Students From Whiteroom
The District 7 Military Police

The morning dawned from the eastern horizon. And this morning I looked in the mirror for a long time. My black hair has been shiny after I put on hair oil which is currently trending among young people.

I was wearing a long-sleeved hem shirt, but the sleeves were folded to the elbows. Because, this way of dressing is trending as well now. One more thing, actually I intend to wear jeans, but I undo my intentions.

I don't like jeans. The reason is simple, because the type of pants is tight and thick so that it causes sultry in my legs.

I looked at myself once more before I finally left. And in a hurry I left.

I don't want to keep Maya waiting.

Immediately, I stepped into the meeting place. At the crossroads near the red light, a girl stood staring without caring about the circumstances surrounding her.

The girl was wearing white clothes with cute lace on some parts of her clothes. While at the bottom, she wore a white A-line skirt that matched the color of her clothes.

He carried a small bag and held it on his shoulder. His eyes that I see do not look at anyone who passes around him. It seems he is waiting for someone.

Waitie? Wasn't I the one the girl was waiting for? I immediately ran towards her because I didn't want to make the girl wait any longer.

Suddenly I hit someone. I fell for a moment too.

Oh my God I'm so careless! Some people look at me. Lucky the guy I hit didn't fall.

"You okay?"

The man looked at me with a friendly smile. He was wearing a blue mechanical suit with an ADP helmet like the coal company I'd seen.

I nodded while hiding my embarrassment. "I'm sorry."

The man nodded. His eyes narrowed slightly as he looked at me.

"Hey, haven't we met before?"

I look at it more closely. I remember this guy. He's the same guy I hit a few days ago.

I bow my head again. "Please forgive me for the events of that time as well."

The man was misbehaved because of my attitude.

"You don't have to worry about it. So don't think too much. Okay?"

He's a good man like an angel.

"I have to go. So see you."

The man then went to an apartment leisurely like nothing had happened.

I let out my breath. Luckily, the guy was good. If it was someone else, maybe I'd get angry. Moreover, not just once, but twice I hit him because of my carelessness.

Behind me, I felt an uncomfortable aura appear all of a sudden. When I turned, Maya had stood looking at me with the most cynical look she had. His hands folded in front of his tiny chest.

"I didn't think you were so careless."

I bow my head. Because what he said was true. I'm so careless.

"Well forget it. I don't really care about what happened today. As long as I can wear it."

What did he say just now? I think I heard something about wearables. It's like I'm gonna be his pawn. After I think about it again, all this time I seemed to have long been his pawn without me noticing.

"Now follow me."

He also stepped somewhere. With resignation, I followed him behind without knowing where he was headed.

We arrived at a very large skyscraper. The building gave off a threatening aura. Around him stood pacing back and forth a few men in neat uniforms. They are members of the 7th District Military Police.

Why did Maya bring me here?

The girl who saw me standing awestruck by the grandeur of this building immediately pulled my arm.

"Aria, do you want to play a game?"

I saw him confused. "What game?"

Maya smiled a little. And, looking at his smile I can guess what will happen next. I'm sorry I asked.

"simple. Let's play a riddle. The question is, can I jump higher than this building, or not?"

Last time I bet and I lost. Now, of course I'll shake my head. Before I could say no, he continued.

"If you can answer my question correctly, you can make a request. But if you fail to answer that, you must obey one of my requests for today."

Ahh he's sneaky.

It's a tactic he always uses, and I'm always hit by his traps. This time the tactics are the same. He lured me into a game I couldn't resist. Because the prize is to be free from this courtship agreement.

"Give me 3 minutes."

He pointed to a tall building. In the building there is a large clock that currently shows at 9 hours less 3 minutes. So, if the clock ticks, my time is up.

I nodded in agreement.

Returning to Maya's question, was she able to jump higher than the building?

I still don't know all of Maya's abilities, but I can clearly see how her academic skills are during sports lessons. Maya's physical condition is the opposite of her thinking ability.

So, jumping higher than a skyscraper is impossible. If he lies and answers he can do it, then all I need to ask is the proof. If he reasoned unable to show the evidence, then it was checkmate for him.

I also held back my smile that almost came out. I excitedly answered the girl's question.

"Of course you can't do it."

"Related?"

"Yep."

"alright. I'll try to jump."

Let's see how high he can jump. Maya gets ready to take a swing. She lifted a little bit of her skirt which was quite long and she jumped.

I almost laughed to see him try to jump as high as possible. However, the height he reached was only as high as the tip of my hair. And, of course it was still far from the height of the skyscraper he was challenging.

"Well, I won" he said.

Of course his words confused me.

"You mean?"

With a relaxed and flat facial expression rather lethargic he replied. "I managed to jump higher than a skyscraper jump."

"Wait, that's-"

"If you don't acknowledge my victory. Try asking any building to jump higher than me."

He challenged me with a small smile that described his cunning.

Of course, not a single building can jump. I gave up and lost my defeat. I shouldn't have accepted the challenge and bet.

For a moment I looked back at the skyscraper.

This building really seems to claw the sky high, I murmured inwardly.

Maya who saw me standing glued to the height of this building immediately pulled me in. But I refused it gently.

"I'm sorry, you go first. I want to go to the toilet."

She carelessly passed through the front door, casually leaving me outside. While I went to a public toilet near the building.

A few minutes later, I was next to Maya. A man approached us immediately. Looks like the man is the security of the place.

"What business are you here for?"

From his tone of speech, he seemed to underestimate us. Although I didn't like his attitude, but his question had represented my feelings as well. What are we here for?

"I want to see Hans."

The man who asked us was surprised. "A promise?"

Maya nodded. "He asked me to come here."

The man immediately left with an expression of disbelief. And when he came back, he was standing behind a Pol Mil officer.

I can see this from the number of stars on his shoulders. Also from the badge attached in his shirt pocket.

Is it possible she-is

"Ahh nak Maya's. It's nice to meet you."

The man greeted Maya cheerfully. In my shadow, she was similar to someone I knew. He's like Virga's sister. It was just my imagination.

The man lowered his head. "Thank you for coming."

I'm appalled.

"No problem. Can we talk about our business. Isn't there a case you want to solve?"

Me and the man who had underestimated us were shocked. The two of us could not help but be curious because Maya was so brave to speak like that in front of an officer. Maya turned to me and walked away. I quickly followed his steps.
