Neighbor's Pocong: Rise Back (Part 7)

“Yes you guys must have used a bug!” other market visitors.

Warteg visitors who screamed in pain were finally taken one by one to the nearest hospital. Another thing happened with Tika and Amprung, they were pelted with garbage and stones, the stalls were scrambled. The money was stolen and burned in front of the two.

“Our agreement. Really, we don't use a bug!” Amprung hugged his wife, protecting her from the rampage of the citizens.

“Halah! Lying you!” a wood hit Amprung's head. He was sprawled with blood.

“Pak!” Tika screamed while embracing her husband.

Before the residents could kill them both, the police came to the market Kliwon. One of the police chiefs fired a firearm into the air to disperse the crowd.

Fortunately, Amprung and Tika were still able to be saved. And what happened next was very sad, their warteg was closed forcibly then labeled 'Parteg Pesugihan' it was very embarrassing.

As a result of the blunt force, Amprung was unconscious for two days. He was treated in the same hospital as his clients. One night in the hospital, when Tika and her son were fast asleep next to Amprung's bed, the window curtain moved in the wind. There is a shadow of a pocong out there ready to charge his money back.

Meanwhile, Amprung lay quietly, his hands were infused, his mouth was fitted with breathing apparatus, his chest went down and sign that he was alive. Amprung dreamed that he was in a quiet place.

He sat alone on the bench. From the right direction came the sound of shoes approaching, it was Mbah Goto. Amprung grinned happily when he saw the old man.

“Mbah help me. How to stop that pocong?”

“If you don't want to return the money, you just go to the grave.”

“Then?” ask Amprung.

“You stole a shroud strap at the ankle.”

Amprung was silent for a moment, “There's more I have to do, Mbah?”

Amprung nodded, it sounded very easy. He could have done it. To him, returning the stolen money was a disgrace. He could not bear the shame, especially what he stole was his own neighbor. Better Amprung do what Mbah Goto suggested only.

He woke up, breathing heavily and turning to the window. The shadow of the pocong was still standing there. Amprung hastily woke up his wife and son. They screamed in panic and the doctors and nurses arrived.

“Pocong, Doc! There's pocong!” Amprung pointed towards the window, but there was nothing there.

“Quiet, Sir. You must be hallucinating,” said the doctor while laying back Amprung's body.

Tomorrow, Amprung asks to go home. He felt he no longer needed treatment. The doctor advised him to stay in the hospital for two more days, but Amprung insisted he wanted to go home. He could not wait to do what Mbah Goto suggested in his dream.

***

All are ready. He will do the action alone. Actually Tika forbade her husband to do the strange thing and advised her to return the corpse, but Amprung still did not want to.

So that night, while the people were sleeping soundly, Amprung went to the grave of Mr. Rusdi on his new motorbike. This afternoon he had gone there, to ascertain the location of Mr. Rusdi's grave.

Not twenty minutes later, he arrived at the funeral. Amprung looked around, making sure that no one saw the action. Amprung smiled, he had found Mr. Rusdi's grave. A hoe is removed from the sack.

“Pocong *****,” Amprung murmur.

As the hoe was stuck on the grave ground, suddenly the surface of the ground shook. Amprung panicked, but he still did the action. The land he dug up. The smell of smoke poking the nose. The corpse was already full of maggots, his face was rotting and even his skull was visible.

Amprung's hand trembled as he took the shroud strap at the ankle. He grabbed a bottle of water from the surface of the tomb that he deliberately brought. He rolled up the rope and swallowed it while gulping water.
