Last meeting

Early in the morning Adhisty drove his car as fast as he could. The woman was already very impatient to get to where she was headed. Adhisty is very sure, it is the only evidence that can ensnare Erlina, for the murder he had committed a dozen years ago. Although it means, Adhisty also has to sacrifice himself, he does not care at all, as long as the truth can be revealed. I don't know what Erlina's gonna do again, if she gets away with Davina's case.

Adhisty parked his car right in front of a three-story building. He got out of the car and into the building. Lucky, because it is still early in the morning the atmosphere looks very quiet. So Adhisty can directly approach the special officer in charge.

After following several procedures, the officer then escorted Adhisty into a room.

"Please, Mother." After helping to unlock the keys, the well-appointed female officer invites Adhisty to take over, and leaves the room immediately to give her privacy.

After the officer died, Adhisty rushed out a large, flat box and placed it on the floor.

The box is his safe deposit box. The woman always keeps her valuables there to be more secure and awake. He immediately took out all the important papers stored there, until the box was empty. Once empty, he tried to tap on the base of the SDB box, then pull the small hook at the end of the box and lift it.

Surely what he had in mind! A small memory card and an old type of voice recording device stored neatly there.

Erlina's habit of always carrying a variety of men makes Adhisty furious. Therefore, he put a voice recorder in the mother's car almost every day, not least on the fateful day.

He recalled, after Erlina hit Rossane's car, in shock Adhisty still had time to take the memory card in Erlina's car dashcam and also her voice recorder.

Erlina did ask for the existence of the memory card, but Adhisty forgot what he said to the mother, so Erlina did not mind it.

Adhisty took the two important objects, then tidied up all the valuables. He was determined to turn himself in to the police. However, before that he had to meet Arion first, because after he went to the police station, the opportunity to talk to Arion would definitely be no more.

Adhisty saw his watch. There is still time until departure time. Adhisty put on a knotty smile. The heavy burden that he had been carrying unconsciously, could finally be lifted as well.

"Mbak," call Dini when you see Sekar again daydreaming. That girl must be thinking about Arion. Yesterday Arion said that Adhisty would come to see the man in his apartment.

Previously, Adhisty intended to see Sekar as well. However, he abandoned that intention. For some reason, Adhisty felt that he had no face, facing Sekar.

Bu Ida approached Sekar and took a knife from his hand. He was worried that Sekar accidentally injured his hand if he kept daydreaming.

"Better, you just wait at the dinner table, huh? Let Mom cook. Dini and Amanda have been quite helpful in the kitchen," said Bi Ida while embracing Sekar and sitting him in the dining chair.

"I'm sorry, ma'am," said Sekar, bowing in shame. More than twice he has been caught dreaming.

"It's okay, honey." Madam Ida smiled knot. He gently stroked Sekar's head before returning to the kitchen.

Moments later, a wide variety of dishes were ready at the dinner table. Bayu and Aiden join them.

Seeing the uneasiness clearly on Arion's face, Aiden said, "You don't have to worry, Miss."

I gasped to hear Aiden talking to him. The girl then threw a small smile. Aiden also said, he does not need to worry about small things like that. Arion is not the type of man who is easily ignited emotions. After all, Adhisty had nothing to do with Davina, nor Erlina. However, still he could not shake his uneasy feelings.

Adhisty is standing awkwardly in front of the door of the apartment that Arion lives in. The woman took a deep breath, before pressing the intercom that was there.

Shortly after, Arion opened the apartment door. His face looked at Adhisty's state which looked completely different. His half-brother's body looked much thinner. His face was not as fresh as usual.

"You okay?" arion asked without bothering to hide his worries.

Adhisty nodded. "Yes. " The woman's eyes looked at Arion softly. "I'm sorry if my arrival here bothers you" he said.

Once inside, Adhisty's eyes were immediately fixed on two dishes that seemed to have just been arranged on the table.

"I just finished cooking. You must be hungry after a long trip. So, we'll eat first." Arion pulls out a chair and asks Adhisty to sit there. Arion sat across from him.

"You don't have to do all this" Adhisty protested in a low tone.

"I told you I wanted to eat with you, didn't I?" Arion began to pick up his cutlery and ate the dish he had just cooked. Meanwhile, Adhisty only looks daydreaming while occasionally staring at Arion.

Inner turbulent. There was a desire to tell the man about the accident that Rossane, his biological mother, had experienced. However, Adhisty is afraid of Arion's reaction. Arion has asthma.

Let it be, Arion found out later from a third party. He did not want this last meeting to bring hurt to his sister.

"Ryon," call the woman.

Arion raised his head. "Why? You don't like this food?" tanyakanya.

Adhisty.

"Then? Is there any other food you want to eat? Let me buy it," he bargained.

Adhisty shook his head again. The woman was seen clutching tightly to the spoon in her hand. "If I ask you not to forgive us, but, for the sake of dispelling this feeling, I will still say it" Adhisty began the conversation.

Adhisty looked at his sister deeply. "I'm sorry, Ryon. Everything that happened, your family's lost happiness, we couldn't possibly replace it." The tears that he had sustained, finally fell as well.

"Don't forget, give my big apology to Sekar. I'll try to make amends for what we did."

Arion raised next to his eyebrows. He did not understand what Adhisty said. "Whatchu mean? We were? Us, who?"

Adhisty smiled knot. The woman then took out something in her bag.

A white envelope containing the resignation letter as Manager, then three savings books and two apartment keys, as well as the safe deposit box key and the power of attorney, placed Adhisty on the table.

"From the beginning I didn't deserve any of this" Adhisty said.

"What's wrong with you?" asked Arion surprised.

"I told you, I don't deserve any of this. All that is in me is the kindness that Dad and you have given me" Adhisty replied. He stood up from his chair, saying goodbye.

"You just arrived." Arion stood up and approached Adhisty.

"I can't stay here for long." Adhisty again put on a knotty smile, which for some reason, looked very heartbreaking in Arion's eyes.

Arion tries to hold back his half-brother, but Adhisty insists on refusing. Know that Adhisty is not being forced. He also drove the woman's departure to the front door of the apartment.

Before Adhisty actually steps away, he asks Arion to grant his one wish.

"Tell me what you want" said Arion.

Adhisty put on a witty face. "We never really got along. So, can I hug my little brother just once?" ask him with a joke.

Arion did not answer. He turned closer to Adhisty and hugged the woman's small body as tightly as he could. That was when Adhisty's sobs broke.
