Chapter 1 The Heart that is Wounded

"Darling, I'll pick you up tonight."

"Hopefully there are no distractions." Zoya quipped as they were about to enter the hospital lobby.

There Bryan was greeted warmly by several senior doctors who were passing by. Zoya decides to go to the elevator first. Bryan immediately chased after her and coincided with the opening of the elevator.

"Did they make you uncomfortable?"

"It's not that, it's just that they greeted you not me. Anyway if I'm why they won't respond. So just ignore it," Zoya said with a smile.

When the elevator closes, Bryan approaches and kisses Zoya on the lips. He always felt addicted to the shape and beauty of the chewy object. Zoya also kisses him back. His eyes looked at the figures in the elevator and immediately took them off with gasping breaths.

"We have arrived" he said and immediately fix his hair that had tangled because of Bryan's actions.

In front of the elevator a nun immediately greeted the two of them.

"Doctor Zoya, thank goodness you've come. There's a patient waiting in the ER. Doctor Samanta hasn't come yet, Doc."

Zoya and Bryan immediately headed for the room and there lay a beautiful woman with shoulder-length hair on her back to them.

"Can I help you, Mom?" ask Zoya while putting on a smile. Beside him Bryan also smiled.

The woman turned around and made Bryan startled as their eyes met each other. The woman also looked surprised to see Bryan there. Zoya notices the two of them who seem to know each other, she returns to her duties as a doctor. Maybe he was just being prejudiced, he thought.

"Ah yes, Doc. I'm often short of breath and easily exhausted, Doc."

Donita's condition suddenly dropped. Zoya immediately installed a breathing apparatus and immediately inturks the nurse injecting something into the infusion. After that they immediately installed the engine. Zoya sees Bryan's worried look on her face when she sees Donita drop. That makes Zoya jealous. However, he was still aware that he was currently at work.

"Suster Eka, continue to monitor patients" said Zoya.

"Bryan, can we talk to you for a second?" zoya asked, taking the man out of the room.

Zoya advises Bryan to be professional and respect herself as a lover. Moreover her actions are seen by many sisters, Zoya just does not want to cause much speculation regarding her relationship which is fine because of this. However, Bryan seems to ignore Zoya's advice. He immediately rushed off back to the room Donita was being treated at this time.

"Is she so important that my voice is no longer useful." Zoya muttered slightly hoarsely as she held back the crying from earlier.

She admitted that as a girl who is used to being spoiled by her family, she admitted that she was currently wanting to be understood and noticed by her lover, not vice versa. The man was busier with the patient who had just come and complained of chest pain. Zoya takes a slow breath and returns to Bryan, who is still waiting for Donita.

"Doctor Bryan, he's my patient, please go back to your room."

"I'll wait for him here."

"Doctor Bryan, once again he's my patient, I'm handling it not you. Now get out!"

Zoya raised the intonation of her voice making some sisters watch the two of them intensely.

"Be professional Doctor Bryan."
