helpless here, too. This is one of his employees, what right does Tom Foster fire him?
But the project had just been signed and there was still too much unknown in the matter, so he also did not dare to anger Tom Foster.
The director felt his heart turn to ashes upon hearing what Steven said.
Everyone within hearing range trembled even louder.
So he was fired on the spot because he just said some sarcastic words to Diane?
This man is the director of the Palmer Group!
It is clear from his appearance that Tom Foster defended Diane, but the bigger question is, how are the two connected?
"What are you all standing here for? No need to work?!"
Archie shouted and all the employees immediately returned to work.
He walked up to Steven and frowned, "Dad, what happened between Diane and Tom Foster?"
They were definitely not lovers as they had expected before. Judging from Tom Foster's attitude, he treated her with great respect, and there was even some fear involved.
But how did this happen?
Who's Tom Foster?
He was a man who could lead both legal and illegal circles!
And even the Palmer family had to be extra polite to him.
What did Diane do to make Tom Foster treat her so politely?
"Examine this!"
Steven had a cold expression on his face as he shouted these words.
This sudden turn of events completely messed up his plan.
If Diane and Tom Foster are in a relationship like this, then she really can't afford to touch Diane.
"okay!"
Archie's leaving soon.
Inside the office, Diane finally managed to react.
He walked to where Ethan was, with both hands behind his back, as if he was examining a little mouse in a cage and looked at Ethan seriously.
"What the hell is going on?"
Diane scrunched her nose at him. "Don't tell me this has nothing to do with you, I won't believe it."
Ethan opened his half-closed eyes and said calmly, "I admit, this has something to do with me."
He knows it!
Diane knows it – there is no other reason why Ethan is so sure that no one other than him can sign this contract.
And even more convinced that Steven and his son would humble themselves and beg him to go back to work.
This was clearly arranged by him.
But...he's just a bum, how did he get to know Tom Foster?
He thought about how he saw Tom Foster standing respectfully in front of Ethan when he opened the door early.
"I know the Little Nanny."
She saw Diane staring at him, waiting for him to explain himself. Ethan laughed, "Before he was rich, he was homeless. One time he almost starved to death and I gave him half my bread, so he owes me one now."
Today, he was here to return the favor.
Diane sneers.
"You think I'd believe that?"
He bit his lips. It's beyond his imagination. This Ethan treats her like a child by telling her this stupid story.
"Do you believe that good people will reap good results?" Ethan asked seriously.
Diane thought for a while, then said, "Are you trying to say that you are a good person?"
"No, you're a good man."
Ethan's up. "That's why you will reap good rewards."
Ethan will never forget that sweet taste for the rest of his life.
He had been in countless dangerous situations, sometimes on the verge of death. But the sweet wrap he carries all the time gives him hope and strength.
"Alright, don't think too much. As long as everything's in order."
Ethan continues, "Let's go, you don't work."
"What's? We just got there."
He continued to pull her out of the building, and everyone they saw along the way were all standing far away, everyone was afraid to get close.
Diane could feel that they looked scared of her.
Ethan was not disturbed at all.
He drives a scooter and takes Diane to the car shop.
"This is not the way home, are you going to sell me?"
Diane sat in the back, and her voice was almost blown away by the wind.
Given his appearance, he might be able to get a pretty good price.
Ethan ignores it and stops the scooter right in front of the BMW store.
"Why did you come here?"
Diane looked at the blue and black logo and was surprised. "We don't buy a car."
He had no money to buy a car.
"Who says we don't buy?"
Ethan dragged her into the store.
Diane was instantly attracted to all the new models on display as they walked through the door.
They are so beautiful!
It was not that he did not think of buying a car, especially in this unbearable cold weather. But he could only see Cherry QQ or Jetta, and even so, he was still worried whether he could afford such a car.
Now Ethan takes her to a BMW store and she doesn't even dare to touch the car!
The sales assistant sees Ethan and Diane from afar, but after scanning them, they don't even move from their seats.
"Miss, are you interested in buying a car?"
A novice salesman saw that no one cared about these customers, so he went to serve them.
The other sales assistants were secretly laughing at how this green fellow was so bad at judging people and gently shaking their heads. An expression of disdain flashed across their poker face.
They are very good at observing people. One look at Diane's expression and they know that the two have no money.
Those with money seemed much more confident.
So they could not bother taking care of the two people who entered. Other than a beginner, who else would be encouraged and waste time on people who would only look and not buy?
"Of course."
Diane is embarrassed and doesn't know how to answer a salesman, so Ethan speaks on her behalf. "If we don't buy a car, then why should we come here?"
Then she looked at Diane, "Which one do you like?"
"What?"
Diane looks at Ethan and wonders if his mental illness is coming back.
What does he mean by which one he likes?
He liked everything, but couldn't really afford it.
"Ethan, let's go back."
Diane's face started to turn red, especially when she could hear the laughter among the salespeople from afar, and she started to feel very uncomfortable.
"Why don't you recommend one for her?"
Ethan doesn't care about Diane and asks the saleswoman.
"This is the 5 series, the latest model of the year. The specification of horsepower is all sufficient for its needs. Also, I feel his attitude fits this model perfectly."
The salesman was clearly new, and did not talk much about sales.
Ethan turns to look at Diane and sees that her gaze falls on this model, so she nods.
"Then we take it."
"What-what?"
This response came from Diane and the saleswoman simultaneously.
Other sales assistants at the store also turned around. What the hell is going on?
They've only been in less than five minutes and they want to buy a car? He must be kidding.
He won't ask about the price? Or a test drive? Surely he should consider the consequences of showing off in front of a girl, right?
"Sir, since this is a new model, we don't have a discount for it at the moment," the salesgirl gestured in a friendly manner.
"No problem."
Ethan took out a debit card from his pocket. "Special code is 666666, help me finish the license plate and everything, finish everything in one bill."
It took the salesman a while to get back to reality. Then he took the card with both hands and excitedly ran to process the transaction.
"Ethan, stop. This car is so expensive, you don't have this much money."
Dian was getting worried.
He's just a homeless man and it's not so bad that he lasted this long. Where would he find the money to buy such an expensive car?
This car, overall, will cost almost $ 500,000 right?
This person's illness must have recurred. Either he beat up someone or did some other crazy thing, and now he must be fooled!
Diane anxiously looked at the place where the saleswoman had run. If the card is rejected, it would be a shame!
