Sharing Love: Is My Husband Yours?

Sharing Love: Is My Husband Yours?
Promises

Sunday has arrived. Mas Darwin and Alya held a four-month study at his home. Many people came, praying for safety and perfection for Alya's son. Alya seemed so happy.

Meanwhile, at home mom is back babbling. "Darwin is not coming home again this week. He must be with that woman. Looks like he really doesn't want to divorce her." Mom's so upset. I too became a victim of his frustration.

"It's all because of you, Rania. Last week, Darwin returned to Indralaya. You guys must have a fight, right?" said mother.

"Why can't you please your husband a little? Your husband should come home with a smile, not with anger. You don't become a wife. Hence, Darwin returned to the woman's arms."

"Let you regret yourself if you become a widow." Mom kept babbling and I chose not to pay her any heed. I entered my room, locked it, and took a deep breath. I try not to be distressed by mother's words.

A few days later in the office Mas Darwin was pensive while watching my wallet he was holding. He remembered my words, '... Besides, I have to raise money to take care of our divorce suit.'

He looks unhappy. 'Rania .. should I take you off?' It is hard for Darwin to think about that. Moreover, her child is growing inside my body.

He's upset, he really doesn't know what to do. If only she could have wanted so badly to keep our marriage. However, he could not do it because he could not release Alya.

'Darling, Friday can you accompany me to check the contents?' A message from Alya came in on Mas Darwin's phone.

'Yes, I can, ' said Mas Darwin.

Then, that Friday came. Darwin deliberately went home early to accompany Alya check the contents. Darwin picked up Alya at his office.

"Darling, I can't wait to know the gender of our child" Alya said on the way.

"Famil four months her gender can already be seen huh?" ask Darwin.

"Hmmm. I don't know either, honey. Can it be seen or not?" muttered Alya. "But I read that if it's been four months, the mother can feel the baby's movements. I can't wait to feel our kid's little kicks, honey."

"Loh, it's been four months. Doesn't it feel like his movement yet?" ask Darwin.

"No, yet" Alya replied spoiledly. "His baby sister is lazy to move maybe yes. Or, she's shy."

Mas Darwin shook his head to hear Alya's babbling and did not feel they had arrived at the obstetrician's practice.

After patiently waiting in line, Alya's name was called and they both entered the check room. The doctor then performed an ultrasound on Alya's stomach and instantly the smile on her face faded.

'... Ms. Alya should do a curette operation immediately. Faster, better. Or, can we schedule it tomorrow morning if Alya's mom is ready.' The doctor's words were ringing in Mas Darwin's ears.

'... Her fetal age should have already entered seventeen weeks. However, Mother Alya's fetus only develops until the age of fifteen weeks. His heart rate is no more. Her fetus is not growing...."

Tears had flooded Alya's face since then. Darwin was driving a car with a pretty messed up mind. And they finally got home.

However, Alya paid no heed to it. She opened the door of the room that had been prepared for her baby. Light blue shades greeted him as soon as the door opened.

Alya slowly stepped her feet into the room. He looked around and hugged the baby pillow inside the baby box. "My son," he murmured. "My son...." Her tears kept falling.

Then, he approached the wardrobe that had been prepared for his son. On top of the closet there are dolls and picture frames that are still empty. Suddenly Alya took the frame and slammed it hard. He threw everything in front of him. He threw the baby car seat nearby hard and pushed the stroller to a fall.

Darwin hugged Alya from behind. "Calm down, honey! Relax!" whispered to Darwin.

Alya continued to cry, unable to accept the new reality she knew. "I can't, honey. I can't," he said. "He's my son."

Darwin then clutched Alya tightly. "He's my son too, dear" whispered Mas Darwin. "I'm as hurt as you are."

"You must be patient, you must be steadfast" said Mas Darwin. "You must be strong."

But Alya was still crying. He was expecting that child. "I've wanted to have children for years. And, when ... already had it. I had to lose this child," said Alya among a hiccup of tears.

Darwin was speechless. He could only hug Alya tightly, trying to calm Alya's feelings and so that she would not commit such a dangerous stupid act.

The next day Alya's face was still clearly visible when entering the operating room. He's going to have a curette operation this morning. Darwin tried to strengthen Alya to be firm and sincere to accept reality. Despite the weight of Alya finally gave up her son.

After the operation was over, Darwin sent me a message. 'Rania, I can't go home today. There's business I need to finish.'

I read the message and thought Mas Darwin's fool wanted to go home or not. I live my days as usual and every day still listen to mother's babble.

Today I'm raving, "Take a look if Darwin doesn't come home today. It was now a month past the time given to her to divorce Alya. He should've divorced her."

"Huffth...." I took a deep breath. 'There may be Mas Darwin divorcing Alya, ' I thought. Today he did not go home again. 'It's so obvious Mas Darwin prefers Alya, ' my inner self.

Darwin may not even care that my pregnancy is twenty-eight weeks old or in other words seven months. It means that the time of birth of the child in my stomach is approaching.

I need to get the divorce papers in court before this child is born. My time is not much anymore. I had to move quickly, but my ID card was still stuck with Mas Darwin

Meanwhile, Mas Darwin accompanies Alya in a mother and child hospital room. Her tears trickled when she saw her child's fetus that had to be removed. However, he hid his tears from Alya. He must be strong in order to give spirit to Alya who still continues to shed tears.

"Already, Honey! Don't cry anymore!" mas Darwin said when removing the tears on Alya's cheeks.

"I lost my son, darling," said Alya lirih. "And soon I'll lose you."

"Why do you say that?" said Mas Darwin. "I'm right here. I'm not leaving you."

"I promise."
