A few months later, a man died of an illness. As usual, people were going to bury him. They all seem to have forgotten the curse of Ki Bramanthoro, but not the Evil Shaman. The evil shaman who is now the only shaman in the village, immediately came out of his hut and went to the house of the first people who died after the incident. Arriving there, he prevented residents to bury.
Without much explaining to the residents and the family of the corpse, the Shaman immediately performed the ritual. Some incense was burned, then –with offerings and flowers - he sat cross-legged and began to cast Javanese spells on the corpse. Mr. Kades and all the citizens were confused to see his very frightened behavior, but the shaman did not bully. Only he knows, how terrible a curse, even more so Ki Bramanthoro is as sacred as him. This curse cannot be seen with one eye.
Just a few minutes after the ritual began, the dead body of the woman opened its eyes. Eyes, which should not be able to open again, it opens by showing a dark black color throughout the eyeball. The shaman looked in shock, he immediately ended his ritual and asked residents to immediately bury this corpse. Residents were certainly horrified to death, the corpse opened its eyes and glanced back and forth, observing the people who were crowding it. But because the shaman insisted, with great concern, they finally carried the corpse into the coffin and took it to the cemetery.
On the way to the village cemetery, the corpse's hands came out and twitched, trying to grab the heads of the citizens who were carrying his coffins. The whole bodyguard was screaming hysterically. But the shaman instead scolded them to speed up the steps towards the funeral. He continued to read the incantations, bouncing the coffins of the corpse. Arriving at the cemetery, of course, no one dared to open the coffin of the corpse. The cutters could already feel the corpse stomping, writhing inside. The shaman snapped at the timid citizen, and told some men to open the coffin.
When the coffin was opened, the corpse wriggled half awake, trying to escape from the pocong cloth that wrapped it. His eyes were glaring around, this corpse was truly alive! A man, the family of corpses, approached him and hugged his wife, whom he thought was alive again. But his wife was biting his neck to tear. The man screamed in pain. Other residents tried to release the undead bite, but it seemed too late. His blood flowed profusely from the veins of his neck, the man was killed on the spot.
All the mourners were screaming hysterically at the scene, some even ran away. The shaman immediately responded by bouncing the corpse, but there was no result. Soon he ordered to bury this corpse immediately. Residents were forced to obey, of course they were afraid to touch the corpse. They then spilled the corpse from its coffin, threw it into a burrow and immediately buried it with the ground.
After the burial process was completed, the shaman continued to bash his headstone. Whatever he did seemed to be in vain. But he could do nothing more, only he understood what was going on. Ki Bramanthoro's curse came true. Other residents must be confused and panic over what happened. But the shaman calmed them down, and told them to return to their homes.
The terror does not seem to stop there. At midnight, Mr. Kades was awakened by some terrified citizens. They claimed to have seen the corpse walking – wrapped in a shroud full of soil around the cemetery. Mr. Kades was aghast in shock, he immediately went to wake the Shaman, and gathered some citizens. It seemed like the Shaman could already predict this would happen, he was already getting ready in his hut. And they all flocked to the village cemetery.
Not only had they reached the burial area, the corpse had already confronted them abruptly on the way. The body came out of one of the houses of – residents whose residents had been killed and then attacked the group.
Some residents were stabbed right in the chest. It should be that the hand of a middle-aged woman is not that strong, moreover, she should have been unable to move since a few hours ago. The other residents ran away. Mr. Kades and some of the citizens managed to save themselves, and only the Shaman dared to face him. He cast some Javanese spells that seemed to effectively paralyze the corpse, tying it with some sort of black power. The corpse thrashed with considerable force, but the Shaman continued to shower it with the same spells. After being completely knocked to the ground, the new citizens dared to secure the corpse, tie it up, and take it towards the shaman's house, as ordered.
There the people immediately put the body into the shack house owned by the Shaman. As if already knowing what to do, the Shaman immediately wrote a spell in Javanese script with blood from his own finger, on some brown opaque paper, and pasted it all over the body of the corpse. He also put the paper behind the door of his hut, then locked it tightly. The plan of the Shaman is to lock the undead in his own house that has been destroyed. The fear on their faces slightly lessened, it seemed like this plan had worked. The body was confined inside the house, unable to escape. Even from the rope ties and the spell paper paste it alone cannot. Despite that, they could still hear the sound of the corpse growling, screaming in pain, stomping on the wooden floor of the old hut.
