Neighbor's Pocong: Lottery Number (Part 4)

Amprung kept the bottle very neatly. He wrapped it in a used cloth then put it in cardboard. He kept it in the closet. No one can open the closet. Zahra, Amprung's daughter, was repeatedly reminded by her mother not to open the closet.

At midnight while they were sleeping, there was the sound of a bottle being knocked on. Tika's awake. The sound came from the closet. Pocong from inside the bottle forced want to come out. Tika shook her husband's body.

“Pak, wake up!”

“What's up?” Amprung woke up still drowsy.

“Listen, Sir,” says Tika.

Amprung tucked his earlobe

“Pocong?”

“Iya, Sir.”

Amprung immediately got out of bed. He opened the cupboard and checked the bottle. Inside the bottle was a white smoke that floated but was calm. The bottle shook while continuing to let out a knocking sound.

“Pak, how about later this bottle breaks?”

“You don't worry. This bottle is powerful and will not be penetrable pocong damn it.”

“Tik, Tika.. see this,” Amprung show the bottle to his wife.

How strange. From inside the bottle came four-digit numbers that I don't know what they mean.

“3785,” Amprung hastily noted it.

“That's what number, sir?”

“Ndon't know. Just record it first. Who knows it could be a talisman.”

The sound of a knock from inside the bottle was gone. Amprung put the bottle back in place very carefully.

The next day, at the Kliwon market, Amprung helps Sardi sell. If it is diligent, Amprung works so anything in that market. Sometimes being a pikulan, sometimes help people stall. But, he more often just sleeps in the corner of the market while waiting for prey to be pickpocketed.

“Sardi!”

there appeared a man from the west who was wearing a cowboy hat. He brought a book and a pen.

“Woi, Arman!” Sardi turned towards the man with a smile.

“Custom. Want to install the lottery, no?” Arman opened the book he was carrying. In the book, there are many numbers of lottery numbers to choose from.

“Bby deh. I put two digits only,” in between his busy life, he spent two thousand rupiah.

“You what number?” ask Arman.

“Hai, you're Amprung, install the lottery,” Sardi hit the lottery book to Amprung's head.

“No money, Bang,” timpalnya without looking at Sardi.

“The money I gave you yesterday is up?” ask Sardi.

Suddenly Amprung's face brightened. He remembered that the shaman refused the money. Amprung hastily reached into his pants.

“It's still there.”

“How much is it?”

“I put a thousand silver ajalah, Bang. Money for gambling tonight.”

“How many digits?”

Amprung was silent, he remembered the 4-digit number stamped in the bottle.

“Four bang, four digits.”

“Number?” Arman prepared to take notes.

“3785.”

"Dine, Prung. Good luck to you," Arman left. He will go around the market to offer lottery gambling.

A few days later, a four-digit lottery number came out. Amprung was surprised because the bet was right. The number coming out of the lottery is 3785. Amprung received a prize of two million rupiah. He regretted not betting more.

“I won the lottery, Tik. His number is from the bottle last night.”

“Serious, Sir?”

“Iya, Tik. Later that night we'll see the bottle again. Who knows if the lottery number appears again.”

However, until the next three days, the bottle did not issue a lottery number. There was only a knock from inside the bottle. The pocong was urgent to be expelled.

“Pocong shit! Make it noisy,” Amprung throw clothes hangers in the direction of the closet. The sound was so disturbing that the Amprung family had trouble sleeping.

"Sir, try to move the bottle to the kitchen" Tika suggested.

Amprung followed his wife's advice. He took the bottle to the kitchen and placed it on the dining table. Eventually the Amprung family closed their eyes. Now the voice just sounded soft and faint.

However, before Amprung fell asleep suddenly a noise was heard in the kitchen. They heard a sound like broken glass. A moment later followed the sound of the cat meowing.

"Sir, the bottle!," Tika panicked and woke her husband up. They both ran to the kitchen
