Just friends

Davin drove Kayla home. Raka's car is parked in the yard and that means, Arden's fiancee's parents are inside. Arden wants to go down and meet friends of his parents, but Kayla forbids. They can meet until the time is decided.

"We'll meet later. I don't want the kangen event with the family to be interrupted" Kayla said.

"I'm a bully?" Arden looked annoyed at the words.

"No! If you come along, then something else will be discussed."

"Yes, Ar. We better not bother Kayla just yet. You said you wanted to arrange a family meeting. If you go in there, then Raka will be suspicious about you" Aretha said.

During the holidays, Kayla did not tell her family about Arden. Every time I call, Kayla just says she's alone. Everyone knows Arden and Kayla never get along.

"I can make excuses. Just tell me if accidentally one plane with Kayla," said Arden.

"Darling, I'm tired and want to rest. Don't bother me for this afternoon alone" Kayla finally said.

"I don't bother you" Arden argued.

"Just give me a farewell kiss. Arden must be quiet," suggested Davin who was also upset over the behavior of his brother-in-law.

Kayla leaned forward in front of Arden, then closed her lips to the lover's lips. Arden did not want to miss the opportunity even though it was in front of a married couple. He restrains Kayla's head and deepens her kiss.

"Have-it!" kayla said as she pushed down Arden's body. "You're never satisfied."

Arden chuckles. "easy ending. Want another one?"

Kayla snorted, then got out of the car. So did Davin who helped get Kayla's suitcase out. The housekeeper opened the fence when his employer's son came home.

"See you later, Kay" Davin said.

Kayla smiles. "Be careful on the road, brother."

Davin's in the car. The back glass came down with Arden waving and a kiss throw. Kayla catches him, then blows him back towards the lover.

"You are amusing me" said Aretha.

"Jealous" said Arden.

"I'm tired of doing that."

"Alright, Honey. Arden's in flowers again" Davin said.

"By the way, is Kayla pregnant?" ask Aretha. "You've been together long enough, haven't you?"

"We're not like you guys who just sleep together" replied Arden.

Davin coughed at Arden's innuendo. Pas was stabbed in his heart. So is Aretha. It was no longer an accusation, but the truth that was blatantly uttered by the mouth of the chili.

Aretha hit Arden with her shoulder bag. "I'm serious."

"Really, really. I want to do it when we're married. Not like you guys."

"It's been a long time that my fist hasn't landed on someone's face" Davin said.

Arden laughed at hearing that. "I'm sorry, but that's the truth. We were together, but we haven't done it."

"Oh, yeah, it's not like you ever told me you had a boyfriend. Have you guys broken up?" ask Davin.

Arden's forehead is wrinkled. "Love? I don't have a lover."

"You told me once. At that time you wanted to introduce her to the family if the time was right."

"Yes, Ar. I think I've heard that. Have you guys broken up?" connect Aretha.

"No. I really don't have a boyfriend." Oh, is this Lauren? I have no relationship with him. Besides, I've been ignoring her messages and phone calls all along.

Hearing Davin's words, makes Arden's feelings not careless. What was once happy has now turned into uncertainty. Arden believes he and Lauren are friends. They spend time together because they both like it.

"Are you okay?" ask Aretha.

"What do you think I should do?" Arden asked back.

"Do I need to call Lauren? We're just having fun" Arden said.

"I think just ignore it. If you're just friends, I don't think you need to. Yes, if you want, say hello, maybe you can," said Davin, who thinks like a man out there.

"Are you guys very close?" ask Aretha.

"I had a vacation with him. That's all, " replied Arden.

"If it's just friends, I don't think it's that important. You can call him to say hello. You're friends, right?"

Arden nodded. "Yes, I'll take her to meet up for a chat."

Arden took the phone in his shirt pocket, then changed the plane mode to active mode. There were many incoming messages, but Arden chose Lauren's name and sent a reply.

Not long after Arden's phone rang. From Lauren who has long been neglected. Arden immediately lifted it up, then brought the device closer to the ear. Arden was called through a media application with a phone handle because he had not changed his number.

"Yes, Lauren," said Arden.

"You ignored me" said Lauren.

Arden smiled and he imagined that Lauren's face was currently pouting. "I just got home from vacation."

"Where are you now? I miss you so much."

"guess. Where am I now?" ask Arden.

"In your apartment. I want to catch up with you," Lauren.

Arden laughing. "I'm already in Indonesia."

Arden heard a happy shout from across the phone. Indeed Arden never promised to tell Lauren if she returned to the homeland.

"When? You didn't tell me" Lauren said.

"I've just arrived and am now on my way."

"I want us to meet, baby. I miss you."

Arden chuckled at hearing that. I mean miss that Arden knows what it means. Unfortunately, Arden would not do that. He already has a lover. The woman he loved the most was Kayla.

"Can. I'll take you to dinner. It just so happens that there is good news that I want to tell you" Arden said.

"Later night. I want to meet as soon as possible" Lauren said. "Oh, you brought me some souvenirs, right?"

"By-by? Yes, I brought it," said Arden.

"I'll wait for you."

"I close first. I'll call for the place" Arden said, then disconnect the phone.

Arden patted his own eel. The gift to Lauren was never thought of. What items should he give to the girl? Everything belongs to Kayla.

"Aretha, do you have a brand new C bag?" ask Arden.

"I'm not going to give it. You know for yourself if I have to save money shopping to buy it."

"Your husband is stingy. The buying period of the bag must save first," said Arden.

"You think money comes by itself? I don't work because I take care of my son and my husband" Are said.

"Davin, I didn't expect your finances to decline" Arden said. "To buy a bag, Aretha had to save."

"Why am I still being blamed? I've given him money every month in addition to spending money" Davin said.

"The bag is expensive and hard to get. If you want it, you have to buy from me twice as much" Aretha said.
