Story of Season: Winter
Chapter 20's

Braakkk

The door opened loudly from outside. There Crystal walked in in haste. He approached Delphy and his father who was surprised by his presence arrived.

"Who allowed a traitor to enter the King's room?!!" Shouted Crystal but none of the guards or servants around there dared to reply.

"What do you mean?!" Delphy said he didn't accept it.

"Crystal?!" Sentak King Whittaker.

Crystal stood beside the King, blocking Delphy. "Dad is okay? Why did you let him in? Dad forgot he just left his job and just came back after six months?"

Delphy grabbed Crystal by the wrist and pulled her out of the room, preventing her twin sister from speaking further and ending up fighting in front of her father, who was lying ill.

"Deliver!" Crystal thrashed, trying to escape. "How dare you do this to me!!!" Delphy still ignored him.

"Guards!!!" This time Delphy immediately took it off before the Royal Guard actually came. However, he did not want to be completely expelled from his own palace.

Now Delphy and Crystal arrive at the Palace Park. Where they used to play together.

"Don't make a fuss in front of dad." Delphy.

Crystal snatched arrogantly, "What right do you have to govern me? A traitor like you doesn't even deserve to be in the Palace."

"Who do you call a traitor?"

"Who else if not the Crown Princess' bodyguard who disappeared in the middle of duty?"

"You don't even understand anything!" Delphy raised his tone, he was caught off guard by Crystal's attitude, "Didn't you even find out what happened to me that night? You didn't even ask me the slightest bit if I was okay!!!"

"Isn't everything clear now? You are standing before me at this moment in good condition." Without continuing his words Crystal stepped away, but his steps had stopped, "Omong by the way, hurry up and leave before I really throw you out." Crystal left without looking again.

Delphy could only be glued to where he stood. How Crystal kicked him out left him speechless. Inwardly, Delphy asked how his twin sister, who had been so close to him, had now become so far away that she was able to drive him out of her own home.

Shit, Delphy doesn't know what to do. He doesn't even know who to blame right now. Things he experienced late this made him think too much, until Delphy did not have time to grieve with Crystal's attitude to him.

"Ohhhhh....." Delphy let out a long sigh hoping to let go of the slight burden that felt piled up. "I'd better finish my original goal back here."

The sky seemed clear at this time even though the weather was getting cold. Winter should be almost over, but autumn is just beginning. Delphy even remembered his birthday.

From a distance Delphy saw Colden walking up to him. It was with pleasure that Delphy waved his hand.

"You're okay? Is anyone hurt? Why did you just come back?" Colden asked as soon as he was right in front of Delphy. He made sure every inch of his sister's body was unharmed.

"Calm down, brother, I'm fine." Reply Delphy while keeping Colden's hand away from him. "Right now I'm not the one to worry about."

Delphy and Colden are currently in the gazebo, they decided to talk while drinking warm tea. It didn't take long until the palace servants served them rose tea and snacks.

"I'm confused where to ask." Implied tones of frustration from Delphy.

Erd offered to cooperate, but I couldn't come to the discussion because I was sick. In accordance with Royal regulations, Crystal as Crown Princess replaces father duties entirely with the Queen's company.

But alas, the agreement is actually too detrimental to us. Erd forced their residents to sell directly here instead of just exporting goods to Whittaker. Although we can actually export food from other countries, but Crystal is too stubborn, he thinks Erd will be his life partner there is no harm in entrusting Erd in this cooperation.

I can't do anything about his current condition and the Queen fully supports Crystal. While I don't have any rights, Crystal won't listen to me at all."

Delphy let out a long sigh then massaged his temple. As usual Crystal and his stubborn nature always makes Delphy difficult.

"Then what about me? Haaahh, even I'm no longer a Royal Knight."

"With your loss, Crystal considers you free from responsibility, not only Crystal even the Queen also criticizes you. Fortunately Crystal only revoked your Knight title and did not announce you as a traitor. I don't have any arguments to defend you."

Delphy was silent, though in his mind asked, did not the soldier explain the incident that night? Stand facing the robbers alone then disappear for six months.

"What about you? What's been going on for six months?" Colden's turn to ask.

"I'll explain it later if the time is right."

Colden stared in surprise at Delphy's answer, although he was actually curious but Colden chose to be quiet. Because he was sure something must have happened. Whether Delphy was so badly injured that he had to heal himself first in order to come back or he could just escape the hands of criminals, at least that's what Colden thought.

The wind that blows quite fast as if accompanying those who dissolve with their own thoughts.

"SISTER!!!" From a distance Blaze ran over. His face looks panicked. "Dad...just died."

Without saying anything Delphy immediately ran towards King Whittaker's room. Colden and Blaze follow Delphy. When they arrived at the King's Chamber, there was already Crystal, Queen, and Bach standing around King Whittaker who was now lying stiff with tears that they could not stand.

Delphy ran to embrace his father's body. His hands trembled feeling his father's body now turn cold. He could not believe it, just a moment ago his father's body was very warm when he embraced.

Clear liquid started coming out from both of Delphy's eyes. As much as possible Delphy held back his tears even though he could not release his embrace from the body of King Whittaker. His chest felt very tight withstanding the crying.

Crystal pulled Delphy's body so that King Whittaker's body could be cleaned immediately before the funeral. But Delphy did not move even a little, he still did not want to take off his embrace.

"Delphy, come here, dad's body needs to be taken care of before the funeral." Although with a rush of Crystal trying to attract Delphy.

The queen went out of the room first to prepare a funeral procession, while Bach and Blaze came out after Colden invited them.

Crystal's still trying to get Delphy out, "Don't be like this, please." Crystal was crying again.

Apparently the news of the King's death spread quickly in the Palace until Frost and Claude who were outside went straight to the King's Chamber to Delphy. Seeing Delphy like that, Frost immediately pulled him into his arms. Crystal was taken out by Claude.

In Frost's arms, Delphy was crying. He hugged Frost tightly. Frost just patted Delphy's back.

"Cry, it's okay. It hurts, I know, you don't have to hold it." Only those words could be spoken by Frost.

Delphy's cries are getting louder. Frost's clothes were now wet by Delphy's tears. Delphy remembered every memory of him with his father. For him he only had his father as a parent, the Queen never cared about him. But now, his father has left him.
