Meet Lauren

"It just so happens that Mom and Dad haven't slept. Arden wanted to tell me about the problem at the restaurant," he said.

Arden returns home and finds Elena and Kevin watching TV in the living room. The opportunity is also to straighten out the subject of misunderstanding in the restaurant earlier.

"Mama is disappointed in you. You don't seem to want to introduce us to your lover" Elena said.

"At first it was just friends and we were familiar. But Arden had no feelings for her. We had a vacation together in America."

"Men are the same. You must have given her false hope."

"No, no" Arden argued.

"Aretha said you bought a bag from her. That must be for Lauren, right? Mama also saw the bag box from the woman's chair earlier. You guys like to make us fall in love, then drop it. Your father used to be like that."

Elena got up from her seat. He stared fiercely at the two who had almost the same nature, which was toying with women's feelings. Then, walk into the room.

"Look, it's all because of you" said Kevin.

"Why is Arden wrong?" tanyakanya.

"Don't get too close to women, Ar. In the end, they misunderstood. Your mom is angry now. Tonight Papa won't sleep in the guest room" said Kevin, then left to catch up with Elena.

Arden exhaled a rough breath. "It looks like Mama and Papa used to have a problem with a third person. Mama always said not to play with women's feelings. I didn't do anything to Lauren. She's the one who thinks of my attention as love."

Arden walked slowly to his parents' room. He drew his ears closer and tried to hear the conversation. Arden was afraid that the matter would create a quarrel between Elena and Kevin.

"There's nothing. Good though. Mama and papa were not affected by the same words I said earlier," Arden murmured.

Arden felt a soft hand rub his head. Slowly he opened his eyes, then saw the figure that made him smile in the morning.

"Mama!"

Arden inched to sleep on Elena's lap while enjoying every stroke of affection his mother gave him.

"I'm sorry about Arden last night" he said.

"What are you wrong?"

"Mistake everything. Anyway Arden is sorry."

"Yes, Mama sorry. Now you get up first" said Elena.

Arden wakes up from the fall. He got out of bed and went straight to the bathroom. Elena immediately made the bed. He grabbed Arden's tucked cell phone and stared at his screen. There's a picture of Arden peeping at Kayla's cheek. The photo was used as wallpaper.

Elena smiled at him. "When is this photo? If Kayla finds out, they'll fight again."

It's not unusual for Elena to have Kayla next to Arden. Even in her son's room, there were things related to Kayla. The head pillow that Arden was sleeping on read the name of the son and Kayla. Arden's favorite pillow that Elena deliberately made as a gift for the twelfth birthday.

In the afternoon, Arden went to pick up Kayla. Raka and Bela are not home. So, Arden freely bullied Kayla.

"You said you wanted to go buy a ring. Why do you want me in bed?"

"Before a minute" replied Arden as he explored his girlfriend's collarbone.

Arden flipped Kayla's body, then punched her back with a small kiss. Kayla gripped the sheets as it felt a painful bite as well as delicious.

"You promised you wouldn't touch me" Kayla said.

"I don't touch your front" said Arden.

"Already, yeah. Come on, let's go get a ring" Kayla persuaded.

Arden pulls out of Kayla's body. He pulled his hair back, then exhaled a strong breath. Arden almost lost control.

"I'm waiting outside. You get ready soon" said Arden.

Kayla snorted, she was ready for the moment, but it was Arden who had messed up her makeup. Kayla tidied up her clothes, hair and lipstick.

"Darling! Come on, go," cried Arden.

"Yes, I'm done" said Kayla, then walked out.

Arden reached out a hand that was greeted by Kayla. The two get out of the house, get in the car and Arden immediately drives his four-wheeled vehicle towards the mall.

Arriving at the shopping center, Arden and Kayla just stepped into the jewelry store. They chose the appropriate engagement ring for tomorrow night.

"For the wedding ring, let's order it" Arden suggested.

"Can too. For now we buy what's there first" Kayla said. "This is good, honey. The ring is simple, but sweet."

Arden asked the waiter to take a couple of pairs of rings for them. While picking, Arden's phone rang.

"Papa phone. You wait here" said Arden.

Kayla nodded. "Go."

Arden moved away from Kayla, then picked up the call from Kevin. Kayla chose her engagement ring.

"Hi!"

Kayla turned her head, her forehead wrinkled at the figure of the woman in front of her. Kayla felt like she had seen it, but the memory was vague.

"It looks like we've met before" Kayla said.

The woman smiled. "Lauren. We've met twice."

Kayla raised her eyebrows. "Yes, I remember now. Only his name sounds."

"Can we talk?" ask Lauren.

Kayla glanced at Arden who was still calling. The man faced back and looked seriously talking on the phone.

"Tell my girlfriend to wait for me here" Kayla told the store clerk, then turned to Lauren. "We'll just go to the cafe."

Lauren and Kayla soon leave unbeknownst to Arden. It was unexpected that Lauren could meet Arden at the mall. It was a coincidence that Lauren had just been shopping for new clothes and she saw Arden with Kayla who had unexpectedly become very beautiful.

The two sat facing each other with their drinks in hand. Kayla did not expect this. A friend without Arden's status came to see him.

"Just talk to save time" Kayla said.

"The last time your body contains. It's very pretty now" Lauren said.

Kayla smiles. "Thank you for the compliment."

"What's because of the breakup? Or a new partner?" ask Lauren.

Kayla cleared. "I don't think we're close. Do I have to explain it to you?"

"I was just curious. Arden told me everything" Lauren said.

"I think he thinks you're special, and if Arden tells you everything, it means you know who I am" Kayla said.

"of course. You're his best friend."

"I mean, you know that I'm the woman he wants" Kayla said right on target.

"Do you want to elevate your status in Arden's eyes?"

"I'm just telling you the truth. Is that wrong?" Kayla smiled faintly. "What do you really want to talk about?"

"I was just curious about Arden's choice" Lauren said.

Kayla smiles again and makes Lauren sick of seeing him. A smile that puts pressure on her and Lauren feels small facing her.

"I'm not an option because I was the woman who was at Arden's side. The other woman was just an escape for him. Unfortunately, many women think of it as love."

Once again it felt like an arrow was piercing through Lauren's heart. What Kayla said was very accurate. At first Lauren thought Arden was just a regular guy who stopped by like most of her one-night friends, but over in America that feeling changed. Lauren fell in love with Arden.

"We slept together and had fun during the holidays" Lauren said provokingly.

Kayla chuckles. "I'm not a woman with a conservative mind. Before Arden was with you, he did a lot with other women out there. You guys just don't play until it's far away. Because Arden just handed himself over to me."

Kayla rubbed Lauren's arm which was immediately pushed over by the woman. Kayla remained calm and published her sweet smile.

"If you want to incite me for nothing. You've only been Arden's friend for a while. Everything you know, not as much as I know." Kayla got up from her seat. "One more thing, forget your momentary love for Arden."
