Chapter 5 The Pain

Zoya goes to the rooftop and cries her way there. He squeezed his chest which felt very tight. It was as easy as his lover to take it off and throw it away without any guilt. What should he say to his parents about this. Didn't Bryan think carefully before deciding everything unilaterally. What all this time his presence did not mean so much in Bryan's life. Zoya was still crying until a gentle elucidant in her head resuscitated her.

"He's gone too far" Haden said.

Zoya immediately turned around and looked at Haden with teary eyes. The man sighed and then opened both of his hands. He let the body of the girl he loved so much make it a backrest when sad.

"Why are you the only one who is always there when I fall like this." isak Zoya makes Haden's smile expand.

"Because I love you so much."

"Why is my heart not for you" said Zoya as she improved. He took the handkerchief Haden had thrust at him.

"Maybe we're not a couple."

They both laughed after Haden said those words. Haden is a lawyer at the hospital. He loved Haden long before she met Bryan. Haden and Zoya were college friends who at that time were both upset because it was decided. Their friendship began from that moment.

"I don't know if I can handle Donita or not. My heart hurts so much Den, Bryan crushed it to a crumble."

Hearing this, Haden tried to convince Zoya of the principles that had been firmly held by her. He doesn't want Zoya to falter just because of this. Although it is painful, Donita's life is at stake. He does not want his best friend to be out of control if he does something unexpected.

"Zoya, I really know how you've been handling patients professionally. Don't think of Donita as the woman who turned Bryan away. He's your patient, who you have to save."

Zoya nodded, she should not mix personal things with her work. All this time, he has been very professional. Zoya doesn't want her medical career ruined because of Donita. He would not let his thoughts destroy everything.

"Thank you Den" he said.

Zoya is back in her room. He again studied Donita's case on the sidelines. Then a resident knocked on his door. He let in.

"What's up, Lin?"

"Doctor Zoya, there's something wrong with Donita."

"Based on the test results, only his heart was in trouble. However, here it is clear if the conditions are worse than we predicted."

"We have to go back to the examination" said Zoya and she immediately met Donita.

Zoya ignores Bryan's whereabouts. He knew this hospital belonged to his family, probably because it made him free to roam everywhere.

"Mother Donita, I'd like to say a few things about your condition. But before that I want you to have a CT scan test."

"Is it so bad? Ask Donita who was so worried.

"We'll find out soon enough."

"Sister Ely, please take the patient to the CT scan room" Zoya ordered.

Bryan immediately restrains Zoya as the girl is about to leave.

"Is the condition so severe?"

"The results will come out after the examination is over." Zoya looks so cold on Bryan. "Doctor Bryan, I don't know why you're so at home here that you ignore your patients."

Zoya goes and checks on Donita. There he could see that his heart condition was already very severe. Although transplantation is done, it is unlikely to be successful.

"Take him back to his room." Zoya orders.

"All right, Doc."
