44. Surprise

Joan and Ken are having dinner at a restaurant not far from Ken's office. 

"Darling, today, disposable tumben dress?"

"Don't like it? If you don't like it I won't wear it anymore" replied Joan scowling.

"No, I like it a lot. You look so pretty," woo Ken.

"Gombal" said Joan.

"When, anyway, I like your combalin."

Joan fell silent. During this time, Ken had never said words of mutter. He prefers to express his love through deeds rather than proving his love through words. Joan was relieved that she did not take long to persuade and seduce Ken.

"When we eat, where are we going?" ask Ken.

"I have a lot of work from college, so take me home" replied Joan.

"OK." Ken actually felt a little disappointed. He still wants to be with Joan, but Ken can't be selfish. Education is more important today. After finishing their dinner, Ken drove Joan to his house. 

"Thank you, good night, baby. Be careful on the road" said Joan. After Ken is no longer seen, Joan enters the house.

Seren, Irgi, Lara and Shahdan were gathered watching a television show. Ken arrives at his garage, after parking his motorcycle, Ken enters the house. In the living room, Ken saw them gathering. Ken's approaching. 

"Sir Seren, Mr Irgi, are you here?" ask Ken. 

"Ken. Tumben's home late afternoon?" ask Irgi. 

Because usually Ken is very late at night, if he goes on a date with Joan.

"Joan is on a lot of college assignments" Ken replied. 

"Ken, in a moment, you'll have a nephew" said Lara. 

"Niece? Brother Seren?" ask Ken.

Seren nodded confirming Ken's guess.

"Congratulations, Brother. Eventually our family members will grow" said Ken. Ken told them to go into the room. Ken took off the shirt and suit he was wearing. Ken smiled at the necklace Joan gave him.

"Some peach, he only gave half his heart to me. And I gave him my whole heart" muttered Ken. He then took a towel and went into the bathroom. Ken soaked in the bathtub with warm water. Ken was so tired all day, he needed a warm bath to relax the nerves of his tense body. Ken leaned back and closed his eyes, recalling Joan's behavior in the office.

Joan who is usually shy, this afternoon in Ken's office, Joan deliberately teased Ken. Even Joan doesn't care when someone knocks on the door. Ken smiled in remembrance. 

"He was so sweet today, it was just sugar, it was just way less sweet" Ken murmured. Ken ended the event soaking and washing his body under the hot water shower faucet. Twenty minutes later he finished his bath and changed his clothes and went down to the kitchen. Ken brews tea and goes to gather with his family, watching television. But they are more focused on chatting and joking than watching television. Time passed and the night was getting late. Shahdan and Lara decided to rest. Ken, Seren and Irgi also feel tired and want to rest. 

Seren changed his clothes in sleeping pajamas then lay down while hugging Irgi. Irgi rubbed Seren's stomach gently.

"Sister, we haven't told Mama Marinka, should we call now?" ask Seren. 

"Don't! Tomorrow we go to Mama's house, and tell her the good news in person. Let it be a surprise" replied Irgi.

"Hem. All right," said Seren. Slowly Seren's eyes started to get heavy and closed. Not long after he fell asleep. Irgi was the same, he fell asleep after sounding a soft snore from Seren. 

However, an hour later, Seren woke up and went to the bathroom. Seren washes his body under a hot water shower faucet. After the shower, Seren dressed up and woke Irgi.

"Sister, wake. Sis, let's get up" said Seren as he pulled Irgi's hand.

"Darling, you're so beautiful, where are you going these nights?" ask Irgi. 

"Streetings. Come on, brother, take Seren for a walk." Seren pulled Irgi's hand so he could wake up. 

"Where's the road late at night like this?"

"Anterin anyway!" Seren let go of Irgi's hand and pouted because Irgi was unwilling to get up.

Irgi does not want to see Seren sad, especially now that she is pregnant. Irgi went to wash his face and change his nightgown. Irgi took Seren and they left by car. Ken looked through the window of his room, as Irgi's car came out of the gate, and their security guards opened and closed the gate again.

"Where are they going at night? Are they going back to the apartment?" Ken wondered to himself as he looked straight towards the gate. 

That night, Ken couldn't sleep. For some reason, seeing Irgi's car out, Ken's heart became more and more unsettled. It's not usually that he's worried when Irgi and Seren leave. Ken decides to follow them on his bike, calling Fadil before leaving.

Connected calls.

"Hello, Brother Fadil. What about the bodyguard I told you to take care of Seren? Are they still following Seren?" ask Ken. 

"They're reporting if they just left your house. They were standing guard in the car across the street right in front of the house. Since Seren was asleep, they went home" Fadil replied.

"Sir Seren just left, somewhere to go. But my heart was suddenly not calm" said Ken.

"They just reported, probably not far from your house. I'll have them follow Seren back. They've activated the GPS on Seren's phone. Relax!" fadil.

Last afternoon when Seren went to the hospital, one of the bodyguards accidentally hit Seren and took Seren's phone to activate the GPS on Seren's phone. When it was over, the bodyguard returned Seren's phone and pretended that Seren's phone had fallen off. 

Fadil called his guards and they immediately executed the order and searched Seren's current location. Ken also rode on his bike. He drove at high speed because he was far behind and Ken also missed the trail of Seren's car. Ken stopped on the sidewalk and called Irgi. But Irgi did not answer because his phone was silent and placed in the car dashboard drawer. Ken goes back on his bike and goes around looking for Irgi and Seren.