Just as they sighed, several other citizens suddenly came rushing over in a flurry. They reported that the villagers who were killed by the undead began to open their eyes, even some who had been wriggling. It seemed as if as soon as the middle-aged woman's corpse rose from her grave, she had already killed several residents around the cemetery. And now, the victims began to rise also because of the curse of Ki Bramanthoro. Sure enough, they were also citizens of this village, the curse was also applicable to them.
The shaman growled with emotion, he immediately ordered the residents to bring all the villagers who died that night to be taken and put into his house. That night the number of victims reached 20 more. It was a bloody night that the entire population would never forget, including little Mas Joko. Though he only intends to follow the crowd of citizens who run around at night. But because of that, he almost became a victim.
The next morning, the Shaman ventured to check on his house, which was now filled with dozens of undead. His face was pale exhausted, gripped with fear because of the terror of dozens of undead. So did the face of Mr. Kades and some of the citizens who had been on guard all night, guarding the Shaman's house, making sure that no bodies escaped. Of course they couldn't sleep all night. The screaming sounds of the bodies screaming –as a result of being hit by paper spells echoed in their brains until this morning. However, the voices were no longer heard when the shaman opened the door of his house.
The woman's body no longer moved. But some of the corpses of the residents were still moving, and there were even still some who tried to run attacking as soon as the Shaman opened the door of his house. The shaman reflexively shut the door again tightly. It seemed like the spell behind the door was efficacious to hold them back - even though he lacked the paper and blood again to bind some of the undead. Then they all waited for another day. And the next day, no more bodies moved.
It seemed as if each of them had come back to life for only about half a day, the Shaman concluded after making sure all the corpses in his house were completely dead. It's really terrible, the curse really happened. They, the dead villagers, rose again to die a second time. Which demon is capable of doing this terrible thing.
Since then, every citizen who dies, for whatever reason and anywhere in this part of the world, they will suffer the same fate, like that middle-aged woman and the people who died that night. And since then, the evil Shaman has been doing the "Procedure. Locking those who die in their own homes that have been smashed until they die again, and then buried properly.
.....................................................................
1998 Was the beginning of the construction of puskesmas in this village. Doctor Denny, who was originally on duty outside the island, was reassigned to this village. Doctor Denny is indeed a native of this village, he considers the local government very kind to move him in his hometown. Of course, the local government has its own intentions.
For three years, the events of dozens of bodies that returned to life, in this village, have been heard to their ears, the local government (pemda) and the police. The cause is the occurrence of dead bodies of residents who rise again, but outside the territory of this village. It happened because many villagers were wandering around, living outside this village. Then they died and the curse took place in their respective residences. This caused a big problem, horrendous residents outside the village, even to urban areas. Luckily, the villagers were not many, and the region was not too far away either, so the issue of the curse did not spread too widely.
At first the local government and police did not believe, but when the Shaman and Mr. Kades showed evidence –A villager died, he said, then the local government representatives visited him and saw for themselves the people were alive again they were running around in fear. They then put the matter to Mr. Kades and the Shaman. Because he could not continue to rely on the old wooden house, the Shaman and Mr. Kades then proposed that a special building be built to accommodate the bodies. The government proposed the construction of a puskesmas, because they could not have built a building with such terrible and strange reasons. Of course, the Government is also trying to cover this issue from the public spotlight.
After learning of this terrible reality, Doctor Denny inevitably helps. He could not allow this irrational, illogical, and outside medical science curse to haunt his native village. Together with Mr. Kades and the Shaman, they made a special room to accommodate the corpses of the village. Not forgetting they bounced, behind the door, and locked it tightly with iron chains They named the room "Corpse's room" so as not to arouse suspicion. And the building was made into a puskesmas.
With Mr. Badrun's help, the two of them were the first medical personnel to perform the "procedure. "The "procedure" was first performed at the puskesmas in 2000 after the puskesmas building was completed. The local government and the police inevitably follow, because the way it is considered the easiest and safest. Just send the body identified as a villager to Doctor Denny's "artificial" health center, and everything will be in order. They did not want to take the hassle, they were also afraid of the magical power of the curse.
It has been 19 years since then, and until now the "Corpse handling procedure" is still being carried out. The curse has not been broken, and it continues to terrorize the villagers.
