CHAPTER 208

When Mia wakes up in the middle of the night, she is temporarily lying on a hospital bed with Wixel sitting on the sofa. His eye bags were clearly visible, and a laptop was on his lap. The man looked exhausted and clearly showed the man had not gotten enough sleep for several days.

Mia frowned. The super busy man was in his treatment room at such an hour and fell asleep waiting for him?

Mia slowly rose from her sleep, but the pain on her body that was hit by the gunshot made her scream with a stifled voice.

He immediately turned his head towards Wixel, he was too afraid of what if he woke the man up.

After being silent for a while and making sure Wixel was not disturbed by his screams he slowly left his bed and walked towards Wixel enveloping the man.

The next morning Wixel woke up and found himself sleeping very soundly while wrapped in a blanket.

The blanket she was wearing was Mia's blanket. He immediately looked towards the empty bed.

Damnit damnit! The woman disappeared!

Worry began to gnaw on him. The woman tried to escape again!

He stood up and searched the entire room. But after a while he found out that Mia was really not in the room.

He became increasingly panicked and ran out asking the nurses who were on guard.

"The lady is in the garden" The nurse said with great politeness.

Wixel immediately walked towards the park and saw Mia sitting on a bench while observing some small children playing a chase.

"You here?" Wixel approached Mia.

Wixel breathed a sigh of relief when she saw how Mia was fine. "Why are you here? Didn't you just wake up?"

"I'm not that weak" Mia smiled warmly and looked towards Wixel. "Thank you for saving me and also for waiting for me while in the hospital" Mia gave a sincere thank you. Just a thank you. No more than that!

Wixel smiled as the answer. "Do you want to eat something?"

"No need to bother, I already ate the food Keti brought" Mia returned her attention towards the two little children who were playing together.

Some time they sit together finally Wixel's stomach can not stand it too and rebel asking for food supply. That stomach sound made Mia distract her from the little boy and stare at Wixel in shame.

It's fault! He forgot that he needed food too.

Wixel acted as if her stomach voice was so ordinary that she did not care about it and kept looking with focus on the little boy playing.

"Let's go to the cafeteria" Mia stood up and walked towards the canteen.

Wixel stared at Mia's weak back who was further away leaving her.

When they arrived at the cafeteria, Mia ordered food for Wixel, while she only ordered fresh juice to lighten her thirsty taste.

Wixel is not a person who will enjoy cheap food from the hospital canteen. But for some reason when Mia who ordered it and saw the woman was sitting in front of him while sipping his drink he felt his appetite increase and he ate greedily.

He would occasionally raise his face while smiling towards Mia. This is the happiness he seeks. His efforts were not in vain. In time he can melt Mia's hard heart which has made him fight hard until he is ready to do anything to get his attention.
