Green light was seen from a distance when the ship almost pulled over at the port, after which the sun set perfectly. Delphy's on the ship's deck with Frost.
"It's the first time I've seen the green light from sunset." Delphy. "It feels amazing, my chest doesn't stop pounding. I want to see it one more time.".
"One day let's look at that light again." Reply Frost.
Delphy turned to Frost with a smile, "Yes, of course!"
The ship began to pull over, passengers flocked down from the ship. Already entering autumn, the air felt quite cold. Frost clasped Delphy's hand, preventing the girl from disappearing from his sight. Can Frost feel Delphy's trembling hand at this moment. The girl looked very nervous, she was afraid of what she would see later.
Their journey was still quite far, it still took them about three days and two nights to reach downtown Whittaker. During that one week they had to follow the Caravan or rent a horse carriage themselves, but Frost had already ordered his own horse before they arrived.
Frost met a man with two white and brown horses standing at the port door. Delphy felt familiar with the white horse that the man had brought. I think he knows the horse well.
"Thank you for taking care of this horse." Said Frost while giving the man a bag of gold coins.
"It's nice to do business with you." Reply to the man.
Frost took the two horses out of the harbor. Without saying anything, Delphy followed Frost to a tavern. They decided to fill their stomachs before returning to travel.
Two large beers were served on Delphy and Frost's table. A beer won't make them drunk.
"I'm like recognizing that white horse." Delphy.
"Because it's your horse." Reply Frost casually.
Hearing that, Delphy almost choked on a beer sip. Frost wiped the spilled beer without saying anything.
It feels like Delphy really misses his favorite white horse. In his heart he was grateful that the white horse could come back to him. To be honest, Delphy did not expect that Frost would secure his horse like that.
Finish eating they look for lodging. Continuing the journey at night is very unlikely near a port like this. Usually the robbers will wait in a certain place to snatch the luggage of the passengers of the ship.
An inn with wooden walls became their stopover tonight, unfortunately only one room remained. Actually it is not a problem, because on the ship they occupy the same room only the room this time only has one mattress with a large size, unlike on a ship that has two mattresses with small size. It was too late to find another place.
Delphy felt awkward about the current situation.
"Sleep, I want to get some fresh air." Frost said then went out of the room after putting the stuff down.
Despite feeling bad, Delphy could not argue. Somehow Delphy could never refute Frost's words at all. The man felt very dominant even though no threat came out of his mouth.
Delphy began to lay down on the bed. His eyes looked at the sky of the room. His head was filled with worry for the Whittaker kingdom. Although he could have asked the people he met at the tavern or at the inn, he was just too scared.
Just by looking at the people around him at the moment Delphy felt nothing bad happened. He did not hear the chatter of people around him who talked about the Kingdom. If something bad happened, it would not be this calm.
Before long Frost came out of the bathroom with a t-shirt and trousers, a shirt that looked very comfortable to sleep in.
"Ah, I forgot to change clothes, it's worth it I can't sleep." Delphy rambled himself trying to remove the awkwardness, until he came out of the bathroom in a nightgown.
Frost is seen sitting on the couch reading the newspaper. Delphy sat on the edge of the bed, there were a lot of things he wanted to say but nothing at all. Tonight Delphy decided to tell Frost.
"Thank you for accompanying me here, I can actually continue on my own journey."
Frost folded his newspapers. "I'm not with you, it just so happens that our goals are the same."
"What do you want to do at Whittaker?" Delphy asked in surprise, wasn't Frost not from Whittaker?
"My job is to be your companion, it just so happens that my goal is to also make sure you're safe and keep an eye on you."
Delphy folded his hands and tilted his head. "What kind of coincidence is that?"
"There's no need to think about anything else, just focus on your goals and assume I'm not there if it bothers you." Frost picked up a bottle of wine available on a small table. "Want a drink?" Continue while pouring wine in two glasses.
Delphy sat next to Frost, just a small table separating them. "I don't really mind your existence, it's just that I'm not used to your coldness."
Frost drank the wine. "Because actually I just don't like to talk too much, like right now."
"Ah, sorry to bother you." Delphy feels bad for making Frost do something he doesn't like.
Frost shook his head, "What's wrong, sometimes having a long chat doesn't seem like a bad thing either."
"There's so much I want to ask you about the season's keeper and the season's god's incantation."
Frost nodded without answering.
"Didn't fate really play tricks on me? I feel like I'm a useless person right now. I can't accept my true reality, on the one hand if what you're saying is true about the current Whittaker it means I'm also useless as a Royal Knight."
"On the other hand, I still reject the truth about myself. The things I should have done I couldn't accept. I still refused completely and felt angry and confused, not knowing what to do."
"Since yesterday, I've been silent. In addition to the end of this I fell asleep more, it feels like I really rest when I have to do something. My dreams are always about the past, it makes me feel more and more my life today is sad unfortunately at the same time I also feel like returning my old happiness, as in my dreams."
"Many things I want to ask you, but I'm afraid if all my questions are answered then the reality I don't want to meet is getting closer. I'm worried about Crystal, my brother's brother, my parents and my kingdom. I think my head is going to break at this moment."
There was no refutation whatsoever from Frost, he chose to listen to every babble that came out of Delphy's mouth carefully. The man let Delphy reveal all the things that were weighing him down.
