Sweetest Escape
Bickering

"I'm looking for my wife. He's staying at this hotel" Arden said.

"Sorry, Sir. We do not carelessly tell the guest data just like that" said the female receptionist.

"I'm not asking for data. I want to know my wife's room number. Name's Kayla. We had a fight and he ran here" Arden said emotionally.

Unfortunately Elise just told Kayla's hotel stay. The woman also did not ask at what number Kayla was in and Elise could not have questioned it because it could be that Kayla would be suspicious.

"Better you go or I ask for security to expel you" he warned.

"I beg you to call him again" said Arden.

"I've told you that Miss in question doesn't want to talk and meet you."

Arden clucked in annoyance. He picked up the phone in his pants pocket, then looked for the number of the person who could help him.

"You'll be sorry for preventing me from entering" Arden said as he stared intently at the receptionist.

"Sorry, Sir. I'm just doing my job."

Arden snorted, then placed the phone near his ear. "Hello, Ed. I'm at the hotel where you work. Your subordinates won't let me in."

"Why is that?" ask Edward across the phone.

"Just you come here. Help me," said Arden, then cut off his phone.

Arden ruffled waist. Act slightly in front of the reception woman who did not tell Kayla's room number. Edward did not come long. Arden's best friend who served as manager at the Hammers hotel.

"My love is staying at this hotel. Name's Kayla. Tell me the room" said Arden.

"Only for this are you telling me to come down?" said Edward.

"Your subordinates won't tell me."

Edward stared intently at the woman who served as the receptionist. Edward had a little chat with her and Arden smiled to see the woman looking down because of Edward's reprimand.

"Number 507 on the third floor" said Edward.

Arden smiled, then patted his best friend's shoulder. "thank you. It is not in vain that I have a good friend. You're all reliable." Then go to the elevator.

Edward snorts. "When did he have a girlfriend? I don't like dating."

Arden in the elevator. Arriving at the intended floor, he immediately searched for the room number that was told by Edward. Impatiently, Arden knocked on the door, then hid by the side. She did not want Kayla to see her face, and refused to open the door.

Arden expected Kayla would not open the door. The lady-servant passed by with a cleaning cart. Arden asked him to knock for ten dollars. Arden smiled as the door opened and heard Kayla's voice.

"What's wrong? I didn't call the waiter to clean the room" Kayla said.

"Sorry, miss," said the waiter.

"I'm the one who wants to see you." Arden suddenly appeared from the side.

"Arden!"

Kayla wants to close the door, but Arden holds her back. Arden pushed Kayla inside and she came in. Before closing the room, Arden told the waiter to leave by paying the promised wage.

"What do you want?" ask Kayla.

"You know what I want, Kay. I'll explain everything. I have nothing to do with Lauren."

Kayla folds her hands in the stomach. "There's no connection, but his personal clothes are in your closet."

"You were with Steve before we were together. You slept with her too."

"I didn't sleep with him! I'm still a virgin!" yell Kayla.

"I'm a virgin too!" arden said not to lose out hard.

"Oh, tell me. What did you do to Lauren? You kissed her lips, her heart, her stomach and her sensitive parts, right? You did that, right Arden!"

"Yes! I did," answered Arden honestly.

"Otherwise? How long have you been together?" ask Kayla.

"I took her for a walk, shopping. We also play in Vegas casinos."

"You're one room?"

Arden nodded. "Yes. We're one room."

Kayla smiled wryly. "That's enough. Now get out of here."

"That's just the past, Kay. You know what I am, too" said Arden.

"I'm still upset to hear it."

"Are we fighting this new fight? You never take heart over all our fights. Even if I say I hate you, you stay close to me."

"Clearly different! You make our relationship different. Do I need to remind you of all your words to me?" said Arden. "What did you say to Aretha? What do you think of me, Kayla? We are not friends!" arden.

"Why are you so mad at me?"

"Because it's all your fault" replied Arden.

Kayla covered her face. He sobbed. "Till any time I never win from you. Why am I wrong? It's about the woman's clothes you keep."

"I didn't keep it. If it's tucked in my closet. It's all an element of accident."

Kayla looked at Arden. Her eyes are red. "I hate you!"

"Lantas, want to hit me like you used to? We are no longer children" Arden said.

Kayla clenched her feet. "Get out of my room!"

"No way!" arden replied loudly.

Kayla gets on the bed. He covered his face with a pillow. Arden snorted to see it.

"Don't cry" said Arden.

"Shut up!" snapped Kayla. Goddamnit! When can I win from him. I always lose the debate.

"Your life is twenty-five years old. I won't buy you a doll, ice cream or carry you around to keep you quiet."

"Damn it!" kayla, then throw a pillow at Arden.

"Don't curse me!"

Arden crawled up to the bed. He coiled his hand to Kayla's stomach, but got a spicy pinch from her hand.

"Sorry, Kay. The vow! I have nothing to do with Lauren. We're friends and we fill each other's time."

"You enjoyed it, didn't you?" kayla.

"Absolutely not. I imagine it was you." Arden flipped Kayla's body facing her. He rubbed the tears that were still left on the girl's cheeks.

"Don't lie to me."

"I never lie" said Arden.

"About how you feel" said Kayla.

"I've been thinking about marrying Lauren."

One punch landed on the shoulder. Not once, but several times and Arden let it go. He endured the pain and smiled.

"Listen to me first. After that it just hit again" said Arden.

"Tell me the truth."

"I've always been honest" Arden said. "I'm going to end my single life if you marry Steve. With any woman, I don't care. I set sail because I wanted to get away from you and everything. I don't want Aretha to call, then tell me your happy news." Arden hugged Kayla. "I can't hear it, honey."

"I believe you. Don't let me be disappointed the second time. I want your apartment cleaned of any woman's remains" Kayla said, then continued, "one more, throw away the clothes."

"I threw it in the trash. I'm sorry, yeah."

"I'm sorry for one chance" Kayla said.

Arden kissed Kayla on the forehead, as he wanted to lower his kiss on the lips, a ringing cell phone rang out.

"This must be Aretha" said Arden.

"What's that about?"

"He sent a video. Let me see that."

Arden inched to a seat then picked up the mobile phone in his pants pocket. Arden expected his brother to call. Arden refused the call, then played the video.

"What the fuck? They just play the record" said Arden angrily.

"What's wrong?" ask Kayla who is sitting down.

"See this." Arden handed me his phone.

Kayla's eyes widened to see him, then she laughed. "God! Is this you, honey?"

"Who else is chasing a girl with a towel? Good thing I didn't get arrested for troublemaking."
