The Negotiations that Failed

Amelia then suggests some way to negotiate with the remaining classes. If it fails, the last way is to use the threat as before.

While listening to the plan from Amelia, I am currently rethinking the poem made by Maya.

My previous conclusion could only solve the clues about the place Maya had determined to meet me later. Other than the venue, what else would the two sides usually determine before meeting?

I tried to change my perspective to the point of view of someone who wanted to meet someone else.

Wait, I'm not in a meeting. Wasn't my current meeting previously planned. Before meeting with Brother Virga and the others, I had planned a place to meet, which was the school cafeteria.

In addition to this, we also plan other things that are needed before meeting.

And it was time to meet. The time is at rest today. Perhaps, this is what was lacking from my previous conclusion.

That was the first sentence of his poem. The only sentence that shows the time in the poem is only in that sentence. I think the reason is simple. Because that's when I got to meet Maya. When the moon shows its perfect fullness.

When exactly will the full moon happen? Perhaps the time is at night on the 15th or mid-month. When I look at the calendar, the date falls on tomorrow night.

My conclusion is finally over.

When I woke up, Brother Virga and the others had looked at me curiously.

"Virga, our chairman of the 2B class wants to meet you right now. Please bring your friends too."

We were taken to a meeting table with the 2B class president. When we arrived, Noah and Leo were waiting for us.

Why are those Central members here? Has our plan been leaked?

The betrayal that I had been trying to prevent, finally happened. Anyone who has broken the agreement with us seems to have leaked our plans.

Do I have to investigate the entire class that belonged to our alliance? No, if I do and get caught, there will be a split in our alliance.

When I saw Leo and Noah, I realized one thing. One of them was the new Class 2B Chairman. Actually the Salamander Unit under the leadership of Virga Kak has investigated all the data of the Class Chair, and no one is a member of Central.

But now class 2B has replaced its class chairman with one of the Central members. It seems like they have anticipated the tactics we used to form an alliance.

Of course, the alliance plan will be hampered and disrupted if there are some classes that are unwilling to join us.

He could have ordered us to dissolve the alliance and offered protection by Central. However, it seems that it is impossible. Because the enmity between Brother Virga and the Central side is the real thing.

Brother Virga lowered his head. For the first time he seemed to be afraid of something.

I can also see Noah smiling triumphantly beside Leo.

Leo looked at Brother Virga suspiciously.

Virga threw away his face as if he knew nothing.

Leo seemed to be holding back his emotions. Noah who was beside him seemed to be holding back Leo's movements that ignited emotions. I am thankful that he seems to have succeeded.

Noah quickly took over the helm of the conversation. With his decision, OSIS will only be a goalless organization.

Today, the organization has lost many of its members due to Class Voting. Only a few members survived. Including Virga's sister. However, with Noah's decision, I don't think it's any good to stay at OSIS.

The group of students from Central immediately left us without further ado and ended our failed negotiations.

It all happened so quickly as if fate had saved me from Amelia's previous rampage in an unexpected way. Not that I feel happy. It's just that my heart is now beginning to believe that miracles are real.

Forget my current pleasure, Brother Virga's condition is just the opposite. He looks moody.

He tried to smile loudly in front of Asuna and Amelia. Deep down in my heart, I am grateful that Brother Virga finally returned to being cheerful and cunning.
