56. Surprised

Early in the morning Seren was sitting on the balcony of his room. Seren stared at the originally dark sky slowly turning into light. Seren felt sore lying down even though he did not sleep. Seren uses silent mode so that when Jhon sends a short message, Seren does not hear it. At five in the morning, Seren got off the bed slowly so as not to wake Irgi.

Seren picked up his phone and stepped towards the balcony of the room. He was sitting in a long chair on the balcony. Seren reads a message from Jhon, then closes his phone again after reading it. Seren sat staring at the bright sky and showed white and blue clouds.

"It was raining all night, and today seems like it's going to be a sunny day." Seren smiled and then yawned. Seren's sleeping hours are bat-like, waking up at night and starting to get sleepy if the sun has started to appear. Seren closed his eyes and slowly fell asleep in the long chair. 

Irgi squirms on the bed, he fumbles at the side of the bed and slowly opens his eyes. He saw the place beside him empty. Irgi got up and walked over to Seren. She has memorized Seren's daily life since she became pregnant. Irgi carried Seren and laid him on the bed slowly. Then Irgi gently kissed Seren's forehead and covered him.

Irgi went to the bathroom because he had already started working. Actually Ronald had forbidden Irgi to go to the office because Irgi had just returned from the hospital. But Irgi reasoned that his body was even stiff if he continued to rest at home. Ronald returns out of town after Irgi is discharged from the hospital. Because Seren was pregnant young and needed attention, Ronald ordered Irgi to work in the center only, while the branch office outside the city was held by Ronald.

Once tidy, Irgi comes downstairs and joins Shahdan and Lara for breakfast. 

"Good morning, Ma, Pa. Ken where?" ask Irgi. Ken usually sits down with Lara and Shahdan. 

"Borning, Gie. Papa hasn't seen Ken since waking up" Shahdan replied.

"Ken stayed with Jhon at their friend's house. Earlier this morning Jhon called Mama," said Lara. 

"Oh," concluded Irgi. 

They then had breakfast, usually five but now they only ate four if Ken was at home. Since Ken wasn't home, they had only three breakfasts. After breakfast, Irgi and Syahdan went to the office by car respectively. After they left, Lara watered her flower plants on the front porch of the house.

John got up early to pick Andin up, but John did not pick Andin up at his house. Jhon sends a short message to Andin that he is waiting for Andin at the end of the alley. If Jhon goes to Andin's house, he is worried about being discovered by Lara that he is lying about Ken.

Andin came out of his house after finishing dressing up. He greeted Lara who was watering the plants in the yard. 

"Good morning, Auntie," said Andin. 

"August, Ndin. What college going up? Or Aunt among you, how?" Lara offers to drive Andin. Because usually Andin leaves with Ken.

"No need, Aunt. Thank you, Andin has ordered a taxi, but Andin's taxi told him to wait at the end of the alley," Andin said with a smile.

"Away, why?" ask Lara. 

"Andin wants to exercise a little, walk there," said Andin. He says goodbye soon or he'll get longer lying to Lara. Andin walked quickly to the end of the alley. There Jhon was waiting for him. When Andin arrived, Jhon immediately gave him his helmet and they drove as fast as possible.

Ken woke up from his sleep. Joan's still sleeping on Ken's thigh. Ken felt sorry to see Joan sleeping in a sitting position, so Ken threw Joan's lap in his thigh with Joan's bag, because Ken's pants were still wet. He removed the hair that was blocking Joan's face. Joan wakes up to Ken's fingers. 

"Sorry, I'm disturbing your sleep." 

"It's okay, I've had enough sleep" said Joan. He got up and sat down next to Ken. 

"It's morning, huh?" ask Joan. 

"It should be morning. There are no windows here, we can't know it's bright or not" said Ken. 

"How do you know it's morning?" ask Joan. 

Ken didn't answer, he just showed me his phone. Joan hit him with annoyance.

"If you already know the morning, why use the event like it should. You're a bitch," picked up Joan. Ken just laughed seeing Joan pouting. Ken and Joan then sat quietly again. They thought about their fate this morning. Last night, the three kidnappers said their boss would meet Ken and Joan this morning.

"Don't worry, Jo. I will try to save you as much as I can" said Ken. He lifted Joan's hand and kissed her gently. Joan looked at Ken with a sharp taste.

"We'll just face it all together. I'm not leaving without you, baby," said Joan. He called Ken with a call of love.

"Hem, it's nice because you called me dear again. All right, we're gonna face it all together, baby," said Ken. They hugged tightly. In his heart, Ken wishes he could protect and save Joan. Ken won't let Joan get hurt in the least. 

Kreett!

The gate is open. The kidnappers entered one by one, two people who were thick and thick walking in front. The skinny kidnapper who put a gun in Joan's temple last night stepped behind her. Another person of medium stature, stepped at the back.

Joan docked at Ken and hugged Ken's arm tightly. Their faces were invisible as they turned their backs to the sunlight and the warehouse had no windows. Ken and Joan could not recognize their faces clearly. Slowly the kidnappers got closer. Joan was getting scared. 

The kidnappers who were in front, stepped aside and gave way to the man who stood at the very back of the line. 

"You're awake, great. He's our boss, the one who has business with both of you" said the skinny kidnapper, who was holding a gun.

Ken and Joan squinted their eyes in order to see clearly who the man who kidnapped them was. 

Slowly the man moved closer. Ken and Joan got up and stood by the wall. Ken hides Joan behind his body, and Ken tries to protect Joan as much as possible. Ken stretched out both his hands. The man continued walking until he stood right under the yellow dim light. Ken and Joan were both wide-eyed when they saw the man.

"Sir Radja!" Joan and Ken both said the name. 

Radja stood under the lamp, with both hands put in her trouser pocket. He smiled meaningfully, and soon three more people entered the warehouse. They stood at the door and Ken only saw the figure of their body without knowing his face.
